.. not without reason because the cost of living in my country is very cheap and I have many relatives here and also want to be buried near the graves of my parents in the future, ...

Many people will immediately think of or wish to live and retire in countries that are ranked as the most livable in the world such as having a large economy, pleasant climate...But like you, wherever my family and loved ones are, that's where I want to retire and enjoy my old age. It would be very boring and lonely to live in a place without loved ones around, even if it is a luxurious life.

In addition, finance is also an important factor, how can we enjoy old age comfortably without having many assets? So, take advantage of your youth to build your career and accumulate assets, things that should be prioritized instead of thinking about things in the distant future like retirement.

I don't have a fixed country yet in my mind but I'll love to retire in a country that cares about their environment and don't pollute it like how most of the big cities around the world are getting polluted everyday. I won't want to spend my retirement days inhaling harmful air. Netherlands is one of the countries in the world that has less car pollution because of their culture of making use of bicycles and this also help them stay healthier as they keep on doing exercise regularly when they're riding their bicycle.

I don't know if they're friendly to Bitcoin but I haven't heard anything that bad about the regulation of cryptocurrency from that country. Why I just love them is because they're friendly and also eco friendly too. Every country has their different economy challenges hence I won't consider that before deciding where to retire if I had the opportunity and finance to choose.

Well I would like to retire in a country that is very safe and also does have some good public healthcares. Those are 2 most important things for me when I do think about this.
Iceland is the safest country in the world in this year. So maybe I would like to retire there. But it does not have best healthcare those are countries in Europe like Switzerland, Ireland, Ireland, and Germany.

Chosen the country to retire depends on your level of income or your financial capacity, a person who bearly feed or an average person will never think of going to another country while he has less or no cash. As for me I can only think of retiring in another country if I have my major asset or investment there. But as for now my major asset is in my country so I can't predict where to retire since I still have along way to go, afterall am still young and would have my decision when I am approaching retirement age. You most times we talk things out of excitement but when nature hit us we change our focus so like I said till then.

Everyone's retirement plan suitable for them and mind you retirement isn't some sort of vacation idea.However,when chasing your retirement plan,There're financial considerations to pen down,for example tax free countries and the cost of living and your individual needs and goals shouldn't be left behind because that's the major purpose of the relocation entirely.

I hate to see some people feeling like when it comes to their retirement goals and plans,they have it all figured out,it's better to consult a financial advisor to get personalized retirement planning guidance and clever strategies.

Exactly every country is going through some economic ups and down and at such we need to understand that but having worked so hard and made lots of funds and thinking of retirement it's actually a good idea but with the world economy downturn looking at which country that will best suit my preference, I think I don't really have one specific country that'll say is best for me to retire into but regardless I want to travel around the world and go some many places and get the best moments ever that's all I want if truly I'll want to retire.

Here I make economic and comfort factors as a reference. If I may choose or I really have to choose one country then I will choose countries like Iceland, Switzerland, Norway, Netherlands, Japan and Germany. Yes all my choices are European countries, except Japan. I think when it's time to retire then all I'm looking for is peace and quiet. Spending time with my closest people and family in a country that has a good governance system and people with good ethics is my dream and maybe everyone's dream. I'm not interested in countries that offer luxury or countries that have the best technological developments in the future. I think when I get old, nature is the best place to enjoy life.

yeah.. actually every country is facing ups and down or moreover financial crisis and that is enough reason to make a good decision that will not affect us. for me i will like to travel round the world and see the finest things of life and retire in my country. there is nothing so good like retiring in your mother land. like me as am African i will like to retire in my country Nigeria or any other African country because these African countries leave a tax free life on like other European country that pay tax in almost everything you do. so retiring in such country that pays tax in everything will definitely affect a person who is not financially buoyant, except you know you financial strength.

To be totally frank, I haven't put a ton of thought into where I wanna retire yet.  But if I let my mind wander a bit, I'd probably say sticking around Croatia would be pretty nice.  There's just something charming about living here - the slower pace of life in some spots, the beautiful coastline and gorgeous beaches, the generally good weather... And I appreciate the sense of community here. Also, being close to family and friends is important to me. I can picture spending my later years here.  Might not be the most exotic pick, but it's familiar, it's beautiful, and it feels like home.

I have a desire to retire in my country and in the place where my feet first set foot. The most difficult thing to forget is the history engraved in my hometown, to spend my old age without financial problems, I started investing in buying plantation land, the plan was inspired by my neighbor who was looking for money in Norway, he now lives in his homeland and enjoys a decent life from the results of his hard work while he was still productive.

I agree with your view because we should work hard when we are young so that when we enter old age we can live much more peacefully by resting our soul and body. Life in old age will be much more difficult when we are not well prepared in our youth and much easier when we spend our old age in our hometown. We can enjoy a much more peaceful life in our hometown by following the customs and traditions there.

I never imagined that entering old age I would live in a new environment or in another country because it would be much harder for us to adapt. Whether we realize it or not, in old age we are no longer productive so what is needed is peace of mind and body in facing the rest of our lives.

I don't think or want to enjoy retirement in another country, my country is the best for me even though the crime rate and economy are quite difficult and the government is also corrupt, I still don't want to leave my birthplace where there are still many mountains, forests and seas, honestly I live in the countryside now and that's the reason why I want to retire here. Ignoring the possible costs? Idk, Australia, Canada or Japan personally. Australia my sis lives there and has been pretty positive about what her life has been so far in the last 8 years, so really considering it. Japan and Canada are just a personal choice, just really like them. Might change my mind once I visit them next year or so but for now, they're on the list.

Considering the costs, thoug,h and my annual income I'd probably just go to Japan and choose somewhere barren to live. I've read some stories where they don't really treat you like a neighbor when you're a foreigner, more often like a visitor instead so I'd just much rather live alone and as little social interaction. Personally prefer it as well anyway.

In my opinion and based on my experience so far, my country is the best place for me, despite that the economic situation here is harsh too but there's no country that will be better than my country. I am still building and growing my wealth, if Before I get to 55 I have archived all my financial goals and have made so much money as I desired, I will just travel around to a few countries and then back to my country. I have relatives abroad who says they will return back to our country after they have retired, I believe they do have reasons for such decision.

Retirement is a very important time and something that someone should really think about and personally for me I do not think it is the country that will make retirement good but the people around me, hence I would like to retire in any country as long as I have my family and my friends around. I think what is very important for retirement is the plans we've made before time and if you're an individual that has planned properly for your retirement time you must have considered the economy and have made plans towards it setting up investments that would sustain you in this time. To really stay happy personally for me I like to spend the remaining time I have with family and friends not traveling to a distant country where I become a stranger and start to experience life afresh.
