I believe those people who gamble even when they are broke are gambling addicts. This type of person doesn’t even care about what will happen next, they might use their last money to gamble. In fact, this set of people is so addicted that they will go to the extent of borrowing money to gamble and can even sell their valuable properties to continue gambling.

What is happening nowadays is that broke people are gambling more, often because of the false hope they are given by others. For example, you might see stories online about someone using their last bit of money to place a bet and winning a significant amount. Easier said that done, I have this thoughts that most of the people that are gambling might be in the borderline and they see gambling as the only way to get out of their situation. They try many shortcuts to get over it, but due to these wrong choices, they suffer. Here, a person has two options, whether to use that broken energy and emotions to work hard and earn a lot of money, or to go with a strategic mind into gambling and start betting. In the first case they will carefully take every step, because they don't want to lose things anymore, while in the second case, they only focused to get rich as possible. I will basically say here that a person has to keep a few things in mind for gambling such as-

- His mental state.
- He is an adult and not of an age where he can make wrong decisions (OLD ages)
- Spend as much as they can afford to lose.
- Set a limit on win & loss amounts.

There's was an old thread where a member wanted to double the money he wanted to use for medical treatment but because the money was not going to be enough, he wanted to use the one he has to gamble, so he can double it but I think they advise of members discouraged him. There are some situations that one is not supposed to gamble, when they are broke, when they want to double the money they intended to use for something important and when they think they can win the house.
