I feel that Italian teams have a great chance of being eliminated and everyone will feel that the quality of play of Serie A clubs is below par. I wonder if anyone can explain why this is happening to all Italian teams in the UCL?
Juventus and Atalanta defeats were normal as their opponents were almost equal, but Inter loss to Bodø/Glimt was a hot topic of discussion and now Inter were considered the weakest team in the UCL.

I will not even see the quality of Serie A clubs as below standard even if Italian teams are eliminated in the playoffs because things we do not expect happens in football sometimes. I cannot explain why the 3 Italian teams lost their matches in the first leg of the playoffs and i do not even think if there is anyone who can explain what is really happening to all Italian teams in the champions league this season. I will not consider Inter Milan as the weakest team in the champions league yet; i will consider Inter Milan as the weakest team in the champions league if they fail to qualify for the champions league round of 16.

ATH had some good reinforcements in their attacking, I least expected the game to end in a draw too, however they have more advantage at home and it is a better performance sharing points from away instead of recording a lost, hope they would set things right with the return leg.

Real Madrid had a very good game against Benfica amidst the chaos that erupted that very day and ended up with a win, however, Mourinho is not a coach to be taken for granted and he would be drilling his boys for a proper return match at the Bernabeu, Arbeloa shouldn't sleep on this one since the difference is only a single goal, anything can end up happening.

A draw in the away match is not a bad result. But Atletico Madrid had a chance to win the match. They were able to take a 2-0 lead in the first half. However, they could not perform well in the second half.

The second leg match is Atletico Madrid's home match. Undoubtedly, Atletico Madrid will be the favorite in this match. However, the road to victory against Club Brugge will be a little slower. This team is not weak, they won their first match. It was not easy to finish the match 3-3 after being behind 2-0. So Atletico will have to play very carefully. I could be mistaken, and of course there are many other factors that have made a team like Inter Milan appear to struggle greatly against a mediocre side such as Bodo/Glimt.

Juventus defeat to Galatasaray may not be particularly surprising, considering their current form in Serie A has not been very convincing, while the Turkish side also possesses fairly good squad depth. The same applies to Atalanta loss, it is clear that Dortmund are a more experienced team in the Champions League.

If there is a club I am actually not trusting to win a game this season then it is this Atletico de Madrid most especially if the game is against a side which you think is an underdog. Atletico can go from beating a league and humiliating then in weekend and then go on to lose to a relegation threatened club in the mid week games. Yes many will say they are playing at home but look at the statistics not from this season alone but also from last season. This Atletico Madrid have not actually used their home advantage well since moving to the new stadium.

Now against a rejuvenated club Brugge side which are looking like they have found their rhythm since they were on cause to qualify for the play offs I think Simeone and his boys will be doing more than just what they have been doing in the past few weeks to actually knock them out because this tie is actually one which I see and underdog going forward

I'd disagree as you can look into other results that Bodo/Glimt has achieved and don't be surprised, Manchester City got beaten 3-1 same way like Inter Milan. A lack of experience for the managers doesn't make too much sense because when Pep Guardiola can lose against Bodo/Glimt, I don't know why Spalletti shouldn't lose against Galatasaray. You have to look into the details and the Dortmund win was anticipated by many because is strong at home, but they did not play as well as many thought they would. They only got 2 big chances and scored both of them. Let us wait and see how they play in Atalanta.

Juventus got a red card and that makes it difficult against almost any team and especially when you play against Galatasaray in Turkey. There is still a second leg and Inter Milan can beat Bodo/Glimt with 2 goals difference, Atalanta can do that and Juventus Turin has the hardest problem to solve.

If the return leg were not to be played at the Bernabeu, then I could have comfortably said that the mourinho's boys has got a chance but with what I see Madrid doing in recent times, and hosting the game, it will be a really tough one for Mourinho and his team because Madrid will not want to be embarrassed at home and this is champions league where they are known for their prowess, it does not promise to be an easy one but I do not think either of the teams will have an easy win for whoever gets to win in the end.
