I can't believe that Real Madrid is winning Manchester City by 3:0 in the first half because the bookies gave them bigger odds simply because Mbappe is not featured due to injury.

I noticed that Valverde's first Real Madrid goal shouldn't have happened because Donnarumma seemed to let the ball pass to Valverde before the Real Madrid captain fired the ball into the empty Manchester City goal after Donnarumma had gone off.

Valverde would be the man of the match with a hat trick in 45 minutes.

Valverde first goal was class. He got the better in the 1v1 against Donnarumma and placed the ball well to give them the lead, also Thibaut Courtois was remarkable, finding him from that spot.

The draw in this match means Barcelona have no losses. They had a lucky break in the final minutes to equalize, and that really makes me think Barcelona were truly fortunate with that goal.
This opportunity allows Barcelona to pursue a win in the second leg, which could be used as capital for them to advance to the next round. I think they can dominate the match at home with a much better goal output than yesterday's away match.

I honestly thought at first that Barca were going to lose but thanks to the last minute penalty and a calm and composed finish by lamine making it a Draw. This game tells us the quality of Premier league where a league leader struggles against a 12th team of another league. Yes, everyone thought the same thing about that match: it might end in a draw if the game had reached 90+ minutes, but it didn't. A lucky break can happen at any time, and Barcelona got it yesterday due to a foul that resulted in a penalty kick. Otherwise, there might not have been another goal.
Real Madrid played well tonight, and they could have secured a 3-0 victory. They capitalized on every opportunity they had in the first half, even though many of their chances didn't translate into goals. But I felt they welcomed the match at the Bernabeu well.

At the moment even when the time has shown crucial time Galatasaray is still very comfortable with their confidence where open play is still carried out without the slightest concern to try to be more defensive.

Too much hype on Manchester City who isn't in their best form to the Legend of UCL. I have always said it in my previous post that City isn't better than Real Madrid because they haven't played. After Bodø/Glimt won Manchester City, Athletico Madrid in the group stage, and won Inter Milan home and away in the playoffs round, we became aware of the good performance of Bodø/Glimt and what they are capable of doing to big teams in the Champions League, so seeing them winning Sporting CP isn't wonders because they are big threat in the Champions League, and they can knockout Sporting CP if they win the match with 2-0.

It's funny to see the EPL struggle after they claim to be the apex predators in the world of football, now they taking L's and draws from farmers leagues, from the despicable performance from Tottenham to City's whopping against Real Madrid who lost against Osasuna and Getafe in the farmers league and a team overall viewed as out of form, trashing Man City a tittle contender  in the Great EPL. It's still looking funny, I don't know about the second leg of the fixtures but an excellent game for Madrid.

I cannot believe the nonsense I watched, Manchester City playing 3-0 down despite the challenges Real Madrid is facing with their players in injury. Honestly I feel disappointed with Manchester City performance in this match, If they can't win this squad I don't think they will have any chance to qualify again. As the match is going I have already lost hope for Manchester City. Real Madrid is playing a very good game, and they deserve three points in this match they are stronger than Manchester City in this match.

What surprised me even more was that Real mdrid seemed to have accidentally found their best lineup with the players currently available. Who would have thought that even Valverde could score a hat trick against a tough opponent like Manchester City? Manchester City still looked like they were playing as usual. however, I think they seemed to have lost their usual composure. they were probably also surprised because in the first half, at the 20th and 27th minutes they conceded goals quickly. Real madrid will no longer be underestimated after this result, even though their squad is not in its best condition due to numerous injuries. Arbeloa can now be proud of the lineup and strategy used in this match.

I thought that Arsenal wi find it easy to open the scoreline but from the look of things, it's like it's gon be a difficult match for Arsenal because Leverkusen defense is composed. I’m just sitting here watching a boring game from Arsenal, I don’t really understand what this Arsenal team are playing, Bayern Leverkusen are looking more like a better team in this game, and it’s very annoying that Arsenal aren’t playing an entertaining football, first half have ended and it’s goalless between both sides, sometimes I’m sick and tired of watching Arsenal’s game because it’s always going to be boring as usual, this isn’t a Premier League game, I don’t really understand why Arsenal aren’t taking their opportunities seriously in this game, it just looks like a dead game and it’s lackluster performance in the First half of the game, Arsenal should be winning this game comfortably, and I think Arsenal are waiting for Corner kick so they can have an opportunity to score goals.

Leverkusen has broken the deadlock in the first minute of the second half and the scoreline is 1-0. The goal was a header from Andrich to put his club ahead of their visitors. This has shown Arsenal that Leverkusen isn't here to play but to see how they can win their matches and advance to the next round. Arsenal will beon pressure right now.

This match is very tough for Arsenal which so many people don't expect it to be so, at least arsenal did very well by sharing the point, i think Arsenal have more hope in this match, because I don't think they will allow themselves to be humiliated by the Leverkusen at Emirates stadium.

Leverkusen players and supporters will feel some dissapointment failing to keep the advantage of the goal as they head to the second leg in England. They will also feel some joy that they have not lost to Arsenal, a team that has had a flawless record in this Champions league competition so far. For Manchester City being three goals down, their best chance in the game now is to try reduce the deficit and score some goals, so it will be less work when they play Real Madrid again in the second leg next week.

I was taking their progress in the champions League up to this point as been luck but watching them play a good side like Sporting and scoring three goals is not luck but is a sign that the team is a good team and should not be taken as a small side anymore.

Like I mentioned previous time, both teams are in same level if not almost Manchester City was on the safer side and I will not blame anyone who predicted in their favor. One thing we fail to understand is Real Madrid being independent with or without any player for example if the situation was reversed I doubt if Manchester City can win without top players yet Real Madrid managed to beat city, I’m impressed and definitely with the goal difference they just need more effort to push during the second leg.

Real Madrid almost scored their 4th goal in the 58th minute but unfortunately Vinicius Junior failed to execute it. Basically, if Madrid scores one more goal then as I said before Manchester City's journey ends today in the Champions League  Things might have been different if Man City had only lost by 2 goals in this first leg this means that in the second leg they can catch up or at least equalize the aggregate. In another match, Chelsea managed to equalize the score to 2-2 but PSG doesn't want to miss the opportunity to play at home and they scored 2 more goals so the final score was 4-2.

It was since yesterday I started noticing that, what is wrong with all the English team that qualify to this round, their performance is not encouraging at all, it is only Arsenal and Newcastle United that perform excellent among others, and both Newcastle United and Arsenal that did very well also draw.

At this level of performance of the English team i don't expect them to face any humiliation against the Spanish team because as it stand already the English team are performing better far better than the Spanish team in their various league, when it comes to Champions League they play as if they just got to this round by mistake.

Real Madrid always shows that they’re not a team to be looked down on when it comes to the champions league competition, even if their form in the domestic league is not encouraging, they’re always going to come out and play better in the champions league amongst all other competitions.

Many people looked down on Real Madrid because of their condition of players who are out injured, plenty of them but just look out they won the game from the first half of the game, they dominated Manchester City and scored three good goals before the end of the first half.

Manchester City will have little or no hope when they play in the Etihad stadium in the second leg, we shall get to see how the match will turn out to be. But the win going to Real Madrid tonight was a well deserved one for them for their great performance in the game tonight.
