I highly doubt Newcastle will be a problem for Barcelona. While I understand that the first game did not ended as well as they hoped for, yes that is true, and I understand things aren't looking as great as they hoped. But that doesn't mean that we are going to see this becoming the norm, we are going to see things change one way or another and we just have to face that fact.

So as much as we try to make this work, we can't really think that Newcastle would have any chance on the second game.

Hansi Flick must have learned from yesterday's first leg and knows Newcastle United's weaknesses. I also think Barcelona won't lose at Camp Nou. It's their home ground, and that's where they'll be playing against Newcastle United on the 19th.
If they don't learn from yesterday's match, it will be very disappointing.

I was almost scared for Barcelona after witnessing how the Newcastle side tackled Barcelona in the game. At first when the game started I thought it was going to be a straight win from the side of the Barcelona considering the poor performance of the Newcastle United at the league level and the great performance from Barcelona at the league level. But football is not something which is this easily predicted and a team might be doing bad at the domestic level but mysterious performing awesomely at the champions league level. Past the first half, I thought Barcelona were going to come back harder to make some good wins at the second half but I didn’t see much improvement from them and I can say the lucky goal scored by Yamal was as a result of the pressure from the first goal scored by the Newcastle United. If not for the benefit of the injury time, the match would have ended with Barcelona defeated.

Barcelona were actually a bit lucky Newcastle United do not have a sharp strike force. They did manage to beat the offside trap a number of times only to fumble in front of the goal. Hansi Flick should be very careful with that high-line defending of his. One day a team is going to come in well prepared to hit them 3-4 goals in just one half like Atletico Madrid did to them.

Okay, why not we just wait for the leg 2 of 2 and see the plenty of goals that Newcastle can score at Camp Nou to secure the next spot for themselves? Well, I'll take this for a joke. Beating the offside trap is one thing, using it to your advantage like you said is on another level. The tackle that resulted in that penalty for Barcelona would have actually leaded to a goal, which would still keep it leveled anyway. I just hope Flick can learn from his flaws and build a tougher defensive line.

Premier League fans are once again faced with reality. Of course, we'll have to see how the return legs go, but 2 points out of 15   And if we recalculate these "successes" into cost/benefit indicators, then I think the Premier League will be at the very bottom.
Personally, I was again infuriated that Real was rated like some Sevilla or Sociedad (the odds were almost 4 for their victory), but in the end, those who underestimate Real every year (specifically in this pair) were punished again.

I don't understand what they were expecting, just because the PL is pouring money like mad in it doesn't mean a thing...
I admit they had a great run from 2020 to 2202 but since then?
-2023 2 teams in the quarters, none passing
-2024 2 teams in the quarters, one to the semi-final..
Last year they had the inner and the 3rd placed team in the league table, didn't help them too much...

Don't get me wrong, I expect a few of them to qualify, but as you said it's not like the PL is a different league!

Bodø Glimt defeated Sporting CP 3–0 at home last night. This victory is very important for Bodø Glimt because it is a huge step toward the quarter final.
If they avoid defeat next week, they will reach the quarter final for the first time in their history.
I believe they will make it to the quarter final because they are playing well and have the quality to beat Sporting.

Bodø surprised me again. First, they threw Inter off their stride, and now it looks like they might do the same with Sporting. Both Inter and Sporting were considered leaders in their domestic leagues, while almost no one paid attention to Bodø in the Bundesliga till recent time. I wonder what the real reason is behind their current success in UEFA Champions League. Their squad doesn’t seem to have any top-tier players.

Bodo are going to surprise us this season in the champions league, whoever is coaching this team is doing a great job. Still In the champions league they have won Manchester city and inter, two teams that would have eliminated them easily. I'm looking forward to seeing how far they can go this season.
