I'm glad that Bodo Glimt won 3-0 against Sporting Lisbon.
This makes my Inter's exit from the Champions League, which was eliminated by Bodo Glimt, less bitter.
If Sporting manages to overturn the result, it will be a great achievement, but I think it will be very difficult. Do you think Bodo Glimt is the new fairy tale of the Champions League?

whether you say because Bodo won your team inter Milan and so there winning against sporting is justifiable or not . The fact is that inter Milan were very poor in the champions League this year because, I can't imagine inter Milan losing out on the playoffs stages of the champions League and not even to a top side but to a team like Bodo Blink with all due respect to Bodo Blink as a club. The performance were very poor and that should be noted.



But credit must be given to Bodo Blink for the way that, they have been able to get to this level of the champions League. They deserves it because, this can only happen as a result of hardwork and dedication.

I highly doubt Newcastle will be a problem for Barcelona. While I understand that the first game did not ended as well as they hoped for, yes that is true, and I understand things aren't looking as great as they hoped. But that doesn't mean that we are going to see this becoming the norm, we are going to see things change one way or another and we just have to face that fact.

So as much as we try to make this work, we can't really think that Newcastle would have any chance on the second game.

Hansi Flick must have learned from yesterday's first leg and knows Newcastle United's weaknesses. I also think Barcelona won't lose at Camp Nou. It's their home ground, and that's where they'll be playing against Newcastle United on the 19th.

Two day before now I wrote in favour of Manchester city winning Real madrid for the reason that Real madrid will not be playing with their full first eleven squad but Manchester city will. And with how shaky the Spanish team has possibly struggled with in their league many of us did not stomach it that they can cook this surprise cleansheet defeat on Manchester city.

If Valverde can manage to do the job consistently even not as close to the level of Kroos then the Real madrid club can make their midfield well-rounded going further.

I’ve always said here that even long before Mbappe joined Madrid, the team was already very strong. Madrid isn’t the type of team that relies on just one or two players, pretty much everyone in the squad can step up and play an important role in scoring and winning games. I’ve also said that as long as Vinicius is still playing for Madrid, things will be fine. His experience in the UCL with Madrid is huge and his mentality is already at a very high level.

As for Valverde, becoming someone like Kroos is definitely not easy. But he still has plenty of time and opportunities to keep learning and improving his game to get closer to that level.

For a team to win today doesn't mean they will keep winning. Afterall, best team this season may be among the worse in years after. I could remember days when Ajax played to champions final but this same team now struggle in their local league. Moreover, Chelsea isn't in their very good form and their H2H doesn't show Chelsea winning most time. So, we shouldn't have concluded in Chelsea winning PSG at home. The second leg should go in favour of Chelsea but I don't see them qualifying as the 3 goals difference is much.

Chelsea were  predicted to lose. We know Chelsea are not in good form. But did anyone think chelsea would lose 5-2 ? The first half was quite competitive. Both teams were able to perform well. Chelsea even tied the match 2 -2 at the beginning of the second half. But then the scenario started to change quickly after Kvaratskhelia came on the field. Vitinha scored a goal in the 74th minute from kvaratskhelia's assist. Kvaratskhelia's goals in the 86th and 90+ 4 minutes of the  match ensured the 5-2 lead for PSG. If chelsea had kept their defense strong in the last 10 minutes, the match would have ended 3-1 .

If the match has ended in 3-2, it will definitely give Chelsea a hope of qualifying since they are playing the next match at home. Chelsea will be facing Newcastle in the EPL by weekend, I don't see them playing very hard against Newcastle this weekend as they will surely be hoping on how they could play to win PSG on Tuesday. Even if Chelsea winning is certain but the problem isn't just winning but to play and win with 3 or more goals.

I'm glad as well, now it is time to make another win when they travel to Lisbon. I do think they can get another successful win against them come next week.
They were obviously the better side but refused to lose, they are well managed and they apply the basics of football,  they run relentlessly and make sure they defend amongst themselves. I can't say much about them, I would love to see them face Arsenal, maybe then I can take them seriously again.

Barcelona were actually a bit lucky Newcastle United do not have a sharp strike force. They did manage to beat the offside trap a number of times only to fumble in front of the goal. Hansi Flick should be very careful with that high-line defending of his. One day a team is going to come in well prepared to hit them 3-4 goals in just one half like Atletico Madrid did to them.

But Chelsea fans wouldn't accept that Chelsea isn't in a good form because they were bragging before the match that they are tje favorite to win the game just because they were lucky to win PSG on the finals of CWC due to fatigue on the players since they have been winning big clubs till the final day. Chelsea was really late in realizing that PSG is a truly strong team, and when PSG is at its best, stopping them is indeed the most difficult thing to do. and with a 5-2 aggregate defeat, I also think Chelsea will no longer have much hope of turning things around in the second leg. because if Chelsea want to qualify, they must score at least four goals against PSG without conceding a single goal. and we know that’s truly difficult and would require a miracle for Chelsea to achieve. Because PSG might even want to score more goals in the second leg, which would make them even more confident in their victory.

That mistake the Chelsea goalkeeper had, really changed the remaining part of the game, that goal broke the entire motivation the Chelsea defence had. It will be a difficult one for Chelsea to score PSG at Stanford bridge without a reply, but someone who has been a football fantastic for years, I don't want to rule out the possibility of that scenario not to happen, it has been severally in football, even against PSG, Barcelona has had such come back.

I believe most people weren’t expecting Real Madrid to win that easily yesterday. Even if you were expecting them to win, it was not by that margin and as well coming from a single person in the first half of the game. It was absolutely incredible to see Valverde put that up.

I think we can all agree on Real Madrid locking up their defense in the second leg.. All they will need is a counter-attack since Mbappe will be present as well.

Man City is favored, but it is this team that is humiliated because indeed with Real Madrid's game yesterday did not move even though Haaland could not make his action as an attack line.

Bodo is arguably the most underrated team in the champions league as we have it now. Little by little, they’ve put themselves in such great spot and position to advance through all stages of the game. I think, having yo underrate them have played out well for them because, they tend to surprise us every time. What PSG did to Chelsea was even worse than the case of Arsenal because what just happened to them, 5:2, is a lot, and the way Chelsea fans were making noise about how they were going to destroy PSG and see who got destroyed at the end of the day, I was just shocked to my greatest surprise because of how Chelsea fans were full of themselves about yesterday's game; Chelsea actually tried, but they just could not win, and Chelsea had lost even the second leg already.

And out of eight shots on target, they scored five goals. The game was interesting, and they came prepared when they were playing against Chelsea, and Chelsea has learned their lesson, especially their fans. There is no way they can come back, even in the second leg, it's automatic already that Chelsea is no longer in the picture, because how do they want to meet up? Even the second leg does not give them any chance.

I didn't check the outright UCL winner odds, but I thought that Arsenal and Manchester City would probably be about the same. This is not because I think Manchester City is stronger, but bookmakers tend to give higher chances to teams that have a strong history in the UCL. Arsenal would be a newcomer so to say, but it's a bit weird that they still put Arsenal ahead of Bayern. 1-6 is an insane result against Atalanta and Arsenal did not play well whatsoever against Bayer Leverkusen.

Real Madrid vs. Bayern would be a big event. It is not very likely that Manchester City will be able to make a comeback, although it is not impossible. What was so impressive is that Real Madrid did it without Mbappe and that Real Madrid wasn't just lucky in that match, but they had full dominance over the game and that is not very common against Manchester City.

Bodo/Glimt isn't really a weak team in this year's competition, they're very much confident in this competition and I am not surprised they eliminated Inter and went ahead to win Sporting by that margin, we can see what they did to Manchester city earlier too. I am very interested in seeing how far they go in this competition. I know they may not survive against teams like Bayern or PSG, but it would really be interesting you know how far their witts take them.

With all improvements in the world, I don't see any possibility of Chelsea getting back into the competition. 3 goals margin is no joke against a club as dominant as PSG. keeper error caused at least 2 goals in that match, so if Rosenior is using the same keeper, then we would anticipate more stupid results. That match was lost starting from the goalkeeper who isn't good at all in pass distribution, Sanchez is better than him there and I expected the coach to change that keeper in the second half, but he had confidence in him and things went out of hand.

Chelsea is out, somehow I would say same for Manchester city, buh the fact remains that Manchester city has more chances in getting back into this competition than Chelsea, they should just focus on premier league after now.

I think after game against inter Milan and the clubs remarkable performance to actually book a spot in the playoff is when most people actually started seeing them doing the most underdog stories, for me they are mostly likened to the Ajax team of 2019 and also Monaco younger generations of then actually pulled off the underdog stories by eliminating the likes of Real Madrid and similar clubs then. I think this Bodo Glimt will follow same way,

Firstly, they are not the most in-form team now, there are still obviously better teams in the competition, they're the underdogs on the competition now waxing very strong and looking fierce. Hopefully, they advance further into the competition or get eliminated when they meet stronger hands therein.

Their league being on break is rather a very good advantage to them because the players are well rested and focus solely on the champions league only as against other clubs who are still playing up to three different competitions including the champions league. Yes, their league being on break should be an added advantage to them.

The surprise of this year is Bodo. After their spectacular rise in the Europa League last year, they are making a statement in the Champions League this year as well. When you look at the players individually, they have a sub-average squad. in fact, many of them aren't even called up to their national teams. However, they play as a true TEAM in the Champions League. I wish they could go all the way to the final and complete the fairy tale, but of course, that is difficult.

It is really so unbelievable that none of the Premier League teams could win their match in this first leg. The worst performance came from Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham as they all lost their matches with a difference of 3 goals each. Tottenham lost to Atletico Madrid by 5:2, Chelsea lost to PSG by 5:2 and Manchester City lost to Real Madrid by 3:0. I'm even wondering what the fate of the teams that have the chances of qualifying for the quarter finals would be because i don't trust Liverpool and Newcastle, the only team that has possibility of moving to the next phase is Arsenal. This is a wakeup call to the Premier League teams because they produced the highest number in this Champions League season, 6 teams in that matter.

It's shameful to see the English teams that dominated the Champions League during the group stage couldn't win their match in the first leg of the round of 16.  Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Liverpool have a chance to make it to the next stage of the Champions League, but since Chelsea, Manchester City, and  Tottenham Hotspur lost by three goals difference they will be officially knockout from the Champions League in the second leg of the round of 16. It will be difficult for some Premier League teams to wake-up because the damage on them is too much.

PSG against Chelsea was really a shock, understanding the match from my perspective it seems difficult or Chelsea don’t have what it takes to defend? Like the goals was very much and honestly speaking Chelsea can’t stay in the title race with just 2 goals below and the opponent 5 goals ahead. PSG should also not stay relaxed because refusing to play well can as well fall down the whole hard work.

Frankly I don't understand why so many users are surprised by this win by PSG over Chelsea. Maybe you're still thinking about last summer when Chelsea won the Club World Cup against PSG? Personally, I never believed in that result. Chelsea surely deserved to win the competition but let's not forget that in was played in between two seasons and I feel like many clubs weren't too interested in this competition. PSG are clearly superior to Chelsea.
