I don't know how many times Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will have played each other this season.    Because they are going face-to-face like everywhere including the CL!

As for my opinion, I don't expect a surprising outcome this time like in the Copa del Rey. Barcelona should be able to qualify for semi finals. The odds to qualify are like 1.34 vs 3.00 now.

I don't believe in odds because we have seen many times that the bookies odd went against them. If Atletico Madrid knows Barcelona weak point, they can take advantage of that and win the game because Atletico isn't scared of them since they're major rivals this season.

However, Barcelona wouldn't want what happened in Cop del Rey o repeat itself which will make them take this match very personal.

I think that if Liverpool draw the first game they should be very happy, but personally I will bet on PSG (bookmakers offer favorable odds). lol, Atletico should be the tired one but it will be known by Next week after their clash in Laliga. There’s possibility Barca lose any of these matches but I’m sure they don’t want to do anything that will reduce both chance of winning Laliga and UCL. 
 
Only one of the 3 matches where they will be facing each other  comes with Barca being at home and that’s CL first leg so it will really test their ability to win outside camp nou  this time around.

Atletico Madrid has always been a threat to Barcelona because they know Barcelona's weaknesses which they can exploit especially when they attack. Barcelona defenders are often slow allowing Atletico Madrid to exploit this. This is what happened in the Copa del Rey semi-final. Although Barcelona won the second leg their mistakes in the first leg prevented them from advancing.

It will be interesting to see Simeone strategy against Barcelona in UCL. Simeone is typically adept at strategizing surprising us with the final result. Furthermore, before the first leg of UCL the two teams must first meet in the domestic league which will be played at Atletico home ground. I'm sure Diego Simeone will employ a standard strategy in La Liga to prevent his opponents from reading his strategy, but Simeone will do everything he can to steal points in the first leg of UCL. Because he understands that he can beat Barcelona in the first leg when Barcelona underestimated Atletico Madrid.

i don't know why people are so confident. Like i said, these are UCL matches and every game is tough in its own way. I also think, like you mentioned, league form really can’t be compared to games like this. Just to be clear, i'm not a fan of either team, i'd just like to watch two strong, high quality matches

Same thing I thought, people are so confident like they are unbeatable they fail to understand that this is the champions league where you expect different performance from teams no matter how badly their form is so nothing is guaranteed yet until the game is played. We all saw how Manchester City were the favorites against struggling Real Madrid but they ended up losing to Real Madrid in a disgraceful manner. In matches like this where big teams face each other anything is likely to happen and form in their respective leagues don't matter much.

In theory of course every team could be defeated, nobody can say that no team is above that, we may see every single team losing, it is not impossible. But at the same time, we have to approach this realistically, we can't just assume the best or whatever for these situations.

We have to realize that it is not that easy to make this work, so we have to make sure that it can be done in a way that works. PSG is the better team and we should see it do a lot better, it can't be changed from that and has to be something we accept. Liverpool is not even close.

Many people are of the opinion that Arsenal has the easiest fixture of the quarter finals in the Uefa Champions League but believe me it is not as easy as you think,

Sporting happens to be one of the most tedious team to face in this phase of the competition, Sporting CP is a very young team as well as Arsenal, they are tactical and they have some experience against English sides too,

If Arsenal could successfully go through this phase then they are as good as making it all the way to the finals.

Saying Arsenal has the easiest fixture honestly is not as true as they may be thinking it to be, Sporting has not been a weak side in this champions league, they have been preforming so well and you cannot just underestimate them just like that, you may want to say Arsenal have the advantage of having their one time striker, but you cannot say that it will be an easy one for the team as they may give Arsenal some tough time but Arsenal may win by a slim margin and not just some easy win.

There are fans that uses the popularity of a club's name to judge against a club that is not popular against them meeting in a match without taking cognisance of the present forms of both clubs.

Sporting has roughly made it to this quarter finals phase and with each match won that is how their confidence increases towards playing against any team and Arsenal is no different from those teams Sporting has won, that is what makes this fixture not  to be any easy one for the gunners but there are fans who do not know.

This is another fixture that will be very difficult to predict, Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich, these 2 games to me will be difficult to predict. Bayern Munich is in a better form than. Real Madrid no doubt but the resilience of Real Madrid in this competition is something else that. I one can explain and again Real Madrid in head to head edges Bayern Munich overall, in my humble opinion, I don't really know who would go through. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, of course Barcelona is the better side but in recent years, Atletico Madrid has been able to Knock off Barcelona in knockout rounds, Barcelona is the favourite but I cannot over rule the possibility of Atletico Madrid pulling up a surprise.

Arteta should focus on league, nothing else, but also they face a simple team ,so they can go to semi finals easily by the looks of it . Can't say what they are going to do, we can't really sit and see how things are changing, because Arsenal being in UCL is very good for them. Could they win* Maybe, maybe not, but they can't give up, just to focus on the few games left in the league.

They are capable of playing like 10 games that is left, few at UCL and few at league that's it. I know that they are tired, who wouldn't be, just because they are getting paid this much, doesn't mean they are robots, but for 10 to 14 games or so, they just have to grind and they could be doing a lot better on the long run with two titles instead of one.

They have already met 3 times this season in the first meeting of La Liga and 2 Copa del Rey legs, currently they will again meet in 3 other matches in the Champions League and the 2nd meeting of La Liga.
Conditionally Barcelona are still ahead 2 wins and 1 draw but in the 3 matches that have happened we always see how they fight to the end even always with a score that is even more than 3 which makes this interesting.

So looking at the odds now it seems quite reasonable but at the moment I expect more from Atletico because they should have learned from the games they played. This will indeed be very difficult especially with fatigue conditions in a busy schedule so that this will make the situation unpredictable. It's just that compared to betting 1x2 I want to find interesting odds in over 3 or over 4 because these odds are more interesting for me.

I don't even see Athletico Madrid as a threat anymore, this Barcelona last game against them really opened or added knowledge on the Pre-existing opinion I had about them, that Barcelona 4-0 lose to Athletico Madrid was an anomaly and is something that am sure won't necessarily happen again because of how fortified Barcelona has been in curbing there defensive issues

katanic97 is absolutely right, these are the quarterfinals in the UCL. It is not like PSG can't be beaten. I think Hardyrobust forgot how PSG got to the round of 16. Monaco had a red card in both matches and it was so close that they tie the series. In the first match Monaco played one halftime with one player less and in the second match it was about 35 minutes and yet PSG couldn't achieve a clean result. 

Playing Liverpool at home in Anfield is much different from playing Monaco at home. The form in the league won't matter too much because these are the matches every single player is looking forward to and these are the matches when they can suddenly bring on their best play. It will be close and I will remind you of a "great win". You probably mean they will win easily.

Real humiliated them already in the first leg, City looked helpless like they couldn't wait for the game to end. And on top of that, in the second leg Silva got a red card and left Man City hanging. So yeah, that's pretty much it , every UCL game is a story on its own. And honestly, i think people saying it’s gonna be an easy game for PSG are really mistaken, because like i said, UCL matches have a completely different intensity

Atletico Madrid will do the best they can do here because indeed the champions league is the hope for them to be able to get the trophy this season, but if you think about the opponent is quite heavy, namely Barcelona who are at the top of their own domestic league standings, this season is not so good against it but that does not mean they cannot do it, it will be an exciting match because it is fighting for who can stay in the champions league and who is sent home.
Both teams are also serious about keeping themselves in the champions league and reaching the semi-finals as one of their targets, but we don't know how it will turn out if we look at these two teams because if we talk about the probability of victory, both can beat each other and that's what makes me say it's better not to bet and just watch.

I'm not considering Liverpool advancing further than the quarter final, PSG will be their final stop.

Atletico Madrid is a headache to Barcelona but do you think they win Barcelona of the now in the Champions League? You watch their last match with Real Madrid and you saw what happened right? They had everything, opportunity to win that match by keeping up with more goals but somehow Real Madrid was able to have a penalty and later add 2 goals after. They are good but their defense is bad, unless they keep that space close before then.

There is always this beef between Atletico and Barcelona considering they are the top 3 teams in the Laliga, one has to go for sure and if it must be, Barcelona will do anything to take the lead, they are the one likely to win the Laliga league, it will not make sense if they later lose to Atletico when it can be a double blessing and if they add the that to Del Rey trophy, that makes it 3 trophy in a season, I'm sure that will win them many award after the season.

If PSG players can perform the same  they did against Chelsea , then i am sure that they will win against liverpool too. And they will definitely qualify for the semi-finals. Liverpool has a lot of talented players in their squad. But the  problem is that liverpool's performance is still very  inconsistent. And Liverpool's defense  breaks down very quickly against a strong attack. Every player in PSG's attack is in good  form now. That is why they have won both matches against chelsea by 3 goals margin. PSG is  undoubtedly the favorite in this match to qualify for the  semi-finals.

Liverpool's performance has dropped from last season, so it can be said that it will be difficult for Liverpool to be able to face PSG in this first leg match, especially if PSG is able to play like they did against Chelsea, I think that maybe PSG will be able to collect more goals in this first leg. Even though Liverpool will make a strategy to withstand attacks from PSG, they don't have defenders who are strong enough at the moment, so that can make PSG dominate possession of the ball and be able to beat Liverpool's game. So PSG can most likely win this first leg.

Barcelona ought to be the qualifying team but the fact that Raphinha won't be available and the first game will be at Camp Nou is something to consider. I feel like if ATM might be able to stand their ground away then they stand more chance of qualifying.
