Yeah you are right I won't also say is because of arrogance that was why real Madrid didn't perform very well last season however for me real Madrid didn't do that bad last year just because they didn't lift any trophy those not mean they didn't do there best last year they came out second in the la Liga competition and also went far in last season champions League competition so they tried there best, Agbe I will agree with you that is because some of there players had injury that was why they where unable to perform very well last season.

Yes, you are right. The main reason for the failure last season was the injuries of the players of the Madrid team. Pride and selfishness among the players were not a big problem and that was not the main reason for their failure. Although this problem is present among them, it is not the main reason. Their bench and the bottom line were not strong at all and Ancelotti did not have enough players to change the strategy or succeed in the plan, which is why they had to play with a weak defense. Still, they were better than some other teams and were stronger, but that was not enough to win the title. The team performance will make Real Madrid even stronger.

What you are saying is true. When a team is over loaded or stack with quality players it doesn't help the team in terms of building a strong team.Real Madrid is an epitome of this , when they added Mbappe, so many people think that the team performance is going to improve more especially their attack but the reverse was the case. Saw a lot of  signings rescently which show they really mean business especially with the defence  ( I heard they are still trying to bring in more defenders) maybe it could be different this time around. They have Ekitike as welll although I haven’t been watching his game recently, the last time I did was when he was still at PSG . I knew he’s talented then  just that he didn’t get enough playing time.. atleast, someone who understands PSG system, could come in handy if they meet again (makes more sense just like Chelsea tactic)

I seriously agree with you and that people need to actually start differentiating the difference between stacking of players and not performing to the stands with one position of the team stacked with top players while the other positions are actually lacking quality, let me give example of clubs or teams that many top players yet they flourished, one is the 2007 or earlier Manchester United team which was stacked but they played, 2008 or 2009 Barcelona team which had the whole team stacked with top players, the list goes on to the Real Madrid period of BBC, Barcelona’s MSN or even Manchester city dominating the premier league then.

We can also say Liverpool of Firmino, Mane and Salah is better than this current attacking line and they wasn’t any problem because the team was balanced. What we see with the likes of PSG having problem during Messi Neymar Mbappe era was because aside from the attacking prowess the remain positions in the squad were not good enough most especially the midfield which is the main problem this Real Madrid team too have, plus they don’t have a reliable defense too.

I think everyone saw the game last season when Liverpool faced PSG and it was not conceivable that after those two games PSG would be the team to go to the next round. It was worse than normal expectations could have hit because the real shock was that Liverpool won the first leg and after that I think almost nobody would have thought that the Champions League will continue in any way for PSG. Yet they made it and Liverpool was in great shape, they meant business the whole season until then and were unstoppable.

You can see that it is not the one player and not the name by name highest quality squad, but the team effort that kept PSG going last season and against all odds they were the ones beating the biggest favorite, which up until then was Liverpool.

Isn't this the same PSG that met Chelsea and got dominated in all areas of the field at the FIFA club world cup. A more sound club would had given PSG a tough fight and not a simple win that Inter Milan gave to PSG. Hopefully next season we'll get to watch a more deserving finals than what we watched in the last season. I thought Liverpool could go all the way and get to the finals. I don't think it's about the past performance, if not Paris Saint Germain team would have not won the UEFA champion League title, there are teams that performed well more than Paris Saint Germain players in the last two seasons but they surprised people to qualified for final and won the title to make their fans happy, I think football matches is about preparation which is what we saw in that last competition, but let us think how this season will look like because different teams are busy signing new players to challenge some teams that eliminated them from the last UEFA champion League,  any teams that will prepare well in this summer season will be among the teams that will qualify for final to surprise their fans next season.
