I don't see how Arsenal will lose this game, the game is quite balanced and a little bit towards Arsenal winning. Athletic Bilbao have started to defend and very soon fatigue will set in.
It would be very tight to the end of the match but I have a good feeling that Arsenal may run home with this victory maybe by a single goal.

Finally, Martinelli has broken the deadlock for Arsenal on the 72nd minutes of the game with a clinical finish after he got an assit from Trossad. The substitute really made a difference in the match for Arsenal and they have made Bilbao to look frustrated. I know that what Arsenal needs to find the back of the poat ia juat that right chance which they were able to create.

Everything is going against me right now.    Probably most people too though. PSV are losing to USG 2-0 home shockingly. Arsenal still couldn't score but they are more likely to win compared to PSV at least.

But man, what happened to PSV? As you can remember they had a really good run in the Champions League last season with 14 points in league phase.

I've been watching Arsenal vs Bilbao for 70 minutes, and finally Martinelli scored for his club. Arsenal leads one nil. Yeah Martinelli scored, but his finishing is bad. Other than that, it's quite depressing to watch their gameplay in this game.
It's also not usual to see how Arsenal played defense and always doing long ball when they got it from Bilbao. The good thing Martinelli was there and doin something. i see him as someone who who care enough to create differentiate in his club.

There are still 25 minutes remaining for the game, and i belive they will be putting entire players into their 18 yard.

I'm also very intrigued by the Juventus vs. Borussia Dortmund match, that's actually a great classic as a draw, we've certainly seen little of it lately, but I have to say that I'm very interested to see how Juventus will behave after the victory against Inter.

Dortmund will have a hard time in Torino. Juventus has a momentum and Dortmund, while playing ok, has only beaten middle class teams this season up until now. Yesterday I got a free bet somewhere and still bet on 4:1 odds on Dortmund though, haha. I hope they can maybe get a first goal, by nobody else but Guirassy of course, yet if they can manage to get at least 1 point from this match I somehow doubt. My mind says very low chance but my heart says let's go BVB!!

Tomorrow we will look back at very interesting competition and certainly very competitive. But from most matches somehow I am a little more focused and curious about the Munich and Chelsea matches. Chelsea who are always praised after successfully getting rid of PSG in the CWC competition but this time facing Munich is not an easy job and the chances of Chelsea victory are very small.

This match isn’t today but tomorrow. It’s gonna be a fiercely contested battle between Chelsea and Bayern Munich, Chelsea has always had a way against big European teams that people thought would have been an easy defeat. Yes they’ve had a bad run against Bayern in the past but this current team has a way of surprising us so I’m not gonna underrate them and give Bayern the win. I think it’s gonna be a draw or possibly a win for Chelsea. Bayern might be feeling too confident that it’s Chelsea and they have a good record against them but that wouldn’t save them tomorrow night if they slack by a chance it’ll be a loss for them.

I’m just gonna enjoy the games tomorrow and this night, Arsenal is already winning tonight and I’m surprised that PSV is losing at home

I didn’t expect either sides to give much chances as, they both are an equally matched team and would play with a lot of caution and that’s what I saw them do. However, Arsenal did ensure they commit Athletic Club and once they got that 1 goal, you almost know Athletic club would be forced out and just like that, Arsenal got the chance to get a second.

PSV’s loss was something I didn’t hope to result and loosing by 3 goals at that was the hight of what they had to endure. They didn’t play so well in this game as the statistics shows. A good odd gone to waste for USG.

I actually said it that I don't see Arsenal losing this match today when the match was scoreless and I rather see Arsenal winning by a single goal.
It was very compact for both teams as Atletico Madrid played really well today but like I said fatigue set in and the lapsed on two occasions that gave arsenal the opportunity to score.

What a substitution , less than 60 seconds on the pitch and Martinelli made no mistake to put his side ahead and get that much needed win, now we see if they can hold Bilbao from responding as they have played well against inform Arsenal.

It was a remarkable match, with Athletic Bilbao playing as the home team. They consistently tried to match Arsenal's play, creating a more balanced and competitive match. New signings Gyokeres and Eze started the match, but both would eventually come off simply because neither was an asset for Arsenal. They fought hard to avoid defeat against Arsenal on their home turf, but they couldn't hold on in the second half. Athletic club has a problem which they need to resolve if they plan going far in their campaign which is their captain. I don't know if it's only about me but I can't clearly pin point what that guy is doing up front. He's not clinical in his finish and misses chances unnecessarily. Athletic club needs a sharper striker to make a good impact.

For me Arsenal is more in form than Athletic club, ATH only advantage being that they're home, they're not matched at all. Arsenal had everything they needed to win that match.

Athletico is a standard of a deteriorating club in the champions league that despite their attendance in the champions league they don't elevate their game.

Congratulations to Arsenal on their first game win from the two goals by the super-sub Martinelli and, Trossard.  Great control there from Martinelli opening goal.

They must have expected to get three points from this match, but they couldn't make a difference. The Belgian team played brilliantly, giving everything they had. Honestly, I initially thought Athletic Bilbao, playing as the home team, would put up a better fight, perhaps even defeat Arsenal. But the reality was different; Bilbao were humiliated on their own turf. This result demonstrates Arsenal's solid play and proves that Arteta's tactical decisions can be the key to victory.

That's the ups and downs that comes with certain matches and this match is definitely one of it. On a good day, PSV was supposed to win but this is one of the matches that makes us say, anything can happen in football and it has happened. Union St.Gilloise were not the better team in terms of play but they were the better team in terms of converting chances.

Arteta is indeed a tactician, look how the game changed in the second half after he substituted Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi  Eze, and their both replacement gave Arsenal the win tonight. After the first half, Arteta was able to figure out the problem and took necessary decision that led to the win, it is commendable of him and it is also a good morale for Arsenal to start the Champions League games by winning their first match. Arsenal's defense is really so strong this season, after 5 games (4 premier league games and 1 champions league game) they only conceded 1 goal and scored 11 goals which is an average of 2 goals per match. Now they will be facing Manchester City on Sunday with full confidence since they were victorious in their Champions League match against Bilbao, they will extend same energy to Manchester City even though it won't be an easy match for Arsenal.

It is such an impressive start for Arsenal. And I will want them to understand that they have started yet another opportunity for them to become the champions of Europe and they have a more formidable team this season that could be able to achieve that for them.
Even if they struggled against a Nicoless Athletic, they had an impressive 3 points to their name.

If Arsenal could do this even in the absence of Saka, it means the addition of Saka will be more advantage to them.

Arteta made the right substitution at the right time in the match, he brought in martinelli, and he was able to secure the first goal for Arsenal which is really a good one. Arsenal were able to score 2 goals in the match, and they were able to get their 3 points in the first match. With the pattern which Atletico Bilbao played in the match, I knew Arsenal will get a win in the match, they played a defensive game, and there intention was just to get a draw in the match, but the way pressure was on Atletico Bilbao in the first half of the match, I knew if they didn’t change their pattern, then Arsenal will get a win in the match.
