It's extremely unlikely that a club would ever announce that they prefer to focus on one competition over another one, it would show weakness. That of course doesn't mean that they can make some internal agreement, or simply the manager chooses to rest the best players in some specific matches.

It may be unlikely but really not extremely unlikely because we have seen some club managers do so even though they don't come public to voice it out, just by their preparations and fixtures in games from those competitions would send clear details that perhaps the team's priority isn't in this competition but in the others because of the players they fixtures in the games. Honestly speaking, Arsenal's goal keeper Raya is the reason behind arsenal's inability to concede goals know matter the pressure on the game. Raya's consistency this season has placed him above other goal keepers in the premier league and champions league making him one of the most valuable keeper this season, his transformation is a true definition of hard work and relentless pushing for greatness. With his presence and the solidity in arsenal's defence i don't think easy penetration can be possible for any team this season

It just feels uncommon that Arsenal can be able  to get both competitions, they do have a pretty fair chance at both ends but they do not seem like they can scale through both and win the title. I think even though benfica is currently coached by Morinho, i personally think they will have a little difficulty beating Juventus in this upcoming match. I think the major challenge Arsenal has in premier league right now is returning match against Liverpool, Manchester city, Chelsea and Manchester united. Arsenal and Liverpool are two different teams with different pattern of play. Liverpool was very relevant in the Champions League group stages last season but they dropped out too early and only won the Premier League but with the force that Arsenal is operating with this season, i wouldn't be surprised if they win both major trophies. Both the Premier League and the Champions League is important for Arsenal so they should keep pushing hard, if they can't win the Premier League they should try and win the Champions League just that the Premier League is more feasible for them than the Champions League. Yes, I totally agree with what you are saying, they should only focus on the Premier League instead of putting their interest in both side, if they proceed with this action, they will face the consequences later on, the consequences may be injury, etc. But I think there is very little probability of them winning both leagues even as they have the best players for the competition.
