Inter Milan is one team that, has not been convincing and consistent when it comes to their performance in the champions League this season as they failed to make it to the automatic qualifying places, and now losing to Bodo/Blink is not a welcome development. Inter stand small chance to comeback at the 2nd leg. They lacked quality in their depth. So i'm sure they're not ready what's coming for the 2nd leg. Italian football got some unexpected results this week. Napoli were already eliminated in the league phase. Yesterday Juventus and Atalanta lost and today Inter lost. Most likely none of them will make it through in the Champions League.

The top 8 was filled by English teams. If the Italian teams get knocked out in the play-off stage, they won't have any teams left in the round of 16. It'd be a huge surprise if Inter get eliminated at this stage as the last finalist. They'll have a tough job in the second leg.

I also didn't expect Serie A clubs to perform poorly in these playoffs, and it's possible that no Serie A team will advance to the round of 16 if, for example, in the second leg, Serie A teams don't win and don't score many goals. I thought Inter would be the Serie A representative that would easily advance to the round of 16, but it turns out Inter also lost today to Glimt. Yes, everyone was disappointed with Inter's performance in this match because the strongest team in Serie A and the first team in the top bank lost against Bodo. Bodo is not a very strong team in comparison, it is very shameful for Inter to lose so badly against them, despite being a strong team, they could not bring them a good result in this match. If Inter can play their next match by gaining advantage at home and playing strong and hard and can respond to every goal, then it is possible to come back. This temporary rank and difference against AC Milan actually show Chivu's management quality for the club but it seems in Champions League, this young coach has more difficulties there.

In this season, Inter Milan having terrible performance in Champions league, their lost against Brugge is big setback for them even few were giving them one of the favourites for having win in this season, but their performance in this game ended hopes for them to have win.

Even now they are going to have match at home where their chances are high for win and bringing themselves to good level, but they conceded 3 goals which are clearly big problem for them in defense, and they are not able to have good response from their attack which also fail to response in this game mostly matches in this round are going well-balanced, now upcoming round could be more interesting while few teams will be fight hard for having positive results.

Before this tie i was saying that inter milan should be wary of this bodo/Glimt team because during the group phase of the competition, they defeated Manchester City and atletico madrid to qualify for this play off encounter with inter Milan, so I see no reason why they will be afraid of inter milan if they can defeat Manchester City and atletico madrid.

The beauty of the Bodø/Glint side is that they have a disciplined defence and a very organised attack. Their defenders were able to curtail the attacks of Inter Milan and made them struggle to score goals. I also have respect for their attackers because thier selflessness. They ensured that they released the ball to strikers who were in a better position to score. In some clubs, you see strikers acting selfishly because they want to be on the score sheet. 

Predicting that they will get to the quarterfinals is premature. This will depend more on the club they meet in the knockout stage. Some bigger clubs in Europe will deal with them. Anyway, they are a good side considering that they are not from a top European League.

The season is just tough for most Italian Clubs in the UEFA Champions League. None of them made it to the top eight in the group stage. So no Italian club had automatic qualification. In the playoffs, Juventus, Atalanta, and Inter Milan all lost. So none of the Serai A clubs may make it to the next round.
