1. Don't gamble with an amount that you can't afford to lose.

2. Don't chase your losses because it leads to more losses because tomorrow is another day.

3. Have a gambling budget and time limit for your gambling activities.

4. Gamble for fun and not fod profits because most gamblers end up losing more than they win.

6. Gambling is a game of luck and not a skill based game or by experience.

Just one simple lesson which is that they should not see gambling as a way of losing money. They have higher chances to lose the money.

They should not use their school fee to gamble. Out of their pocket money, they should not use more than 1% to gamble or they should not gamble at all.

We often discuss this on this forum.

This is already very well known but I will not stop using these phrase such as gamble responsibly and gamble what you can afford to lose. Knowing these basics will help everyone to enjoy gambling without inflicting huge financial damage.

Also avoid slot games as much as possible if you don’t want to gamble with high house edge.

I think the obvious answer should be not involved yourself in gambling, and choose the right people as in my case, there are a lot of individuals that might have influence me to gamble. But in any case that I'm really into gambling then:

a. Just enjoy and have fun
b. Play with money that you can afford to lose
c. Don't be greedy, if you win some, then exit and withdraw
d. Take control of yourself

Learn to play games by yourself, take time with enough patience while placing bets, don't rush into it, use as many as possible information source to acquire knowledge before playing and be a responsible gambler.

Don't gamble for money, instead do it for fun, because we often lose more than we win, don't borrow money to gamble, it may be the worst decision ever for you to take, lastly, don't be addicted to gambling.

There is no one with a perfect track record. No one is as lucky or as skilled, depending on from which perspective you want to look at it, that they have kept winning from day 1 until the day that they stopped gambling. The harsh truth is there will always be one time where your time will come and you will lose.

1. Don't see gambling as a source of income because the outcomes are unpredictable.
2. Gamble with only what you can afford to lose.
3. Always read the TOS before registering or gaming.
4. Don't be enticed by bonuses always read the terms and conditions.
5. Don't allow your gambling activities to affect your health,  family, and work.

The best, at least to me, are two easy advice =
1) please decide a limit before you lose money
2) never chase a loss.
In some cases I would also add = play for FUN! Gambling is just FUN!
Be aware that people that try to "earn" a living from gambing will just earn a lot of economic crazy issues
Being a pro with betting/gambling requires efforts and diligence like any other "classic" job.

Stop listening to everyone claiming to be a veteran or following their advice. Most of them are either degenerate gamblers themselves, have no clue what they're talking about, or worst of the worst are giving "advice" just to make their signature quota for the week. 😉

If you do not have extra money for gambling and betting, and you take money from everyday needs, such as lunches or travel, then do not spend this money on gambling. This is an activity for people who have extra money. Also, if you plan to save on yourself in order to save for betting or gambling, do not do it. If you lose money that would make you happier in ordinary life, then anger will take over you. Play only not money that came easily, because then it will be easy for you to part with it.
And never try to immediately, under a feeling of anger, return everything that you just lost, because if the casino easily got rid of your money, this does not mean that it will return this money to you just as easily.

These are some of the few advise i can give someone just coming new to gambling, at least, they have to understand that Rome is not built a day, it takes time and process to have everything required.

I don't feel like a veteran gambler because I still make mistakes. 
But as a reminder for them including all of us, gamble according to your ability and don't think of gambling as a place to make money consistently if you don't want to be disappointed at the end of the session, common advice actually but many still violate it. Simply put, casinos are charitable places so we should consider the money we bet there as a donation not an investment.

The thing that I experienced and hope that no new gambler will try is betting with everything I have. I once gambled to the point where I bet all the money I had. The situation ended very badly for me. Although restoring my confidence also took time and finally I can now manage my gambling better.
Bet with an amount that will never interfere with your life. Manage your finances and enjoy gambling, not adding to the stress of life.

Well first, I do not consider myself as a veteran gambler, but then, I think I've gather good number of experiences enough to warrant or qualify me to advice other up and coming gamblers on how to and how not to go about gambling for a good gambling experience with peace of mind.

And what I go have as an advice is nothing new or far from what most of us here already know, and that is responsible gambling.
Gambling responsibly is like a big tree standing and has several branches, and even those branches have their own branches as well and so on, and don't be surprised that all the advice everyone is going to give on this thread will all fall under responsible gambling. So this is why gambling responsibly is the ultimate advice, if we wish to go deeper and study what gambling responsibly is all about, then we will do that little by little.

Never use emotions on deciding what's next. That will probably save them more money and time.

I have learned that lesson the hard way, and it's better if I can warn others about the mistake that they make when walking through while they are gambling, and I know most of it is because of emotions, mostly revenge.
Once you are in it, letting go will be difficult. When you keep losing, you will keep on trying more until you see yourself so deep that it's harder to swim up again. Learn from the mistakes, don't keep making mistakes.

Remember that gambling is a game of chance and remember when you gamble that you are playing so that you realize that losing and winning always happen and play with full awareness, because playing with full awareness will lead you to be able to easily control the game and not the game that controls you because it has the potential to make you continue to play without control which can harm you.

Play responsibly and set limits by determining financial and time limits to avoid further risks or potentially making you addicted, and always use money that you can afford to lose when gambling, enjoy your game but don't let yourself get carried away by the atmosphere that triggers you to play with emotion.

As a gamblers their are lots of things which you are suppose to do if you want to be a successful gambler, As a gamblers always know when to stop gambling, don’t be so desperate to make money from gambling, always gamble with the amount you can afford to lose, don’t do crazy things just because you want to gamble. If you can follow the things which I mentioned above then am sure you will be a responsible gambler, and you won’t end up regretting why you started gambling.

I think that there are lots of advises that has been shared on different platforms and also here on the forum about the do's and don'ts of gambling but no matter what is been discussed beginners still tend to do whatever they want. My contribution to this isn't an advice but more of a reminder, always gamble with what you can afford to lose. Everyone's capacity is different, if you choose to gamble like others you might be in trouble
