I don't really know if similar question or concerns has been raised before, we often say that we are gamblers but does it mean that anyone who gambles once or twice is a gambler? If no, how long could someone be classified as a gambler or what games that are to be classified as someone gambling.

I believe there is no definite time period to make you called as a gambler. If you keep playing gambling games regularly, I think you can be categorized as a gambler. However, there are some types of gamblers. There are professional gamblers, seasonal gamblers, amateur gamblers, and many other type of gamblers.

So, the definition of who a gambler is has already explained it. Anyone that participates or that is participating on bets or wagering on football, horse race, blackjack, etc, such a person is a gambler.

Someone who’s placed a bet one-time only cannot be considered a gambler in my opinion. If that person bets on a regular basis then I would consider him/her a gambler. Also the game doesn’t have anything to do with whether a person is a gambler or not, it could be poker, sports, slots, a flip of a coin….it doesn’t matter what the bet is on as long as there is a possibility of winning and losing.

I think a gambler can also be called as risk-taker, so it isn't only limited on playing a gambling game. If about gambling, a duration of playing time won't matter.

A person that plays gambling for the first time, can immediately be called as a gambler. There are people which profession is a literal gambler. You know, people that are playing for big games regularly and even had some sponsorships.

Even a normal person can also be classified as one, if they don't have a main job and treats gambling as their main source of income or at least one of it because they can also have other business like a sari-sari store. Just want to share that on the e-wallet I'm using, they classify me as a gambler when I check on my profile. Someone can be called a gambler once he/she risk their money on gambling game even only 1 time in their whole life, when he/she is playing the gambling game, he/she is a gambler.

For me at least, the way I tell is to ask someone the question. Are you a gambler? If they respond that they are in fact a gambler, then I believe them. If they respond that they are not a gambler, I do the same and take them for their word. The grey area is if they respond that they aren’t a gambler while sitting at a slot machine.

You really need to understand that there are levels of addiction. Yes, we're not talking about that, but when one decides to try out something they once tried, which is kind of odd looking, but they still feel like they need to try it more often, that's the stage-one type of addiction. So to answer your question, yes.. if you gamble once or twice in a week, month, year - regardless of how small the period looks to you, it doesn't change the fact.

What in the heavens is this?? Boy, you don't need no type of classifications on something you put your hard-earned money on. As long as your funds are into it, and you're patiently expecting something off of it, you're gambling. Your last line admired me to give reply that always having categories of gamblers is good instead of giving tag to all as gamblers because I am not agreed with this part even I am feeling those are entering in this for fun they are gamblers, but those had done just once or twice I never consider them as gambler.
Here too many to do this but never return even they had big loses and wins, but they never think again about this because they have never been comfortable, or they were having enough from this to stay away from this as well even now they never sit in gatherings where things like these talked.

At the moment that you have played up gambling or making up some bets or risking an amount into something to earn something, then you can be already called a gambler generally. There are just that categorization on the level of gambler you are on which there are those who do play occasionally, weekly or on everyday. You can be classified as a gambler and there's no such kind of requirement for you to become one.
I dont know if its really that needed to talk up that much since this do comes with common sense. If you dont want to be called a gambler then you shouldnt be playing at all. There's no way that we can be able to tell on how long on a particular person been doing or playing gambling or on how much that they had spend already. That's truth, because you can't see someone who gambles occasionally as a gambler, someone who gambles like five times in a month can be call gambler, but the thing is that we consider anyone who place a bet as a gambler, do you know that they are so many people who gambles but they don't exactly how they gambles and they do not gambles consistently, I believe that those kind of people maybe gambling with a target, and some too doesn't gambles with a target and they maybe gambling everytime but you won't know that they are gambling such regularly to chase their lost in the gambling the way I do see things moving.

Interesting question my friend, in my opinion a gambler who has only gambled once or twice cannot be fully called a gambler, especially if he has no intention of gambling again in the future. Oh yes, I also have another point of view, logically the word "gambler" means someone who often (is used to) doing the activity and if for example someone only gambles once or twice then in my opinion it still cannot be called a gambler because it is not yet a habit but of course there is a possibility that in the end the person will become an active gambler when for example he feels interested in the activity which usually starts with a scenario of success in winning at the beginning of the trial.

Gambling once or more and couldn't continue does not make you a gambler but if you continue from time to time no all the time that's to say you are a gambler but not that very active, there are gamblers that knows how to follow gambling as result not allowing it to get into their head so that it won't control them, they decide to act as if they just visit and go back again, we have gamblers that gambles often because of the fun they get from it, they gamble responsibly, they don't attach much emotions to gambling, they just want to get the fun and nothing more, let me now go straight to your question, gambling can come in different ways, those that play card or ludo offline are also gamblers, even betting offline on predictions of the outcome of even that has not taken place is also gambling, I can't actually lay hands on anything that wouldn't have to do with gambling, as long as a gambler do not stop in just 1 to 3 times of and keep gambling from time to time such person should be regarded as a gambler.

Its not about how long. People here have been gambling for years they don't feel like they are addicted to gambling. But most probably people who knew them are going to consider them as a gambler.

Citing it on a very general note, we all are gamblers and this has nothing exactly to do with visiting the casino online or offline to place a bet, our live style, our jobs, our choices, and almost literally everthing we do we take risk which stands like some form of gamble because at no point do we get a 100% certainty with any of this so we gamble often than we even realise we do but then because we don't seem like we are putting so much on the line at once, we rather not call it gambling because they are necessities for survival. But if we are narrowing it down to casino habits then it's a different talk for discussion.

For casino habits, I will prefer to say for someone who frequents the casino too often for purposes of entertainment or making money professionally or as a side gig, such can be seen as gamblers on different levels but an occasional visit to the casino cannot completely classify you as a gambler because there's no full blow habit formed from doing this meanwhile with others they have built a habit around it such that it can then be associated with them either professionally or casually for entertainment as the case may be.

There is no time frame to be a gambler. And once you signed up in any casino, deposit money and play games, you are automatically a gambler. Example. If you visit a casino center and play games there in your first day of the hall and passerby saw you there playing games, they would not think of other things but a gambler.
