Roma has signed a new right-back who is Wesley. He is 21 years old now and most probably Gasperini wanted him for the starting eleven. There are a couple of more transfers made by them too but that's it.

Still I don't think these deals are enough for Roma. They haven't even spent so much money yet. I know Italian teams don't like to splurge on players as they don't have as high revenues as Premier League teams. But Gasperini's team needs more to get stronger anyway.

Building a great team is Gasperini’s priority and I think building a team with no much top tier player might work for Roma and they would not need to spend a lot of money trying to sign top players.

But I find it hard to understand the reason why Italian teams don’t spend slot of money signing players that will help the club both in the primary leagues and the champions league. Spending on player is an investment which is risky but it has a lot of benefits and I think Italian clubs are not ready for the risks that is why they don’t spend a lot of money signing players.

I hope Gasperini manage Roma to the top of the Italian league table next season even though it hard but it time for Roma to get back to the top of the table.

The negotiations are dragging on and Atalanta are sticking to their guns, wanting 50 million. For Inter, it would be a good 150 million spent in this market but they would simply have only bought bench players, perhaps the only one would be him as the new starter but in whose place?

I don't think Lookman wants to stay at Atalanta anymore. From what I understand, he has told the club of his intention to leave. For a player of his quality, €50 million is not such a hefty price. I guess the reason Inter are stalling is because they've already agreed personal terms with him, and there's no strong competition from other clubs. Regardless of the situation, Inter's recent bid and Atalanta's asking price are not far off, hence I believe both clubs will reach an agreement soon.

According to Atalanta's CEO, Lookman hasn't wanted to play for Atalanta for some time, meaning he wanted to leave a long time ago, from what I understand from this news:

but in reality Roma is a good team, a good atmosphere and it is easy for Gasperini to prepare the team with the new players who will arrive and do better than last year, however there are players like Paulo Dybala who even if he is no longer very young can still do very well for Roma

Personally, I don't like Nico Gonzales, if Inter have to spend 40 million, it's better if they do it for Ademola Lookman He has better qualities than Nico and is more useful in more roles

I definitely agree when it comes to Allegri. He's a great tactician who knows how to set up a team and, in general, how to win titles. Modric will surely bring new energy to the team, and i think he can be a real leader on the pitch, but also off it. A player of his class deserves to be a leader. As for the title, it's certainly too early to talk about it there are teams that are realistically better and of higher quality but i still think the league will be much more interesting.

Football is a team sport so only one individual can't change things over night but what is important is the experience and team work that Modric will be bringing into the team his presence in the team will definitely bring a good influence to the younger players that are playing with him he may not be energetic as the old players but he has a great wealth of experience with him

Of course, this is a team of 11 people, if we only rely on 1 person, it will backfire on the team. We've seen how PSG, when they were so reliant on Mbappé, failed in the UCL, but after the team was able to demonstrate a game without relying on one player, PSG was able to win the UCL title. Similarly, it's good for Milan to have Modric as a mentor, but the other players must believe that they only need to learn from Modric, not rely on him alone.

I'm glad you said the "friendlies". As we all know, those players are on reservations as they have to be very fit, also have to be at a better form to be able to strive through this season's competition. These games don't determine the future; they can no doubt build the confidence of the opposing teams against the defending teams which is how the idea of pre-seasons came.

Speaking of the European champions League this season, I think we're going to be served the best part of it, doesn't matter if we are prepared or not. We've all seen the transfers from different clubs and we know the kind of results this combined efforts can bring...

Pretty good stats recorded by Roma in their friendlies. I guess it's Gasperini's effect. He looked angry when his club did mistakes in this game. I really applause it because he even treated friendly as a serious game that needs to win. He knows it's good to develop his club's mentality before the start of new season.

I also mention some players showed very postiive aura such as Mancini, Soule, Westley, and Ndicka. Only feel sad Ndicka gets injured in this game, and hope it won't be serious injury.

He his currently doing well and I think when the league start he will also do well. Dovbyk have not been that impressive since he joined Roma that why they considered signing Ferguson. Though it in loan with an option to buy which I feel by the end of season Roma will sign him permanently.

Evan Ferguson has proven to be a great striker so far, but these are friendly matches and they often give us a false impression. This player will certainly need to be kept under close attention during the Serie A championship because that's when we'll see if he's a Serie A player or not.
Dobvik didn't live up to expectations last year, but that's also due to the poor management of the first half of the season, which caused the entire team to play poorly, not just poor Dobvik. Let's see how the player will perform this year
