Mancini was away from European football for a few years. He managed Saudi Arabia and Al-Sadd in the meantime. Now he is back and guess what? His last and first jobs in Europe are the same! 

He has returned to take control of Italy again. It's great to hear about Ranieri's also being given a role there. He is a special manager and these are good moves to start from a point to resurrect the national team.

They missed 3 World Cups in a row. There was a real need for an immediate action. I hope the Serie A quality would also be increased in time.

As far as I’m concerned, we’ve got plenty of good players; what we’re missing is a striker who can score goals even with his backside. Unfortunately, that’s our big problem, because we’ve got an excellent goalkeeper between the posts.
In defence, we’ve got excellent players like Bastoni, Calafiori and Palestra.
In midfield, we’ve got excellent players like Tonali and Barella.
But up front!? Absolute nothing.

Inter is finally about to break their silence in the window with a transfer. Cristian Romero is close to sign for them. He makes €12m a year at Tottenham and asks for the same wage. In this case he'll be one of the most earners in the squad.

Is he worth it you think? Oh, I was nearly forgetting about the free transfer of Stones also!

I agree. Italy hasn't had a great striker in their squad. Kean, Retegui, Raspadori and Esposito. These were the names available in their last WC qualification game. I don't find any of them good enough right now.

I wonder if Mancini will be able to find a different name who can play much better than those names.
