What’s your real definition of a “win” in gambling?

I’m sure we all have different definitions - if there was just one, maybe a lot more people would have already quit gambling, since the reality is most of us actually lose (the numbers don’t lie). So why do we keep gambling, and why is the industry still growing? There must be some benefit we’re getting out of it, otherwise, we’d just be wasting money, and only a fool would keep doing that, right?

So what does “winning” really mean to you? What keeps you coming back to gamble?

There is an endless hope for a better future in every person. This is how nature works, and each of us believes that we are different from others. You can ask yourself this question, and within you, you will hear the answer that "other people are simple and stupid, but you are special." I do not deny that we are all special in our own way, but when we sit down to play slots, what is our advantage over others? The answer is nothing. Every person is the same to the slot machine, and it does not consider our inner qualities. But we still stubbornly believe in success.

Yeah, having no time to be pressure or worry about anything, because I always consider gambling to always be the same, which I'm always ready to accept whatever outcome it may come with, which makes me not to think or treat it as an money for survival but instead o take gambling to be a means where I can be entertained and have fun with it, having this mindset makes me to feel like a winner, which I consider it as my own definition of win in gambling.

In general, win in gambling is as simple as when you get earn profit while playing the game. Even a single bet which give you profit, it is still a win although you are losing the other bets or although you ended up losing all your balance but a win bet is still a win. That's in general, but my own definition of win in gambling is when I can gamble without worrying the result or when I can enjoy gambling and it does not affect me negatively.

I prefer that attitude as it changes the emphasis to non-profit and places the power in your hands. In my case. a win is not necessarily finding a big payout. but being content. having fun and not going beyond my means. When I am able to enjoy the moment. be disciplined and not worrying of losses; then that would be a win in itself. It is a bonus having money. As soon as gambling begins to have a negative impact on your mood or money that is when it is no longer a win. regardless of the results.

Winning can mean different things to different individuals but to me winning when gambling means I don't lose more than I've invested into gambling, at times I might not say it is an investment for what I have put into gambling because if I put in $100 then I should be making more than $100 because if I have less than $100 then that means I have lost but although it is not an investment still I don't want to lose my money. What makes me to go back to gambling is because of the fun I get from gambling, I don't want to lose but also I still want to have a lot of fun and I can do all that by just being disciplined and not overstepping my boundaries.

A win is a win no matter how small they say, but however in my own definition of win, I think of gambling could help me solve a problem whether it was emotional or physical or psychological stress then it’s a win in terms of entertainment but however, a win in other words is the amount I’m able to go home with that is beyond my capital or how much I played it. That’s a win but like you said 4 figures will be that win that will really do something special in my heart.

That's right, sometimes people thinks that winning a big amount of money is what they called winning, but having the control over your emotions to be satisfied with any amount one wins in gambling is what they actually called winning, because you have the power to control yourself when greed wants to creep in, which they are to understand the potential risks involved and how one can manage them for their own good.

My definition of winning in gambling is when I can earn money for several years with a winning strategy I've created myself, without making even the slightest mistake. It's like conquering yourself, but it's extremely difficult. I once tried to become a winning poker player, but after several months of hard work, I realized it wasn't for me because it was exhausting work that I couldn't overcome, especially if it lasted too long. Of course, other players have their own definition of winning, but for me, this is what it is today.

Personally I see wining as point of joy attained as a result of certain depression placed by force of likely losing but where the force of likely to loss become positive it's a wining. This could be small or big, any gamble or game where happiness or joy is expressed at the at and has limited losses it's a wining, to some gambler it could also be more of fun but fun can't overshadow financial losses because when one losses financially it reduced the fun except in some occasion where the gambler has more than what it's losses but where the player has less it kills the fun, therefore wining is entirely joyful weather small or big bring that feeling of joy though it can be expressed in different stages or ways.
