warning signs for galatasaray had been felt for a long time, and this match confirmed the situation. no one was speaking up about the team's disarray, but i don't think okan buruk and the team did a very good job. for several matches now, this team has had only one weakness, and that is osimhen. has the whole team come to rely on a single player? galatasaray should be a great team, not just one great player. there are people who should resign, be fired, and leave the team. they may feel comfortable in their positions right now because we're leading the league, but in this club, every moment of failure works against you.

I feel sorry for Gaziantep, they deserved the 3 points today. About the football; Icardi looks finished and we really missed Torreira in the midfield. But the biggest problem was Osimhen's absence. Don't get me wrong, Osimhen is an amazing player. But for the money Galatasaray spent on him, they could have bought Patrik Schick and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. Maybe even one more star player. If they did that, we would be watching a very different game right now.
Also, I don't even want to talk about the Africa Cup of Nations. Players go away for almost 2 months and don't play for their clubs. It's a huge problem.

Galatasaray's loss to Fernebache is quite excusable due to schedule before the team starting from last year to this very moment, they have been pretty consistent, and with the highest win in the league they also occupy the top position at the league table. All of these are as a result of their performance this season, I think this loss was as a result of fatigue and inadequate preparedness.
Inadequate preparation for me is the main reason they probably lost that game. Galatasaray also had low motivation from my point of view and that is because they did not have one key player who builds that motivation for them sometimes, but moved forward we hope to see them doing better.

Any team that relies ultimately on one player will eventually collapse especially in times when said player is not available for selection or subs. Galatasaray was doing quite well before the arrival of Oshimen, I wonder how they got themselves dependent on him. I don't know if it's the case though because they have also lost games that Oshimen started so I'm wondering if it's just a normal occurring result..

I'm sure that draw to Gaziantep rekt a lot of people. Grateful I didn't make the cut.

Galatasaray cannot maintain its lead at this rate. You can't even beat Gaziantep at home. There's no proper creation of scoring opportunities. What difference would it make if Osimhen came? There's no game plan to create chances. Osimhen might still try and score, but this kind of system is unacceptable. How much longer do they plan to keep Okan Buruk? It's hard to understand the Galatasaray management. Okan Buruk says they'll make transfers, but he should also realize that he's the priority.

Since Nigeria has been eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen should have returned to the team and may start in the first eleven for this match.

The match between Nigeria and Morocco isn't a knock out stage. It's semi-final and the loser still has the third place to play for. Osimhen is still with the super eagle to play for the third place against Senegal, although this has been played today. Osimhen should return to his team anytime soon.

A draw from Galatasaray today will give more hope to Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe is playing against Alanyaspor tomorrow. Alanyaspor is a weaker team to Fenerbahçe and it has no good record with Fenerbahçe in their last eight matches. If Fenerbahce win tomorrow, then they become more closer to Galatasaray to just two point remaining and this make the hope of winning the league trophy by Galatasaray become highly competitive.

Galatasaray played poorly, getting 1 point was a huge stroke of luck for them. Normally, they would have lost the match, but somehow they scored a goal. Even this 1 point is valuable to them. Fans are calling for Okan Buruk to resign.
If we could make transfers, we'd have some hope. We're definitely playing better than them. But we've had some unlucky point losses and many players have left the team. Their positions haven't been filled. So there's still no hope this season. Fenerbahçe will most likely win the championship.

Fenerbahçe is in very good form as a club. They are also gaining momentum in their play with each passing game. In particular, the players' ability to step up and take responsibility individually when needed is a major plus for Fenerbahçe. While I think Alanyaspor is a successful team defensively, there is a significant quality gap between the two teams, and this quality gap usually becomes apparent in such matches. I believe Fenerbahçe will win this away game while they are gaining momentum.

Fans can be impatient. A slight poor run will erase all the good works they have done in time past. Okan Buruk won almost everything last season, and he deserves some time to put Galatasaray in order. They should be grateful that they got this single point since it would have been challenging to lose before their fans. Gaziantep gave the champions a good fight and Fenerbahçe now has the chance of reducing the gap to one point if they can beat Alanyaspor today.

Gaziantepspor is missing 6 players and their manager is suspended. On the other hand, you have a team that spent 100 million euros on just one player this season. it makes no sense to barely scrape a draw at home when the opponent has 3 missing players... If it were an away game or if Gaziantep had their full squad, i’d kind of get it. But for Galatasaray, drawing this match at home is a big embarrassment.

Kocaelispor played football that deserved three points but left the field without any. Trabzonspor urgently needs to find a solution for their defense. Their defense was particularly slow in the first goal. Trabzonspor equalized in the last minute of the first half, but had no real impact until then.

In the second half, Kocaelispor again played very aggressively but couldn't convert their chances into goals. Trabzonspor scored in the 90+1st minute through Muçi, their top scorer in recent weeks, with a powerful long-range shot to make it 1-2. I believe there was a foul before that goal. VAR should have intervened and disallowed the goal, but it didn't. Trabzonspor got three points despite their poor performance, but with this style of play, they can't win the championship. They need to find a solution for their defense.

It was a very bad start to the second half of the season for Galatasaray. Today, Fenerbahçe will probably take advantage of this opportunity to win. The Alanyaspor-Fenerbahçe match started with goals from both sides, it's still early in the game. Fenerbahçe can and must take control of the game, especially since Galatasaray is losing and needs to get points.

Alanyaspor also started the match well and could challenge Fenerbahçe, hopefully they will drop points.

What's happening? Are Fenerbahçe really going to lose points on another week which Galatasaray did so too? I wasn't expecting Fenerbahçe to struggle that much against Alanyaspor.

They are 2-1 behind at halftime. I still don't think they will lose the match. But even 1 point would be okay for Galatasaray of course. At least they would keep the distance. However they really need to finish their necessary transfers ASAP.

No doubt playing without Victor Osimhen is troubling for Galatasaray with this level performance, I am not expecting them to have any chance against Atlético Madrid in upcoming game even they are playing at home still things are not favourable for them.

Icardi is having no depth while now it's going to be crucial part of season they need to be consistent, Gaziantep is not strong enough, having 5 games without win in Super league, now at the end of first half, Fenerbahçe is also trailing and have deficit of 1 goal against Alanyaspor, they still have time to fight back and cut the difference with Galatasaray. Alanyaspor is also having good streak before break, but Fenerbahçe surely can do something in next 45 minutes with in case of win, difference would be 1 point but in case of draw, this will be still on 3 points.

Yesterday, Galatasaray drew 1–1 at home against Gaziantep FK and did not make a good start to the league.

Fenerbahçe will play away against Alanyaspor this evening. It’s a very important match for Fenerbahçe because they can close the points gap with Galatasaray if they win.
I think they really need to win this match and take advantage of the opportunity. I believe they will win.

Galatasaray's 1:1 draw against Gaziantep yesterday came as a shock to me because i didn't believe that Galatasaray could not in that match and they were even the side that was struggling to get a draw in that game.

Today, Alanyaspor versus Fenerbahce is live now, instead of Fenerbahce to take the opportunity that Galatasaray gave them to close the gap, they are here losing by 2:1 in the first half of the game and if they are not careful they may either end in draw or they lose the match. I don't really know what's wrong with these Turkish top teams.

Alanyaspor started the match well and finished the first half ahead against Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe doesn't seem to be playing very well after the league break, so winning this match is very important for them because Galatasaray also dropped points this week. However, if Fenerbahçe also loses this match, they will have missed a great opportunity.
This match is quite critical for them, let's see what we will witness in the second half

I'm really not happy with Galatasaray lately. We've already been playing badly for a while. But when we have Osimhen at least he makes up for many of his teammates by doing their work also.

But now we don't have him in the lineup and this has had a negative affect directly. All Icardi can do is to wait for a good pass and try to finish it. He can't do the same work with Osimhen. Especially while he still doesn't lose weight.

We need signings immediately! Starting with a midfielder and left winger...

Galatasaray's dominance in the Super League has started to decline due to injury problems for their players. They have dropped 4 points in their last 5 matches, the last two draws were completely unexpected for me. Yesterday's match was also a very bad match for Galatasaray, they had to struggle to draw at home.

We also see Fenerbahçe struggling today. Fenerbahçe looks a bit helpless against Alanyaspor's strong performance. It will not be easy for them to reduce the points gap with Galatasaray. The match is now tied at 2-2.

Again: where are these many teams interested in Oshimen? Not even on loan, there are no big teams interested on him. That's the truth, it seems to me that some people don't want to understand the obvious. The big clubs are not interested in him, at least I'm not seeing it at the moment.
I didn't mention anything about many clubs. I am not speculating on what may be going on behind the scenes or who is submitting an offer. There's still many days to go in the transfer window.

Maybe the big teams don't see Oshimen as a player worth spending a lot of money on, looking at his performance, his success was at Napoli and Galatasaray, that may not be enough for the big clubs in his view.
He helped Napoli to their first scudetto in many years and also a good ucl run, that was a very impressive season. And players are signed every time from smaller clubs to bigger teams, so that should not be an issue.
You are also slightly getting his name wrong. I bolded the correct spelling in my earlier response.

Yo, the 2025/26 Turkish Super Lig is heating up big time right now—second half kicked off last week after the winter break, and today's action (Jan 18) has some wild results already. Kocaelispor put up a fight but fell 1-2 to Trabzonspor, Gençlerbirliği and Samsunspor battled to a 1-1 draw, Kasımpaşa vs Antalyaspor is sitting at 0-0 so far, and Alanyaspor vs Fener is about to pop off at 5 PM local time.

Standings-wise, Galatasaray's still holding top spot as the three-peat champs, with Fener breathing down their necks in second, Trabzonspor third, and Göztepe sneaking up in fourth. Beşiktaş fifth, Başakşehir sixth—those promoted sides like Kocaelispor (9th) and Gençlerbirliği (11th) are punching above their weight early on. Bottom's rough though, with a few teams already on the relegation bubble.

Fixtures looking spicy ahead: Tomorrow's got Konyaspor vs Eyüpspor, Göztepe vs Rizespor, and Beşiktaş vs Kayseri. Then Trabzonspor hosts Kasımpaşa on the 23rd. Galatasaray's got Karagümrük next weekend—should be a banger. This season's got that unpredictable vibe with the new blood up top; Fener and Gala rivalry's gonna be fire as always. Who's your pick to lift it?
