Not everyone can find or realize the good sides in gambling, because they are too greedy, they want to get rich overnight, as a result, they gamble with big odds and lose everything, then they always say that gambling is bad, it makes people poor. The both of you are basically right as this is something I've always preached myself, some people see the money they spend on gambling as an investment which is truly false, because if we are to be honest with ourself, gambling has never been and will never be an investment, but rather will remain one of the recreational forms of entertainment that it has always been right from time.

If you can contain your gambling activities and your expenditures, you will surely see the good sides of gambling. Like removing your stress after a day's work. That is, if you will use your extra funds and stop once it is busted. And play games that are not too taxing for you. Exactly if you approach gambling recklessly is going to messed with you big time . For instance two gamblers were gifted $1k to gamble . So one of the gambler is a reckless gambler , so instead of breaking the $1k into smaller unit like $10 or $100 he decided to go with $500 , and yes he  can be lucky but same time he can be unlucky too . The negativity you are trying to explain is due to not winning at all. Imagine you went to school so that you can get education and get a good job after school. Let's assume you were able to finish school and came out looking for a job that could feed you and take care of your bills but you never find one that can reciprocate all your struggles and the money you had spent in school. You are absolutely right, first and foremost, let me say that we live in a society where bad news travels more than good, we can see evidence of this in situations where a person wins a million dollars from gambling and the news shared, sooner than later the whole thing is forgetten and some people out of jealousy will not even want to comment on the good news..
But soon as they see a news about someone gambling and losing all their life savings and even borrowing and gambling with the money and losing it and ending up committing suicide, everyone will now have something to say, this type of news will trend for several weeks and months, and even years to come, some persons will still remember and make reference to the incident in their discussions.

You could call it lazy to gamble the large amount all at once, its time efficient but also the question has to be asked why be in so much of a rush.   If you don't enjoy the game and only wanted the money then getting it over and done with as soon as possible makes sense.

This is a forum and here members discuss as humans and with personal experience, this is what determine the extent of our comments and contributions, as you know most people are losing from gambling and that is the reason you see that a lot of comments here is all about warning gamblers instead promoting gambling as it expected to be, so don't get it wrong even though the good side of gambling is not mention often, that doesn't mean we don't experience the good side of it also.
