Many may buy these dreams hoping  to achieve wealth, only to fall into the trap of greed that leads them to a scam bot, a fake exchange platform, a phishing website, a pump and dump coin, or a Ponzi scheme.

Therefore, as the OP advised, and I see as important advice for beginners, they should stop chasing these unrealistic dreams and always seek the facts and do their own research.

We also see many coins that do this, saying they will use AI to make trading bots that always win money or to sell GPUs to companies that train models. It's always fake and they just want some money on the ICO to pay the team and leave when the coin drops 90%.

You nailed it with those two statements. If you check very well, the majority of the people who fall into the victim or scam were because of their greed and the belief that there is free money out there. Once you are greedy and want free things, then you become the number one target for scammers. They will sell that idea and information that you so much hope and desire for to you, and you will end up buying and believing it without even giving it a second thought because that's exactly what the person was expecting.

Always, that saturated looking too good opportunity with the potential that it'd bring quick rich is what lures most people victim of scam and so it's executed on the greeds who strives to use a less amount to get rich in a quick time.
Their ignorants and greeds neutralizes their ability to verify before accepting that too looking good offers.
Sometimes they considers the capital to be too small to attract scammers without thinking that when a lot of them has been victimized, the scammers is at the end realizing a huge sum of money because those vulnerables think scammers will only be interested on big amount of money.
On the serious note, most of those vulnerables have to convince themselves out of their greeds of getting rich with less risks in a short time even before they gets on the scammers targets so, it becomes easy for the scammers to succeed them.

My advice to anyone will simply, avoid or do not buy dreams.

If dreams of cryptocurrency of any kind is sold to you do not buy to it.

This above is from my experience, all scams are always tied to selling of dreams, some people call it too good to be true ideas or dreams.

First way to avoid getting scammed is to be Skeptical about everything, and unsolicited private messages or DMs should be treated with Skepticism hence if otherwise any dreams sold to you by anyone should not be bought, don't hesitate to leave such conversations that have too much of promise of returns to you.

Marketing. That is basically what it is called when someone tries to sell you a dream or something which appears too good to be true. Creating a strategy to get people emotionally attached to buying a service/product/idea/whatever. Unfortunately, this is what marketers do. I should know, I use to work as one.

But there is a difference between trying to sell something with beautiful, alluring packaging and lying about what you are selling. The latter can be called a scam. A marketing expert would never lie about what they are selling because that would damage the businesses reputation. A scammer does not call about reputation as long as they can make money.

When it comes to cryptocurrency, when in doubt, treat any and every cryptocurrency that is being marketed to you as a scam. Then you will be on the safe side because 99% of the time it will be a scam/pump&dump/etc.

You are absolutely right. I suspect that all the methods they sold are likely not fast , guaranteed, effective, without capital or require no skills. What they sold might be nothing but illusions for people who,, in reality, won’t even be able to make a single dollar a day.

The same goes for cryptocurrencies that claim to offer advanced technology and provide real use cases for the currency might be just goals on paper and false promises from  the team that presented the project as a promising opportunity that will eventually reward investors .

Therefore we should never believe everything we see or everything someone recommends to us, because we might end up wasting our time and money chasing false hopes.

I see Ponzi schemes and fake investments all the time online, some scammers goes as far as radio stations to promote their scams so that people will think that something that is promoted on air will be genuine. People who are looking for easy money are mostly the victims of these online scams, I avoid any business that needs up lines for you to get to higher levels before getting paid. They are baits that look genuine but a lot of people will never get to where they will receive anything significant after investing their money.

The power of knowledge can be really underrated in most cases as this is still happening in current times and people are still getting scammed. The first Red flag of a scam is unsolicited messages like you mentioned OP, but greed for what is being offered blinds the eyes of victims and unguaranteed promises leave them vulnerable to this scams.

It's better to ask yourself some vital questions or get clarifications on how someone promising you any goodies actually makes his own money from the business.  I've learned that for a business to be sustainable, an employer should make up to 5 times or more what he pays for labour or collaboration, so if there's no clear and practical way he gets his own revenue, then you're the revenue.

I won't agree less with you on this. If you dig deeper into reason why people fall victim to scam is majorly due to their zeal to make returns with little or stress at all. They are very eager to get money as quickly as possible without following proper channel not realising there's no shortcut to success. The funny thing about trying to get money out of no where is that you end up spending the little you have again instead of making more money. Anyone promising you easy way to make money through whatever means is just trying to survive through you. They will not try hard to convince you to come and make money if truly they're making it themselves but greed won't let greedy people to realise this.

Honestly, you can't even be a stranger and you're proposing something that involves money to me. I wouldn't even grant you audience. The only time I know I can discuss something regarding buying or even selling is when I know you too well, and even in such cases, I'll still feel sceptical because impersonation has also been normalised by scammers in our world today. Secondly, I can never put my money into something I've not carried an extensive amount of research on and confirmed the authenticity, and this should be the attitude of people, especially newbies to anything that requires them to put their money, regardless of how good or authentic the dream might seem to be. Well that's why it's not ideal to believe everything which is said by celebrities and influencers, thinking that they are influential people and they won't promote bad things, but guess what? That's not true because some celebrities and influencers might have pure souls, and think that they can't deceive their followers by promoting something shady to them, but others won't think twice if they are getting good money in return, because nowadays, money is the most important thing in the world for everyone.....

Besides that we shouldn't think that a certain product, be it a cryptocurrency or anything in general, is trustworthy and can be bought to used without any problems only because it has been promoted by a celebrity or an influencer we like or follow, because they are also human, honestly humans are always drawn to certain things and can make mistakes.

You are very right mate, the hard truth is that everyone wants to become rich very quickly and that's the main reason why many people still become a victim to scammers. However if people stop believing anything good to be truthful stories in social media or any part of the Internet, them I will be sure that the rate at which people get scammed will probably reduce. But if people continue to believe anything they come across on the social media or the internet then they will keep on getting scammed.

This will actually help someone out there, sometimes scales starts off from what looked like an innocent and harmless unsolicited dms that was replied and got engaged in conversations probably which shouldn't have started in the first place actually.  In this world of too many technological advancements, you have to approach almost everthing with a good dose of skepticism so you don't have to always fall prey of this scammers.

Everyone gets greedy at some point but self control saves some people from some troubles. I have had my own experience with scammers, both on matters relating to crypto and matters not crypto related.  I had to struggle hard to suppress the greedy tendency in me, fortunately, self control saved me from that trouble.

Self control is not just an attribute only newbies should possess. Anyone can become a victim at any time. Whether one is selling a dream, introducing an investment or extending a hand of partnership, the sole aim of accepting to be part of it should not be driven by greed, even when the offer is coming from a known person. With the increase in scams, we cannot ignore the importance of due diligence check and proper research before acting on any information thrown to us.
