Ivory Coast take on France tonight in the WC friendlies. I know many of us here are not interested in the friendlies; they want the real deal, which is for the World Cup to start. However, the African teams in the WC have shown that it wont gonna be easy for European nations to defeat them easily. Ivory Coast defeated France with 2 goals to 1. Desire Doué's elder brother scored the equalizing goal for Ivory Coast. Two brothers from the same parents but different nationalities. Ryan Cherki had a brilliant performance overall. And lastly, Amad Diallo, who had only scored 2 goals for Manchester United this season, scored the winner for Ivory Coast.

A few African countries will be playing, and i give them my support, i hope they go far in the tournament.

Some African countries are already putting up some good performance in the international friends leading up to the World Cup and a good example of one of these countries is Ivory Coast who were able to defeat one of the favorites of the World Cup because of how talented their team is talking about France in a friendly game. I understand that it is a friendly game and maybe the French team decided not to play their best again but we should not underrate and take away anything from the performance of the ivory coast team. These kind of wins will add to their confidence.

Yeah, so African teams have been able to put up some quality games this night, I saw the game between Ivory Coast vs France, it showed  that African have a contending team that could stand toe toe with France. It might look as though the game was just a friendly game but it is from buildups like this that you would know opponents that are ready to confront any team in the World cup, and Ivory Coast have showed that they can take on any team by surprise, because a 2-1 victory against a country like France doesn't come cheap, it shows that you are made of matria stronger than leather.

A lot of people are not really happy because Nigeria didn't make it to the world cup but it is necessary for us to support other African countries and follow them up because they are our representatives in the world cup. I got my eyes on Ryan Cherki the City boy, Amad Diallo the magic man was superb in his winning goal and to Desire Doué's family, they are blessed with good talents.

Do not take friendlies as serious games especially before the real competition. In the World Cup teams like France transform literally to something else. Being defeated against Ivory Coast means nothing for them. They aren't the only ones being defeated even Netherlands lost against Algeria and Spain got a draw against Iraq. It is a false reassurance for these teams and those closed to them while the main goal of such matches is to test a neighbourhood nation close in its performance to their rivals in the World Cup. Ivory Coast, have have always been one of Africa's best football countries, they have a record of producing strong African players from the time of Didier Drogba, till date and I believe that they will go far in the world cup. Defeating France, is a great motivation for them that they have what it takes to make impact in the world cup and the rest of Africa, is behind them to shine and make us proud. Qualifying for the world cup is not a small thing so we don't have to underate any teams that made it to the finals, I wish all the teams the best especially African teams that they will shine and bring glory to Africa.

I love football and i would have watch the world cup friendly game that France and Ivory Coast played yesterday if i had known of the game regardless it was just world cup friendly game. African teams in the world cup are playing better in the world cup friendlies than the way they performed in the last friendly games but i will not say they are showing that it will not be easy for European nations to defeat them easily because it is just world cup friendlies in which European nations will supposedly appear weak if African teams shown their current performance in the world cup i will agree they do not want to be easy for European nations to defeat them easily.

Well, a big congratulations to Ivory Coast, they did a great job for their country and the entire African continent. I know if the play against each other in the world cup it's going to be a different challenge because France will do their possible best to get the three points. But I see this Friendlies matches as an encouragement for the African continent that they can compete strongly against non African countries, because even in the world cup race we don't always believe that African teams will have great impact because they are always lagging behind.
