Sometimes I wonder how they feel after exhibiting these act of theirs. The thing that baffles me most is how they plot out their strategies and go unnoticed for a while and nobody can be able to detect it and in some cases such act is not detected. They are master at their embezzling games and nobody can do anything because they have their men everywhere in the system so you are wasting your time if you go report them to any authority instead you are endangering your life.

You are very wrong if you feels that no body is aware of what they have been doing over the years, we as Nigerians are aware of it and due to how corruption the system is, people are afraid to speak up because the head, which is from the president of the federation, to the Senate president are the worst and most corrupt politicians ever, so it would be just like you are reporting their boys to them, and you might be targeted, which automatically puts your life at risk, so these are the reason most people are quiet, not that they are not aware of the massive corruption going on in our Nigerian football federation.

What @Ronsbit need to understand is that in every political appointment in Nigeria, there's a godfather behind it or you as someone that's been considered for appointment worked your way out during their rigged elections which means you are either their man or boy very simple to understand, I can tell us for free that the president who appointed the NFF president is very much aware of the corrupt practices going on in everything that has to do with our national football, the only time he might consider to act is when it becomes very obvious and the nation at large starts to complain or when those appointees aren't loyal again, this what we use see in Nigeria football those days, my question is how did our Nigerian football association get this bad.

Why do you care more about what the cartels are doing?! One should be focused on how to stop this corrupt system and not what the cartels are doing and not doing. I honestly do not expect much from these system, you don't expect shit from such a system where the heads are bloody corrupt. The presidency, judiciary and house of senate are no different. This current government no different from dictatorship,  they will frustrate you. The only way is to directly target those looting these funds. It's either we end them or they end the talents present and in the future.

I just saw the news that the Super Falcons have qualified for WAFCON 2026. I’m so proud of these girls and what they are doing for women’s football in Nigeria. It’s comforting to know that you can always rely on the Super Falcons to make us proud. If it were possible I’d have transferred some of the players to the men’s squad lol.

Be careful of what you wish for because you can transfer some super falcons players to the super eagles team, and they can end up performing below your expectations.

These are people that individuals can not stop the only way that would have stopped them is the judiciary but if you should look at it the whole place have been bought and you hardly see any of those officials that are not corrupt and they have been part of this corrupt practice all this while, because even if you should have a gun what will do nothing because you are not allowed to do self justice we know how annoying it but what do you want to do. and people are tired of even complaining and the system is also corrupting the individuals because of the hardship people don't longer consider the decision they are making.

Talking isn't enough, actions have to be taken. Other countries have reform their corrupt systems so we can do the same. We have to stop being afraid that things aren't going to work out and start trying to improve our already corrupt systems. If we can get a fair election and remove the people in power than we can begin to see changes from this institutions. The rot in the NFF and other agencies of the government is getting worse every day. And it is affecting the development of football in the country.

Nigerians can easily adapt to challenging situations, so we might not see a revolution anytime soon. We love our lives so much that we are willing to suffer under any corrupt government rather than revolt against them. And the brutal disposition of African leaders is fearful. Peaceful protests usually lead to deaths.

I won't say people aren't noticing the corruption but there's nothing anybody can do because corruption is everywhere but just that ours is too much. At least the whites or other African continent put some human sympathy in their stealing and try to do something for the sport but  ours, they embezzle all the money and not show any workings.

Atleast if they had done somethings with the money, the condition of our fields and training equipment won't had been this bad as they're. The stadium aren't being maintained properly and it's causing discomfort for both players and viewers.

The money meant for maintenance is being shared among the cartels therefore since everybody there is a part of the scam, nobody opposed them and this has being continuous for many years and not ending anytime soon.

The corruption is in another level here. Maintenance money is really being syphoned hence we see dilapidated buildings and poor states of the stadium in the country. Money meant for the maintenance is not accounted for and the government doesn't say anything about it because they know themselves and they are all "birds of the same feather" so nobody would say anything and if there is any petition against them, it would just be swept under the carpet and nothing will happen. It is quite unfortunate that the system is so corrupt that even the least fund which is meant for just  maintenance is being syphoned. This is why our stadiums are not well kept and the facilities are all looking outdated and nothing new and enticing to talk about it.

Citizen decides to fight them how so ? Because even the protest, rally and all sort of means that I know the citizen can do to actually get their message across has been foiled and resulted to nothing so I really don't know what to say about this whole issue of corruption because it's beyond saying that the citizen should fight, I mean we all saw what happened at the lekki tole gate 2020 when innocent citizens were opened fire on. True in Nigeria the government has so reduced the power of the masses that the government will always have their way in any matter, the citizens have no power as far as am concerned in Nigeria because, government has reduced the power of the citizens wit etimidation and threat using the machinery of the state.


We have a weak judicial system which has lead us to were we are as a nation. When a society have a weak judicial system that reflects and affects every area of the country including sports this is why we are seeing a lot of corruption going on even in our sporting sector.

Don't be surprised that this embezzlement of funds you mention, the NFF is not the only one that is involved in embezzling the amount mapped out for the support of building sports facilities in Nigeria; some top government officials will be involved in the embezzlement. That's the reason why, when issues like this are being raised, it is swept under the carpet by the authorities because of those involved.

These people are fucking corrupt and they are not interested in any development at all, all they care about is looting and buying different properties both in their home country and abroad where they could hide in case their is a watch on them. They would not mind to use 10% of the total allocation of fund for a project that of high need to the society. There is nothing we the watchers can do about this. This shit will continue happening even after now.

All African leaders are only interested in enriching themselves, and they aren't concerned in developing their country and making life easier for their citizens. Tinubu has subjected a lot of Nigerians to abject poverty, and yet he still wants to tax us from next year when he has failed to create jobs in the country. If we don't stand up for ourselves and put an end to some rubbish our politicians are doing, they will keep treating us the way they like because they are wicked and they don't care how we feel.

I think the super Eagles of Nigeria have a very tough task ahead of them towards their quest to make it to the FIFA World Cup 2026 considering that they will have to go through the African playoffs consisting of four good different team in Africa where there first game is against Gabon who were just so unlucky enough not to make it through the automatic qualification process because they really played well and won majority of their matches when compared to the numbers won by Nigeria, their frontman Aubameyang was literally scoring goals for fun during the qualification’s unlike the super eagles who were struggling to score goals not until the remaining last two matches where they knew they needed goals to be able to stand a chance of qualifying amongst the second best placed team for the playoffs. And even if they eventually won the first game against Gabon, they still will meet the winner between Cameroon and Dr Congo and this are very good teams who are almost very much desirous to be at the World Cup, so for me I think is really going to be a huge task for the super eagles, but if they can remain committed and give their all just as they did against Benin republic in the final qualifying game, then they stand a chance to win.

The super eagles has a tough task if they want to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and they have to be very tough themselves. The qualifications will even be more tough for for Nigeria because they will be playing the African cup of nation this December given tough work for the super eagles players.

The reason why it looks like this thread is becoming more of politics is because their is no real match for now for us to agitate on and since we can not discuss matches that are not relating to African players or football clubs here. Another thing is due to the funds given to the Nigerian football association to build a stadium but the fund was partially diverted for something else using little portion of the fund to build a street football pitch in the name of a stadium.

Ngl, I no longer blame anybody for being corrupt in this country since it appears to be deeply rooted into the system. From national level to even local level. I saw a video recently about corruption only being bad if one isn't involved. My only problem with these guys however, is the fact that they do very little with their budget and siphon the rest to fund their luxurious lifestyles. The way it's setup, you're better off trying to align with them than trying to report it because that's one of the easiest way to get yourself in a big trouble in this country.

I am sure long throw in can be something that can be developed if that becomes the focus. It is no news that the area of our game that needs the most improvement is our midfield and creativity. We need more link ups with the strikers we have for finishing. If that can be improved on, we will not need focusing on long throws to help us win games.

I think the major problem of the NFF is that it's not operating independently just like the many other top national football associations across the globe. The fact that the officials of the NFF are mostly determined by the politicians makes it even harder to sanitize the association and that's because when new administrations take over, they appoint their own loyalists and protect their dealings. I think the first step to take if Nigeria really want to have a working football federation is for the NFF to be allowed to run as an individual body, that way, their activities can always be audited by independent auditors. These people gave robbed the Nigerian people of the opportunity of experiencing quality grassroot football while syphoning the funds meant for big projects.
