The players should just pack their bags and go home, whatever issues with unpaid allowances with the NFF should have been handled properly before now. If not for the love of the game and how badly I want to see the young ones who haven't played in the World Cup before to showcase their skills honestly I would have been saying what you just said about giving up in the Super Eagles and the so called NFF. If you watch one guy's video on Facebook "The big bird" that's his name, the guy said things that if you see the NFF and this crazy owing of players you'd be more pissed (the players deserve more) they have the money to settle these players ahead of time but they choose to make them look like they don't deserve to be paid after serving their nation, is so said. Ok after seeing this and the players choose to play worse than what we have seen them display since the beginning of this World Cup qualifiers we that don't know much will blame the players but deep down is not their doing, because how can you be working without being paid, no one would try such.

The super eagles are boycotting training when they have a game against Gabon in Morocco on Thursday, they are asking to be paid their outstanding payment but boycotting training for this match against Gabon.
It is over for Nigeria hope to be at the World Cup? Players can be boycotting training with few days to the match.

The issue should be resolved before their next training session. Gabon want to qualify and they are preparing for the match better than Nigeria. Happy birthday to the super eagles coach and i hope he gets the win as a present for his birthday.

You can see how greedy and selfish our NFF is. In a time we need the super eagles to be in their best so they can defeat Gabon tomorrow, our NFF is now the weapon fashioned against us, and they could be the reason we will not get the result we are looking for because it seems our NFF have hardened their minds like Pharaoh. It’s even worse that the players are being owed match bonuses, camp allowances and so on from 2019 till date. Where are all the yearly budget going to?
I watched Obi One’s podcast where Mikel Obi said he self sponsored the trip of the Super Eagles and has not been refunded. And the NFF spokesperson come out to say that Mikel was “demarketing” Nigeria. Now who is demarketing Nigeria? Is it the players who show up or the NFF that embezzles money meant for the sport.

As a concerned citizen, I feel sad reading that news and was disappointed at NFF. With all sincerity, I condemned the NFF action for holding and depriving these players their entitlement but boycotting the training ahead of crucial game like this is not a wise decision from our super eagle players. The players are the direct beneficiary if we qualify for the world cup and perform excellently. It's a special honour to participate in the world cup aside the special monetary bonus involved.

Playing in the FIFA WORLD CUP an opportunity for them to showcase their skills globally and make name for themselves and the country at large. This is not the right time for disagreement, it's the perfect time to be united to avoid distractions. I don't want to hear this incident lead to our lose in the coming days. It's a shame for government and the football body for failing in their responsibilities.

Anything that has to do with owing payment and the players are asking for it before anything I don't blame them because they no the people that is managing them because they might ignore it now and later it becomes a problem of paying back, perhaps it could be the same way they use to have been owing people we heard about those times, the payment is very important for the players so if the management knows that they love there continuation on this competition they should pay it, after all they wouldn't say they don't have the money, is shameful as big as the country and the high paid players we have in the super eagles on there various clubs would be asking for there payment when there was no supposed to be any owing.

Only few steps left for Nigeria after being almost eliminated from the qualifiers.
In this match against Gabon, they are favourite. The odds are 1.8 for Nigeria to win and around 4.8 for for Gabon even though you might found higher odds in the different bookies.
I think Nigerian players and stuff took lesson from what happened in the past and they will give their maximum performance to win this semifinal game.
Cameroon game is expected to be harder against the DR of Congo and their odds are way closer than Nigeria's game.

I don't fault the players in any way, in all of this I hold the NFF accountable. I support the players in what they are doing, because if they don't take this action the NFF won't pay them those allowances. Not that the money is not there, why not pay these guys their money and let everyone be happy and let the team move forward. When other countries are giving their players bonus as motivation for them to put their best effort to qualify for the world cup. NFF is demoralising our players spirits.

I just saw this post on Facebook and if this is really true it’s an insult on the Super Eagles and the Nigerian Football Federation, how can they select or chose such a place for them. These are not just street footballers, there are World stars and wealthy men representing their National team.
The way CAF or FIFA disregard Nigeria in some things is becoming very alarming, first they allowed officials from South Africa and Benin to officiate such a serious match without considering all the bias that may arise.

I need to understand one thing, who is responsible for this? Should we put the blame on the CAF, FIFA or the NFA? This is a big disgrace to the Nigerian team and the players that are given this kind of treatment. Why must it be that when it comes to the Nigerian team to get better treatment, that's when they will be offered partial treatment that is not good enough for a small start that's coming up.

I will blame the Nigerian Football Association for this rubbish treatment they are giving to our players. It does not make any sense to put a whole first class citizens in this kind of place to lodge when there are better places like big hotel they can use.

NFF is responsible for the selection of the hotels the team will use. So many factors would be considered including proximity to sporting facilities.

But this picture is not of the hotel, but its environment. It's just an abandoned building that is close to the hotel. The team is staying in one of the best hotels.

The main issue now is that the players refused to train yesterday because they have not been paid for several months.

I don’t even know why all these players will be complaining just because they haven’t been paid; at this moment, all they need is attention and how to win and qualify to the world cup, it is for their own use as well because they will have appearance at the World Cup and once they miss this opportunity, some of them will never play the World Cup again since the team isn’t  keeping old players like other teams.

In my opinion, with or without a training, the Super Eagles of Nigeria is supposed to win this match by all means, and I know most of them also want the match to be won that’s why they all travel down to Morocco for the match. Tomorrow will be deciding day, so can see if the Super Eagle can drop all these claims and allegation of unpaid allowances can be dropped so that they will face the match proper.

Does the Nigerian Football Federation pay players who play for the national team? Does the federation offer this as a reward, or are players paid to play for the national team?

In our country, when the national team achieves success, they receive rewards, but players selected for the national team don't receive any. How did the Nigerian Football Federation end up owing players money?

I think this situation will have a very negative impact on the Gabon match.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. The debt spans over 4 years and in all that time the Super Eagles have showed up and played wholeheartedly for the badge. I read they even offered to forgo some of the debt so the NFF can pay whats left but they still have not.

Latest News: I saw on Kelechi Afc Instagram page that the Super Eagles players are heading to training. It appears that both parties have reach a good agreement.

I hear you, brother. This matter really is on my mind to speak out since honestly speaking it getting out of hands, well it really maddening to see our boys sweating it out on the pitch while the NFF and the govt are busy playing politics with their pockets which it’s very frustrating to those see how they suffered and at the end of the day there are given peanuts and on the other hand those so call NFF filled their pockets.

Please, we should be doing proper research on sensitive information like this. I don't know why most social influencers can raise an agenda.
The image you see was posted by Iwobi; he never said anything in the video, only turned his head. Later that day, he came out clean to say he was only citing some poor areas in Morocco and how people struggle to survive there. He never mentioned they were treated poorly.

yeah I have now gotten clearer information on the matter but it trended quite a while our bloggers are always looking for something juicy whether true or false, they don’t care and I just patronised them.

But there’s also a news going round about the Super Eagles being owed some bonuses for 2years now,… the NFF and our politicians never cease to amaze us. What kind of expensive joke is that?.
Our biggest problem in the sporting sector is the politics and corruption eating deep into our representatives and sometimes you’ll wonder why this boys are not giving their best for the team. If not for the spirit of patriotism I’ll say there’s nothing this boys are getting from representing Nigeria. Year after Year we hear the Same news over and over again.
Tomorrow when the boys don’t perform well!!….. now who will you blame?
