This is a good development in the African Football domain, What the African Football Federation President is doing by visiting the disgraceful Senegalese Football Federation, is the right thing to do, he has to once again tell them to obey the law and return the Trophy which is absolutely the right thing for them to do, else they will have to face heavy sanctions, and they will have no choice but to forfeit their rights to participate in the FIFA World Cup if they eventually refuses to return the Trophy, I think Nigeria would be very happy to take their place, I know there are so many Nigerians here who would be happy with that Outcome, because Nigeria a disgraceful country wouldn’t also be at the World Cup, because I’m completely sure that FIFA would have to come into play here, before Senegal would completely destroy African Football.

They didn't carry Africa on their shoulder. Go and do research on the goodwill message of some players after they got to the semi-finals in the World Cup semi-finals. They appreciated their citizens and the Arab world,  Africa was not mentioned at first. Africa was included after it received backlash from Africans. I respect the Moroccan national team, but I will not support a country who have rejected the African continent. They believe that they are more Arab than Africans. have confidence that one or two African teams besides Morocco will make the continent proud.

Other African countries have carried Africa on their shoulders in the past, and even if Morocco reached the semi final of 2022 world cup it is not a reason for us to support them when the world cup start on January when they have made it clear that Africa do not deserve them and they wish to join European Union. Morocco does not see themselves as African country, and what they did in the just concluded Afcon tournament and not acknowledging Africa After the 2022 world cup is a fact that Moroccan does not see themselves as Africans, and i think Africans should match them with the same energy. Since Morocco did not see themselves as Africans, i will not support them in the world cup.

Are you happy that they removed the wining from Senegal and gave to Morocco?, because all your comments regarding this trophy has been against the country who fairly won the trophy, I'm not saying you must agree with everybody but truth is very important because soccer is a loveable sports but when a person doesn't like when the truth is prevailing the entertainment will become a selfish tournament to them. The bragging right Morocco is having now is because we've allowed them to host this tournament, CAF leadership see Morocco as their condic pipe that finances them at the moment so they seem to dance to the tune of Morocco. I think other African countries should step forward in hosting most of this tournament, at least not to create some form of monopoly.

CAF is obviously corrupt asf and if they eventually continue this way,  they will kill the African football for us, we do not want politics into the sports we all enjoy..
The president of CAF paid a visit to the president of Senegal and sports president, I don't bloody care but they should never let go of that African Cup of Nations trophy which their players won and merited.  Countries who can host are those with advanced security and infrastructures. I believe that the Senegalese team and their citizens have a right to protest what they term as justice to them, you don't expect them to just handover the AFCON trophy to Morocco without any resistance. I'm not blaming them because they need to send a message to CAF that the ruling against them was very unfair because a Moroccan first missed a penalty before they scored and won. Having said this i also believe that it is important to be law abiding, as they have registered their protest which is their right what they should do now is handover the trophy pending the judgement of their case against CAF and Morocco, if they win the trophy will return to them.

I don't know what that guy is saying, Nigerians are not reasoning in that way to in any way replace Senegal in the World Cup. We all want the AFCON trophy to remain with Senegal, Morocco don't deserve to be called the AFCON Champions, they didn't play fair, and returning the trophy to them only brings more disgrace to African football, CAF is corrupt and that is my stand.

Well the idea of the president moving to meet with the Senegalese football federation is okay and understandable but next time, they should be wise and not make this kind of reversible decision again because it is unprofessional if this kind of shit happens again.

CAF president is free to visit Senegalese Football Federation, so you should not celebrate that CAF president visit to Senegalese Football Federation will force Senegalese Football Federation to listen to CAF's decision and give Morocco the Afcon trophy because Senegalese Football Federation will never obeys CAF's order, and even if CAF wants to threaten Senegal with sanctions it will not make Senegal change their mind also, so i will not worry myself with that because i know Senegal will not succumb to CAF threat, Senegal will not forfeit their place in the world cup because they are fighting for their right and the injustice of CAF.

I don't think that the purpose of caf president going to Senegal is to pressure them into releasing the trophy to morocco, even though that will also be discussed there, but the main reason caf president went to Senegal is to unify both nations ( morocco and Senegal) because this decision has really brought a huge division between them and it's like morocco against the rest of Africa.
 So I think that it's more of a diplomatic mission, not a mission to be making threat or demands, because as it stands, the only thing that will make Senegal to release that trophy is if the court of arbitration declare morocco the winner, without that happening, I don't think that the Senegalese government or even fa will agree to release the trophy to morocco.

I don't blame Senegal for what they are doing for not allow law to have her way, because they know anything can happen in Africa to make them lose the trophy they have already won. I know Senegal government will advise his players to release the trophy to see what FIFA officials will conclude about the matter, because something like this may happen in the future and this will be an evidence that will make any club to claim their right immediately.

This is Africa, I don't think FIFA president will rule this case for the favour of Senegal club, because the host are eager to win the trophy by all means. We all know what the host did to super eagle of Nigeria club just to make sure they qualify and they succeeded through the referee.

The Senegal Football Federation is disgraceful, and Nigeria is a disgraceful country. I don't know why you are using such words about these two nations. You don't expect Senegal not to show some sign of revolt for the injustice they are suffering. But I think they should obey the verdict as they continue with the appeal.

Nigeria might not be given the Senegal slot even if they are banned from going to the World Cup. FIFA would decide how to sort it out.

Nigeria wants to play in the world cup, but I believe if FIFA ban Senegal to participate in the upcoming world cup because of their refusal to hand the trophy to Morocco as instructed by CAF, Nigeria will never take the position of Senegal in the world cup because if they do it will only fuel CAF to be more corrupt. Why Visit Senegal all in a bid to explain yourself to the president of the nation if this guy thinks that the decision of handing over the trophy that has been won by Senegal on the field of play to Morocco. This guy knows exactly what he is doing Senegal should not hand over the trophy to Morocco until the ruling from the court of Arbitration of sports give their final verdict.


The most annoying part of it is that all the crimes that Morocco committed in course of the tournament CAF is not even talking about it. How many of the Moroccan ball boys who were collecting the towels from the opposing teams has been sanctioned. The good thing is that both the Referees that officiated the finals and the semi finals of the Afcon which involves Morocco has been dropped by FIFA from officiating at the world cup. Both the semi finals game involving Nigeria vs Morocco and the finals which eventually ended in disaster shows a high level of compromise from the part of the official.

The CAF President is biting more than he can chew, let that sanction come, we want to see the end of this madness the CAF has started. If they think they have powers, then African countries will unite to boycott their tournament whenever they host it till all this shenanigans is settled, else we can form another football body and host for African countries to participate. Well Africa will never cease to amaze me, because I don't understand why a tournament would be play and Senegal won the trophy for the tournament, and the opponent then went to court, which this type of thing haven't in anyway happened in any of continental tournament, but only in Africa where the country that won the trophy is being asked to return back to the country that never won the it what a madness.

I trust my country on this one they will never return back that trophy moroco should go to hell and burn to archies. After their misconduct during the AFCON tournament they are now claiming what they never won, as how now?

Secondly, Nigeria is not even interested in playing in coming FIFA world cup competition,  there is no way the Nigeria super eagles will want to replace Senegal.

Are you happy with the decision that the CAF president made? Is the decision really proper? Don’t you think the decision looks stupid? How will you ask a country that wins the trophy to return it after like 2 months, don’t you think that’s really a stupid decision? Senegal won the African cup of nations which everyone saw, how will you ask them to return the trophy, it looks embarrassing, and the decision is just stupid.

We know some errors happened during the match, and the referee should be punished also, instead of asking the Senegal team to return the trophy, why not just punish them in another way, maybe ask them to pay a fine or maybe other punishment, but it’s ridiculous to ask them to return the trophy. I think the Senegal shouldn’t release the trophy to them, they should do whatsoever they want to do.

But if I may ask, which other sanctioned will CAF give that will be worst than openly depriving them as the legitimate winners of the just concluded 2025 AFCON games? Because with the way the whole scenario is going, I won't be surprised if it's later revealed that the CAF president has an agreement with the Moroccan government to give them the cup of the just concluded 2025 AFCON final game. Because everybody who watched the final game all saw that the Senegalese players won the match plain and fair, and the cup was awarded to them immediately on the pitch. So coming back to reverse the cup literally shows how confuse the African football federation is. And my sincere advice to the Senegalese players should be not to release that cup, because it is rightfully theirs, and if they want to sanctioned them, then they are free to do whatever they want to.
