As I was scrolling through on Facebook yesterday I saw a sad news. Michael Eneramo, ex Super Eagles player, passes away on the field after collapsing during a training session in Kuduna State. Let's put his family in our prayers for God to comfort them in this difficult time.

It is indeed sad news. Hearing that he slumped and died on the pitch during a match is quite unfortunate. I suspect that it might be a heart attack or other serious medical condition. He had a properous career playing for Besiktas of Turkey, Esperance of Tunisia, and a domestic club Lobi Stars. There are reports that he was running a football academy in Nigeria. Seeing that he has good intentions for our local talents brings more pain to me.

I pray that the Almighty God would grant him eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

This is a sad news and lost for the country for losing this particular player, we used to see in the past players collapsed on the pitch and die instantly, I don't really know or can tell what usually causes this, if it's heart attack as a result of intense training, hard drugs or any other thing. As a sports person, this like this is part of the hazard of the game because if you're not paying proper attention to your body, heart failure can come visiting at the time you least expect. It's such a bad news for someone that's relatively young and still have a lot of potential and love for grassroot football. May God grant him eternal rest and take away negative news from our national team both for the active players and the ex players because it's gradually turning a normal that the rate of negative news is increasing too much.

This is all sad news. That makes it important for each one of us to do a comprehensive check-up on our body once in a while, like every six months to run a comprehensive check-up on our body to know the illness that has developed or is to develop, so that we will know how to tackle it on time ''medically" before it eats deep into our body system.

Maybe Michael Eneramo didn't know he was suffering from a heart attack. He should take a break from football for a while before he can think of playing football again because of his age.

It's still unfortunate anyway, may God grant Michael Eneramo eternal rest, now and forever, amen!!

This is great news and I think Victor Osimehn deserves to play in a bigger competition like the premier league than wailing away his time in the Turkish league. I wonder why Arsenal didn’t went for him the last time and just doing that now. Currently, Arsenal has two strikers in their team namely Gyokeres and the Brazilian striker- Jesus. Are they planing to sell one of them this summer which I think would have to be Gabriel Jesus because he doesn’t get enough playing time and most of his games, he comes in as substitutes. It is really a sad news for the family of the deceased and a big lost for Nigeria, i do not know why players collapsed on the pitch and die instantly because they do exercise almost everyday in their lives of which the exercise should help them stay healthy and avoid heart complications or diseases in the future, but i am just surprised why some players die of heart attack, hard drugs is not the only thing that could cause heart attack, what people eats could cause heart attack too. We do not have the power to undo what has happened to the deceased rather than wishing his soul to rest in peace and sending our condolences to the deceased family.

Best news I have heard all week. I made a post about how much Arsenal needs a striker like Osimhen if they want to win trophies and I’m happy to hear that they are making a move for the player. Gyokeres has been a disappointing signing for the Gunners, and with Jesus and Havertz unfit, the club is suffering serious setbacks.

May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. It's high time the Nigerian football body looks into this matter. A few times, players have collapsed on the pitch in action due to health matters, and yet nothing is done about it, and this keeps repeating itself, and our governing body just keeps mute over it as though nothing is wrong with it. I understand that sometimes players would want to be featured in matches even when they know they are not sound, and since the medical team of such a club is not proactive, such a player finds their way to the pitch, and in some cases, the unfortunate happens, and that player is gone. There should be some form of health fitness protocols before any player is featured on the pitch. It is just that our agencies are not that proactive otherwise, most of the things happening would not occur.

To be honest, such sudden deaths are unacceptable. There are usually some specific reasons behind such accident such as: sudden cardiac arrest. So this is nothing new but if premedical screening is made mandatory, such accidents can be prevented. In fact, in many advanced leagues like the English Premier League, regular ECG, echocardiogram, stress test are done for players. But in our country or in clubs, this process is not followed strictly enough which is a big problem. Even if the player takes the field, the players could have survived such accidents even if they had done an initial checkup but it seems that is not happening either.

I do not think they follow due process before allowing play time for players here. What I see here is that they always want to utilise players becasue they pay them and not take their welfare serious and this is not good. Because before a player takes on the field, he must have undergone serioes of fitness examination by the club before being featured so they do not encounter any issues but from the looks, I do not think they did any medical examination otherwise they could have detected his health challenges and not allow him to play for that day.

Victor Osimhen can't afford to decline another move to a top club in the opening of transfer market. Is an authentic news and as everyone is happy about it that's actually how delighted it has made me feel about it because it was within the right clubs that has made this move on him, starting the premier League with Arsenal is a celebrating milestone because if not for someone they no of his performance Arsenal would have avoided to make a move of signing. I’m with you on this, most of these European clubs are just messing around and whatever it is that’s going on between the Arsenal and Victor Osimhen I wouldn’t have any hope of anything until there’s pen to paper.
For sure Galatasaray are not going to let him go for peanuts or even go easily as he’s their best player and arguably the biggest influence in the league. The fans and people love him there, before he leaves for any European club it sure gonna be for something better or worth it.

Before joining Beşiktaş, he had played for Sivasspor in the Turkish league. He had a very powerful physique and could shoot hard. I had the chance to watch him play live. I was saddened to hear of his passing.

Mosheu and Musisi also passed away at a young age. When I heard the news of Eneramo’s untimely death, they came to mind.

Sure it would be a smart move, but then again I think that the challenges that Arsenal are facing isn't only from their forward, they are also  lacking good defensive prowess...So while they are doing everything possible to improve their attack, they should also do the same for their midfield as well as their defense, so that everything will be more balanced. I don't think any of these English teams are ready to pay Osimhen what Galatasaray is paying him and that is the bone of contention, we remember his back and forth when Mikel obi wanted to intermediate between him and Chelsea and they couldn't get a head way because of wages, if the wages are not right trust me Osimhen is going to remain in Galatasaray. So if Arsenal truly wants him then they should pay as much as Galatasaray have paid. Coming to the English premier League is obviously a good one for a player like Victor Osimhen but then we should look critically what this English guys are ready to offer.

Arsenal would have signed Victor Osimhen last season from Napoli when Victor Osimhen was looking for a club that would sign him so that he could revive his career but Arsenal rejected him because they believed Gyokeres was a better striker and would score more goals than Victor Osimhen but now that Gyokeres couldn't give Arsenal what they were expecting from him they want to go for Victor Osimhen. If I were Victor Osimhen, I will never accept to play for Arsenal, I will rather stay at Galatasaray than playing for Arsenal and if I want to leave Galatasaray to another club I will sign for any Saudi club where I can earn a lot of money.
