And from what happened recently, the CAF president, country National Teams and officiating officers have learn a lot. Everyone will be maintaining their ground. Morocco would have been punished for many charges but CAF is only interested in the Senegal victory.

Yes it won't, African football has been made to be a laughing stock because we have some people that prefer their belly than doing the right thing so how do we expect everything to be the same again, who will punish morroco? Those that are in position to do that will they want to do it, the CAF president and other decisions makers are the reasons somethings went wrong, for that I wasn't expecting anything from them, a national team had their victory and they are bringing shit to deprive them of what is rightful theirs such a shame.

Come to think of it, is it all the countries in Europe that have won the UEFA Nations League that were the host of the competition the year they won it or what. The first leg of the CAF champions League is on the way today, as Moroccan side Far Rabat is taking on mamelodi sundown's of South Africa. Far Rabat has already taken the lead in this first half of the game in the 39th minute of the game through a penalty kick that was awarded to the home side. Clearly, every one in the world saw it clearly that Senegal won the African Cup of nations, but it's rather unfortunate that the cup was later taken from them and handed over to Morocco, this gives me some kind of impression that the CAF officials may have taken some kind of bribe from the Moroccan government and football team to ensure that the whole game play out in their favor and that they win the cup.

Unfortunately, what has happened has happened, and if we stay here and complain all day, it won't change anything, my only hope now is that CAF realises their mistake and make good amend come next AFCON, because we can afford to let such corruption continue in the AFCON, it will completely destroy after football, and we don't want that to happen.
So CAF will really need to make amends come next season and ensure that they organise and handle the Afcon in a manner that they can gain the trust of fans back.

I think one of the major problem we have is giving the job to the wrong people, take a look at Patrick motsepe the CAF president, you will notice that his a business man who own Mamelodi Sundowns FC of South Africa, when he became CAF president, he stepped down as the chairman and handed it over to his son. Most business men will always put business first before any other thing which is profits. He has his personal gains from all these and it's even more worrisome that his not a football person, I mean either being a coach or a professional player or a football administrator. Things of football should be handled by ex players, ex coaches or people who went to study football administration as a professional career, at least these sets of people understands and deals better when it comes to football related matters.

I agree with your stand here, CAF should be fair in judgement irrespective of who is hosting the AFCON or not. It is a tournament that should reflect the fairness and sports spirit in unity and fairness to unify the whole African race in sports competition and not making it one-sided or lopsided just to favour one team because they are always supporting the CAF and AFCON tournament. If such partiality continues, it would really cause a set back on African sports and would not be taken seriously anymore. If any host nation feels they deserve the trophy for sponsoring it, they should play to merit the trophy then and not wait for CAF to cheat on their behalf for them to get it.

If well maximised,.countries can gain some benefits from hosting a competition. It could attract investors and tourists. Some fans might like Morocco and want to come back on holiday. Some businessmen who came to the competition might identify a business opportunity and invest in the host nation.

We all know that sometimes the host spends more than the immediate financial gains. But CAF should not use Morocco's willingness to host the competition to cheat others. Hosting it is voluntary and shouldn't attract preferential treatment.

African countries don't want to spend money on building or on heavy maintenance and expansion of their stadium. Other reasons are political instability, no intention to divert security attention to anything else and so on.. Morocco although their saharian conflict is more stable than most of the other countries in the continent plus they already have a good infrastructure so less spending and more rewards. Obviously this will give them privilege on CAF and internationally.

Change to what? Is it to be less corrupt or remain corrupt? For CAF to push for Senegal to return the AFCON trophy, declaring Morocco the winner of the AFCON tournament, so many things have played out between CAF and Morocco. I like how Senegal refuses to release the AFCON trophy, taking CAF to the world court to defend themselves on how Morocco team should be the winner of AFCON after many months of declaring them that.

Sundown's really showed character and quality as they claim Africa elite club competition once again. One thing that I have noticed and is taking place in southern Africa teams is their level of investment in clubs football. Which they are doing right from the grass roots setting up academies and this is reflecting in the result that they are getting, look at Cape Verde and South Africa in the world cup.
