It's really frustrating that these teams would lose games after they have given the fans hope that it was a done deal. We have to keep repeating the same thing, which is that they tried their best. African teams left the competition as warriors. Apart from Algeria, all other African sides lost by just one goal in the knockout stage.

I know your plight over this   seems like you don't want Argentina to win the world cup this year and it is better that they got eliminated by ordinary Egypt and you also know quite alright that Egypt will not go far to win the world cup, so it is more preferred to you to see Egypt defeating Argentina just in order to make Argentina lose out of the tournament so that Egypt will also face another defeat ahead of it, but I don't know why you don't want Argentina to mass out at this because the deserve it with all integrity from their way of performance.

For the first time since the World Cup commenced, I gave the Argentina vs. Egypt match 100% of my attention. I was so engrossed in it because I wanted Egypt to win. The way our African teams have performed in this World Cup shows a lack of strategy. They run a lot in the first half, even after scoring a goal they continue running excessively while the opponent conserves their physicality and energy. In the second half, they no longer have the strength to run so much, so they stay more on the defensive, thinking that with many players in defense the victory will be guaranteed; they just need to waste time. But the opponent, with a lot of energy and composure, scores goals and we Africans lose. What hurts me is seeing all the African teams making the same mistakes.

There's something wrong with African teams which not being able to hold a lead past the 80th minute. We've witnessed teams senegal bottled it from 2-0 to Belgium at the round of 32. Now Egypt has done the same, I even thought the game was over, that Egypt has finally done the greatest upset in football history. Not knowing that they can't even keep that lead properly. I think what African teams need now is having a good physio or fitness coach. I understand the frustration, but we have to be careful about certain things we say.
Well, It's not about been cursed or not, the truth is, football in Africa is gradually getting better, unlike what we used to have around 8 years back. Remember, we used to be very good, but there was a decline at some point, and we're now seeing so many improvements lately. Check how they all performed in the group stages. I don't think African countries of 8 years back would make it this far.

With what happened to African teams in the World Cup knockout phase, I clearly understand why you assume African teams are under a spell because almost all the African teams that existed the World Cup in the knockout phase, it was the same mistake that kicked them out. But I want you to understand that voodoo doesn't help a team win a football match, because the Ghana witch doctor who claimed he stopped Harry Kane from scoring against his country Ghana by placing a curse on him would had use voodoo to stop Colombia from winning Ghana. The dying minutes of a football match is usually dangerous, and since all the African teams played against strong opponents in the knockout phase, they would had defended their lead and leave dragging ball possession at the dying minutes, so African teams were knocked out because they were carried away by their lead and left their defense wide open which made it possible for them to concede goals and lost the match they were supposed to win.

Even in the last World Cup, Morocco was the only team left that kept pushing until the semifinals before they got eliminated. I expected more African teams to make it far in this World Cup but unfortunately that’s not what we’re seeing today. All hopes now on Morocco, can they defeat France and make it to their best run in the World Cup, the semifinals this time around also? They’re a strong team, and I know France won’t underestimate them when they play against them on Thursday.

Infact when we saw the goal the hope of Egypt was uplifted and we all wanted Argentina to lose against Egypt because of messi so that everything will be balanced and now that Egypt is out because we did not even see the third goal coming and when we saw it I already know that it was finished and since the second African country have gone home and they would have tried and give us the honor to remove Argentina because how on earth did things turn out to be this way but very soon Argentina are going to meet there match and they will also been sent home very soon.

I won’t say they didn’t perform well in their matches, but they lack ability to maintain their win till the match ends, and that was just what affected most African countries in the knock out stage. Egypt were winning Argentina with 2 goal to 0 today, I don’t know what Egypt players were thinking towards the ending of the match, and they allowed Argentina score 3 goals.
