Hello everyone,

xHash.net admin here.
First, we found this topic by chance.
We are supporting around 20 coins and when we see big red letters on the main post of a coin, saying a mandatory update is coming, we update our wallet asap.
Only few developers bother to send notifications about their MANDATORY RED CAPS FORKS.
We don't have the time to read the whole topic and depend on random users saying "use the old chain" ...
We were on the wrong chain for 1 hour exactly, got a support mail from a miner that uses our pool saying we should rollback .. and so we did, after reading the drama.
We show the current protocol version, so all can see it and warn us.
As a result our liquid asset is -11k SMC , because we were paying those invalid low diff blocks with the donations we gathered for 2 months and coins generated from users that had left it in the pool for quite a while.  When those coins were over, our payouts stopped. Yes, inspiron those are the coins you got.
Our SMC pool was with 0% fee, donations only and we've been running SMC from the launch.
You made a choice to mine a coin that has network problems and the original dev left the boat, realizing there is a big risk investing your time and hash power in it.
Blame us as much as you want, but we do take our job seriously and this is not our fault.

Finally we are closing our SMC pool. Please remove us from all SMC lists. Thanks.

Best of luck
xHash Team

just made a quick update to the source. everyone use that one. compiling windows client now

Hey Ahmed, I think most people don't compile from source, but use the downloaded client, so any official release should have that included. I also think that source still has a bug in it that causes a wallet sync issue, because that's what I had to deal with when compiling yesterday (it came from the DigiShield update).

I scrambled to get a working client yesterday and created my own release forked from your Github repo, fixing that bug, the previous forking, and adding more checkpoints. I released a v1.3 client that is compatible with the current stable v1.1 up to block 180000, at which point the DigiShield defense would be activated and the subsidy reduced from 64 to 16 coins.

Here is my repo: https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin
Latest release with a tested Windows wallet: https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/1.3.0

I also posted about it on the Reddit thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/SmartCoin/comments/22es4v/new_fork_to_replace_the_missed_fork/

There are other issues I've found that could also use some work, but I think that this should get us through the near term.

Thanks for the updates, I was reading your pull request comments to figure out what was going on.

I have updated the OP with the current list of pools.  I have also noticed that our hashrate and difficulty have almost doubled.  If you are not mining Smartcoin you should probably start before the difficulty increases even more.  When Ahmed finishes his work smc will be taken off maintenance mode on Cryptsy so that deposits and withdrawals will be allowed again.  I would like to ask you not to dump your SMC at cheap prices.  I believe this coin has already hit bottom and is on its way back up.  The hash rate increase seems to indicate the same.

SMC has been in maintenance mode on Cryptsy since last week meaning no deposits or withdrawals.  This was due to an issue with our source code which some pools and exchanges use to build their clients.  Ahmed is fixing that now.  After that deposits and withdrawals at Cryptsy will continue as normal.  Me and Ahmed skyped with Cryptsy tech support and everyone came to a consensus.  Cryptsy is on the correct fork and their tech support guy was really helpful.

This is encouraging!! Let's set an aim to be at 1000 sat by the end of the week!

At the moment it is important to regain the trust of all the people who sold at low prices. Now is the righting moment to buy friends and save investment. At the mome prices are very reasonable Smiley

First will return all that abandoned and sold this great coins, will be joined by many new investors.

I did not leave the ship, even when it was sunk, I Did not sold one coin and will not soon do it. I believe that this is an investment in the future and not for 1-2 months.

Thanks to the team and the community!

The currrent wallet linked in the OP will work fine for now.  The fork is not until block 180k and the new windows wallet has not yet been compiled.

I know its crazy!  Is there a pool that is not listed in the OP or are these solo miners?  I see HashCows stopped mining SMC last week.  This is probably a good thing because most of the miners at HashCows autosell.
