Still, I think that gambling definitely helps to work harder, but the question is what number of players. It is a matter of the player's character and temperament, and if he wants to raise the stakes all the time and try something new, then at work he can also want so much more that he will try new professions until he finds something highly paid and exciting. It's going to be tough for a regular gambler to suddenly change his habits and work harder to fix all the problems that he made. The problem is mental, and it will need a big change in perspective to avoid gambling and pay the dues.

There are those who can pull themselves back together because they have a strong mentality that they need to be responsible to their family again. I think family responsibilities will help to put a gambler back on his normal habits. He will have a goal to change, and it will be stronger than going back to gambling.

Just want to share something I’ve observed in our community. I know a few people who are consistent gamblers, yet they also work really hard. It seems like gambling actually pushes them to hustle more, because they need money to fuel their gambling activities.

What’s the essence of working hard which at the end you will end up spending all what you have worked hard to get on gambling? Though, we human beings are the only animal that stumbles with the same obstacle and commit the same mistake twice or thrice without learning from it...

Also, you need to keep in mind there is much advertisement out there which encourages gamblers not to give up on their dreams of becoming rich from their good luck, that is why we see casinos and bookies highlighting all their lucky winners and you see no mention of those who lose money, that also influences on those who are not aware on marketing tactics used by casinos and bookies to keep their volume of bets/wagering high through years.

Knowing the risk that is involved with gambling, I personally think it foolish for a person to go out there, work very hard to earn money only for the purpose of gambling, it makes no sense to me at all because what they spent like 15 to 30 days to make as money can vanish within a minute or two when they pour all of it into gambling.

I think gambling is not something that should be forced or coerced on anyone. If you consider gambling as just a way to make money it will lead you to sadness and mental anxiety. The way the OP explained it, it is pretty clear that gamblers who do this kind of thing are basically addicted to gambling, so there is nothing special to say about them.

And I agree with you that it is absolutely foolish to waste a whole month's hard-earned money on gambling. Personally, I think that a person should not allocate more than 5% of their monthly income for gambling. Rather, I always try to keep it below 5%, which does not affect my financial situation. So from this perspective, there is no way that I am working hard to generate money for gambling.

When a gambler starts gambling not with the intention of losing but only with the intention of winning, then the entertainment aspect is lost because the gambler can never profit from gambling. When it is advised to take it as entertainment, many people consider it a very easy platform to earn money. The message that the OP has given here to gamblers to be hardworking through gambling, but it does not have logic. Many people can collect gambling money by working hard through gambling but in reality, nothing like this was found among gamblers.
