I totally agree with you, I know most people will say that the killing in Nigeria is not about religion, then is about what exactly? Because I don’t understand how they’re only killing and kidnapping Christian’s, the worst part of it is that the federal government isn’t saying or doing anything because they ain’t the victim, because if they’re, they will surely do something about it, I hope this new year, our government will wake up to do something and stop the killing in our country because it’s too much.

The insecurity is not going to be resolved because this is what the government is using to make money for themselves and that has become a quick way to make money from the insecurity in the state. The current government is very corrupt and they will always look for way to steal money from the government purse into their own different accounts.

Is after this leadership regime we can expect the retaliation of the government against insecurity because when all the people in power are using it to allocate money and the same time use all the allocation on themselves will be leaving office as they will be completing next year, so perhaps the new ones would like to keep peace in the country before they can have a good governance, so until this regime is completed fighting insecurity remains a skeptical speech because a sponsor will definitely find a way to protect what they're sponsoring, if they return all the money they spend on insecurity they would solve a problem of 40% population in Nigeria.

The masses are not yet ready for any kind of change that will liberate the country. So am wondering how the revolution will even take place. Once the masses are ready for change , I believe the leaders can't stop it. However, with the kind of masses we have , that value ethnicity and religious more than anything it will be bad for there to be revolution.
What we need in Nigeria is a president that will have the interest of the masses at heart and this will only be achievable if the citizens are allowed to choose there leaders by themselves.

Wetin you talk here make sense, see ba, our government no care, this set of people in power now will come tomorrow when they are out office to criticize the given in power then, na there pattern be that, them no go remember the shit wey them don cause already, I agree with you that we are far from corruption stopping in this country because we have people whose intention has always been to loot money at any given opportunity, it is bad that the masses are helpless, if you talk they will give you allegations to drag you down, in good political settings, some people that are governing us, is not supposed to be in power, but we are in a country where elections rigging is been celebrated than voting, so what do we look out for.

Changes cdn not happen now in the country without the people coming out in mass to say no to the injustice system that is happening in the country, the politicians are looting funds meant for the development of the nation and the citizens that are above 200 million people still have more than 80 % of the people still hungry with the hope of not getting good food tomorrow. The government will always want we the citizens to feel bad and stay hungry but we have to stand up and fight so that we will not be dying of hunger when they are stealing our nation cake for themselves and their generation to come.

No doubt the killing and adoption of people of same ethnicity and religion is pure genocide, just that our government seem to be silent because of things that will seem unknown to the citizens because their actions is not enough defending the action of killing and kidnapping with tag of Herder clashes, and all sort of excuses don't merit a clear understanding of the whole scenario, the truth remain that certain ethnic is been wipe out to worsen the situation occupying those land after killing them, there will no be any other definition of the happening than been considered genocide.

What the people need now is revolution and that is what will help the country to become better and more successful than what we are seeing now.

Government was not supposed to do any allocation on insecurity since I believe they already have a military allocation because the importance of those allocation they made to there arm forces is to use those things that's acquired by the allocation to fight insecurity and any terrorist or bandits in the country but I wonder what the insecurity allocation is use for again because they cannot use it for what the military has already gotten or even employing another group of people to help fight the insecurity so is obvious those money is not even buying anything to stop the insecurity so there is no essence of the allocation.

Don't tell me that you don't know that corruption is everywhere and the politicians are using different excuses to embezzle money that supposed to be used for something else that will alleviate poverty and help creativity while building industries.
The government can not be trusted as this time and we need to make sure that we don't fall victim to these people when they needed us during voting. If the people do not fight against these problems, the next generation will suffer it.

The Nigerian people are fools to think their government gives a damn about them. Most politicans work for globalist interests who wish to turn their country into a social experiment. Remember this as you are told your biometric ID , cashless payment regime and surveilled communications are "to protect you from the terrorists". There are regimes all across the world funding these Jihadists and marxists in order to destroy western democracies and freedoms.

Be thankful the United States now has your back as you stand against both sides of this great oppressor.

Religious leaders are to be mindful of what they preach, not to mislead others and cause for terrorism, we are not expected to go into some actions when the actual plan for them are to protect the life and property of the people whom we represent, most of these insurgencies and attacks were majorly being sponsored by the religion fanatics and oppositions to a particular government in power.

So we have to wait till the end of this tenure before expecting peace knowing fully well that with what is currently on ground, we are going into a one party state which directly means that there is no way next tenure will not still comprise of at least 80% of the people that are still sitting in position of authority while this is going on.

Even if on the most positive note their comes a change of government, for all we have been used to, they might just forget about the security challenge and focus on less pressing needs as we have always seen them do. in the end, if we want a thorough end to both the Christian genocide in Nigeria and the increasing kidnapping and killing that is happening in Nigeria, it has to be taken as a matter that demands emergency response from the world body if not, the Nigerian politician will keep joking with peoples life while the case worsen as the day goes by.

Media no longer broadcasts the truth. They are nurtured by powerful individuals or the state. So what is true and what is false should be reviewed first. I will not support the killing of people of any religion. All people have the right to live. Everyone has the right to practice their religion. But if such a massacre is carried out due to a political issue, then how will it be remedied? The Nigerian government should not be unfairly blamed.

The political practices of powerful countries have reached such a bad level that it is unthinkable. The recent attack on Venezuela is a big proof of this. The president was kidnapped there by attacking in the dead of night without any warning, which is an illegal step. Other countries of the world see it as terrorism, some consider it an abuse of power. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also condemned such acts. If everything is done by force, then there is no use in having so many laws and regulations.

Why some leaders like to play politics with people life. This is purely Christians genocide because Christians will be the one to raise more concern than other region. If truly government is not playing politics with people life it will not take government two months to eliminate those blood socker.

The rate of Christian killings in Nigeria is becoming so alarming. Even the so called our leaders are folding their hands and watch people died on daily basis, I believe the reason why they are keeping adamant to this ugly situation is because none of their families have involves in this urgly situation in Nigeria.

https://orfa.africa/wp/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/26082024-ORFA-4-YEARS-REPORT.pdf

^^^published by The Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa, found more than 11,000 incidents of extreme violence from October 2019 through September of 2023. The violence left 55,910 people dead in 9,970 deadly attacks — as well as 21,621 people abducted in 2,705 attacks.

The total number includes civilian deaths, terror group deaths, and Nigerian Armed Forces deaths. Of the total deaths, 30,880 were civilians.

Of the civilians, at least 16,769 Christians were killed, 6,235 Muslims were killed and 154 adherents of traditional African religions were killed. The religions of 7,722 victims are unknown.

The proportional loss for Christians, however, was much higher in the states where the attacks occurred. In terms of state populations, the report found that Christians were 6.5 times more likely to be killed in the violence. Similarly, when accounting for state populations, Christians were 5.1 times more likely to be victims of abduction.

“Millions of people are left undefended,” Frans Vierhout, a senior analyst at The Observatory of Religious Freedom in Africa, said in a statement.

“For years, we’ve heard of calls for help being ignored, as terrorists attack vulnerable communities,” he added. “Now the data tells its own story.”

According to the report, 81% of civilian killings were land-based community attacks. About 42% of those killings were carried out by armed Fulani herdsmen, which the researchers said invaded small Christian farming settlements to kill, rape, abduct and burn homes.

Fulani herdsmen, who are Sunni Muslim, killed at least 9,153 Christian civilians and at least 1,473 Muslim civilians in community attacks, according to the data. The religion of at least 1,267 victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks is unknown.

About 41% of the land-based community attacks came from a variety of groups, which the report categorizes as “other terrorist groups.” However, the report states that the “other” category likely “consists of different groups of ‘Fulani bandits’ who are as much part of the Fulani Ethnic Militia… as the Armed Fulani Herdsmen.”

The “other” terrorist groups are responsible for 10,274 killings in land-based community attacks, which include at least 3,804 Christians and 2,919 Muslims. The religion of about 3,503 victims is unknown.

At least 78 people killed by Fulani herdsmen and “other terrorist group” attacks adhered to traditional African religions.

“Fulani Ethnic Militia are targeting Christian populations, while Muslims also suffer severely at their hands,” the Rev. Gideon Para-Mallam, another analyst for The Observatory of Religious Freedom in Africa, said in a statement.

“Kidnappers work to Islamist goals,” he added. “Where young women are kidnapped, tortured, and sexually violated, hope for normal married life, and family, may vanish.”

Islamist groups Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province carried out about 11% of the community attacks. Boko Haram killed at least 851 Christian civilians and 491 Muslims in such attacks, while the religions of 609 victims are unknown. The Islamic State killed at least 265 Christians and 127 Muslims, while the religion of 296 victims areunknown.

Nina Shea, the director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, told CNA that “the numbers killed and abducted are staggering and the documentation is now irrefutable.”

“Fulani militants are waging a religious war, a jihad, against undefended Christian farming communities in large swaths of Nigeria,” she argued. “Equally undeniable and shocking is the fact that the Nigerian government has idly watched and tolerated these relentless attacks over many years. The goal of the militants to eradicate the Christian presence by murder, forcible conversion to Islam, and driving them out of their homeland appears to be shared by the government in Abuja [the capital of Nigeria] or else it would take action.”

Shea criticized the United States Department of State (DOS) for its repeated refusal to designate Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern,” a watchlist of countries responsible for severe violations of religious freedom.

Nigeria was first included on the list in 2020, the final year of former President Donald Trump’s administration. However, it was removed in 2021, during the first year of President Joe Biden’s administration. The DOS report blamed the Nigerian violence on “intercommunal clashes” and a competition for resources.

Are you implying those people who are getting killed are murdered because they are being vocal about corruption or the situation in Nigeria as a whole?
Because it would also imply there are also Muslims who are endangered because of their political stand on how their province is being handled by the federal or central government.
Also, why would mainly christians denounce whatever is happening in Nigeria, when there is a an important Muslim population in Nigeria?

For me I feel everything that's happening in my country today is all politics related and the government themselves started and engineered the whole event and to make this clear the killing before now were also Muslim related but that was when the government in charge was Christian based religion but now the whole tides have changed and these terrorist are killing the Christians at a large numbers and they are sponsored by even the so called leaders

I totally agree with you, I know most people will say that the killing in Nigeria is not about religion, then is about what exactly? Because I don’t understand how they’re only killing and kidnapping Christian’s, the worst part of it is that the federal government isn’t saying or doing anything because they ain’t the victim, because if they’re, they will surely do something about it, I hope this new year, our government will wake up to do something and stop the killing in our country because it’s too much.
what’s happening in Nigeria is not any Christain genocide but the failure of a system that has been starved and underrepresented for a long period of time. The security sector of the country has been underfunded in real times yet a lot of funds have been allocated there yet you have serious incidents such as security personnels being starved of their salaries and wages and being starved of weapons too. As a soldier protecting the life of the entire nation with your life put at absolute risk, imagine you being paid a peanut for such when you know that at the same time your enemies which is the bandits and the politicians are enjoying more money and freedom than you. That aside, what about the corruption that is going on in the military where funds made for ammunitions are stolen and diverted to their individual pockets and families of deceased military officers left under poverty and so many compounding issues which has led to the condition we’ve found ourselves today where to be a terrorist is far more lucrative, guaranteed and protective than those working and serving th country with their last breathe and you are telling why narratives like this and more won’t play out.
