I live in the Southern part of Nigeria, far from the violence-prone Northern region, but I also have information about the insecurity in that area. From what I know, both Christians and Muslims are suffering from the attacks of these Jihadists. Both Mosques and Churches have been attacked and worshippers murdered in cold blood.

From the sophisticated weapons that these bandits parade, it is obvious that they have foreign sponsors. It is on record that a lawmaker in the US Congress made it clear that the US is using the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to sponsor terrorist activities in Nigeria. My conclusion is that both Christians and Muslims are victims of these terrorists because these killers don't belong to any religion. They are radicalised terrorists hiding under the Islamic religion.

Interesting take. The point about both religions being targeted is often missed in international headlines. However, the claim about USAID sponsoring terrorists is a very specific allegation from a U.S. subcommittee hearing in Feb 2025 that is still highly contested. We need to see the receipts before concluding it's official U.S. policy to fund the same groups they are officially fighting.

One of the reasons why i believe that report was when Goodluck Jonathan the former President was fighting insurgency and Boko Haram during the Obama Administration, the US didn't want to sell him weapons to combat them and were citing human right abuses against the terrorists, Can you imagine such stupidity. I am 100% certain that they wanted Goodluck Jonathan government to become unpopular so that they can lost the elections.

However, anti-democratic actions will cause you to lose support in the world public opinion. And if you try to go outside democratic methods, they will come to bring you democracy, even without you calling them. This is their most well-known method of occupation. Those US soldiers in the Northern part of Nigeria are currently awaiting orders to attack and invade Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali.

What Support did we get when we lose youths having free and fair protest against police brutality likewise endsars, we literally got nothing, thousands where shot dead and we still have friends locked up in prison because they're protesting for basic amenities and human rights to be met by political representatives voted into power. Ain't that exhausting?! Truthfully, we should dump democracy here in Nigeria and Africa. We should only have African solutions for African problems. Democracy only benefits the colonial masters while citizens perish, how long do we continue this way?! The us refusal to assist the former president Goodluck Ebele Johnathan was actually as a result of some the cabals in Nigeria that was against the administration of Goodluck Johnathan. Most of this cabals are the one sponsoring terrorist operations throughout the Northern part of the country. Therefore Obama refusal to sell weapons to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in other to combat terrorism was actually deliberate act to worsen insecurity and his administration.

The government can deny it but it's real Christians are been killed every day in Nigeria, because they bandits and terrorists are all Muslims extremists going around killing innocent citizens and kidnapping people for ransom and the government are quite about it.

The US army are on ground yet is getting worse everyday, there's no day they don't kill thousands of people in Nigeria, no where is safe again in this country not even your house, the soldiers are dying everyday too because the government has compromised the war against terrorism, the government are the one paying ransom for the bandits instead of killing them all. It's a terrible situation in Nigeria and we seek for international help.
