Bitcoin is now more popular compare to 2017, many who called bitcoin a scam have no more reason to keep saying so even when they failed to do their own research, they don't have a reason to call it a scam anymore, even President Trump is now all over it.

Which makes me believe that gone are those days where you are actually helping to create awareness by hosting some gathering or visiting a local school nearby to teach about Bitcoin and the blockchain.

I did this few times in the past but I had more bad experience than good, I ended up creating more enemies for myself than I hoped for, my job was quit easy but my fellow country men and women have their own ways of digesting words and lessons.

Today I have people who don't talk to me anymore and I believe the fault was never mine, I did my part very well, I warned them about software wallets and how they can consider electrum for a time being.

Three of them got their wallet compromised, one lost his bitcoin to a wrong address, I guess clipboard hijacking, these aren't just people, they are friends and family member, but there is one who did all the necessary things and still a holder till date, I wish I can turn back the hands of time and never sit anyone down to teach them anything.

I look like super hero because Trump is supporting Bitcoin, if kamala won the election and the news was Bitcoin had to go, they would have come for me because it looks like they are waiting for such day to come.

What about you? Any regrets?

It's very unfair for the people you're trying to help out of love for them to be financially free turn their backs on you and make you their enemies. Well everyone has their reasons but I must say it's ignorance. Just like my secondary school days whereby anything I come across that says Bitcoin or crypto is assumed as a scam because so many mining platforms where introduced to me by then , mining from telegram bot, discord also they all ended up false so I will say I have not gotten the right ideas and ignorance of the crypto market . But today you see crypto such as Bitcoin , blockchain analysis his been teach online even with YouTube free cryptocurrency courses could get you started.

What I personally think is that if I teach someone something, I must explain to them both the good and the bad sides of it. Now it depends on how they apply it later and I have never regretted it. Because I know that I have not influenced them in the wrong way. I have explained the good and the bad sides to those who have asked me and then left the rest to them and as far as I know, none of the people I know who have invested have regretted it.

What's there to regret? You played a major role in the adoption of the worlds greatest invention and technology. You ought to be proud of yourself. Bitcoin is history the world has got to know one or two about it. Thanks to satoshi we all appreciate his effort to put an end to governments strict system.

Though in the world today, people have to value their privacy due to some security issues. The world is filled with people who wish to eat from places they didn't cook.

Yeah I regret I told some friends about it. They ended up buying in full hype every bull run & selling in panic every bear run. I have a few examples of people doing this cycle like at least 20 times before they gave up & called it a scam lol. Some people just aren’t made to make money Cheesy
What you mean by every bull and every bear run, they are that stupid sorry if it feels a little offensive, but a person can only be tricked one even if you tried to scam them or lose their money they should not be doing this every time haha.

Anyway they should stop then if that's what they are doing really.

I have introduced a lot of people and none of them did this, I guided them in a way that later they won't blame me you could do the same just by clearing things out first.

Yea you are right, alot of people trying to introduce bitcoin to their friends or well wishers back in the days got embarrassed because they felt bitcoin was a scam and they don't want to hear about it, since they have been involved in alot of Ponzi scams, so their trust has been chartered and don't even know who to trust anymore, because this was done to them by close relatives, not an outsider.

I was also a victim of such embarrassment severally, even till now they still believes bitcoin is going to crash mainly now that the price is dropping daily, so I rest my case and watch, but still trying my best for those that are ready to listen and accept that Bitcoin is real and has come to stay. The regrets are so much but life goes on , and for the wide spreading of bitcoin globally I still  keep trying

I don't have any regrets because they are all doing well for themselves and none has compromised their wallets yet which also gladdens me.

This is also my experience. I never regret educating or introducing Bitcoin to close friends especially when they succeed and improve their lives which is a source of pride for me.

However, before introducing Bitcoin to friends, I first educate them about the risks and proper wallet security measures. This is key to avoiding guilt about introducing Bitcoin to others. Many people introduce Bitcoin to people, but they only explain the benefits without understanding the risks. Ultimately their friends suffer losses and blame us, ultimately regretting introducing Bitcoin. However if we introduce Bitcoin correctly and explain the risks when they experience losses they won't blame us because they fully understand the consequences of their own decisions.

I also have plenty of stories about my relationships with people I know about cryptocurrency, but they're all boring: I have friends who laughed when my friend and I learned about cryptocurrency and invested our first savings in mining rigs and Bitcoin. I have stories of people asking me to talk about cryptocurrency after the ICO boom, but I told them I needed to figure it out myself because I didn't want to be a financial advisor who could easily be blamed later. I don't need that. It's much more convenient to communicate here. What do I regret? I won't whine about Fomo, everything is fine. Let's move on.

Haaa, 😅 fortunately Trump won as US president, otherwise you would be finished.
That's the experience of introducing Bitcoin to ordinary people, we become targets for their losses.

I have also introduced Bitcoin to my friends, but I first said negative things rather than positive things, but with the additional information they get, they are now successful crypto players in trading, some of the people I introduce have an average positive impact.

Several occasions I have been closed to friends who seek to know, how I am striving with life challenges and dream of having valuable asset, when I told them about Bitcoin or crypto, many will laugh that I am guilibe with online stuff, I keep off from some and also stick to those who show interest, today most of the guys who shows interest with their dedication are even doing better than me with their investment in Bitcoin and crypto, and have not regret over it the people full of regret is those that called me guilibe and refused to search or make use of information. No body that is introduced in the Bitcoin or crypto who dedicated it's time in seeking information and investing wisely that will regret it they are always full of positive results.

In my opinion, as an individual in the crypto industry, I don't think about becoming a hero just by sharing Bitcoin with my acquaintances—and in the end, now the Bitcoin price is much higher than the time I shared it with my other friends and relatives.

Because I think I really have no obligation to share with other people what I know about Bitcoin. If someone asks, that's when I'll answer with a simple explanation, because I've shared Bitcoin with other acquaintances before, but most of those I told didn't listen anyway. So now, I've decided it's better to just stay quiet and keep the knowledge
I have about Bitcoin to myself.

Everyone has his or her own why they react to certain things everyone must not have thesame mindset alot of people are very difficult to deal with while some are easy going you really can't blame them. Most people react to what they have been through in the past making alot of people developing trust issues even for things that are legit making them miss out of good things today we leave in a world where people easily get scammed and everyone is careful not to fall into the hands of scammers you don't have to feel regrets introducing Bitcoin to people even if they refuse to learn

I'm surprised how often highly educated people, techies, are so negatively biased toward the world of cryptocurrency. Well, it's their choice, but isn't it easier for them to understand blockchain and Bitcoin technology? It's funny when good programmers tell me that Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme and that they would never invest in it. Of course, I don't argue with them; I don't need to, but I'm much more accustomed to seeing people with humanities backgrounds, who typically strive to understand the workings of the world, but when very smart people do this, it's unusual. Well, it's everyone's choice; I just don't think you can limit your worldview with a foggy vision.

Bitcoin is just advertising itself now, nobody is advertising Bitcoin and that's what we are suppose to know about Bitcoin, why more people is coming to Bitcoin is the awareness it has created before...

And people who invest in Bitcoin and make a profit is now testifying and also give kudos to Bitcoin investment and that's why so many people is interested for Bitcoin investment

I haven't see anyone who is been introduced in bitcoin that is having a regret for knowing Bitcoin, Except it's someone who didn't understand the procedures of Bitcoin and invest during the period Bitcoin price crashes in the market, And such people that lose for their first investing in bitcoin, they are the one that speaks evil about Bitcoin.

When I went to give some ideas about Bitcoin to some of my acquaintances in 2020, some people ridiculed me because they thought Bitcoin was a scam project. It would disappear in a short time. But as time passes, Bitcoin is getting more and more prosperous. Seeing this, there will definitely be some regret in everyone. Currently, even the President of America loves Bitcoin, which is why everyone who missed the opportunity in the past is regretting. This regret may increase in the future.

I don't have any regret about this. For years, I explained Bitcoin to people, how it would make life easier and how it would change traditional finance. Most of the people I talked to came back years later saying they wished they had taken what I said more seriously, so they're usually the ones who ended up regretting it.
I also had similar experience. When some Ponzi schemes was introduced in my country. Many people decided to invest in it. I told some of my relatives and friends that they should invest in Bitcoin. But their excuse was that making a profit from Bitcoin would take a longer period.  Many of them are regretting their actions now because they lost money in those schemes. When Bitcoin went above $120k one of them met me and was lamenting how he missed an uncommon opportunity.

But their excuse was that making a profit from Bitcoin would take a longer period.  Many of them are regretting their actions now because they lost money in those schemes. When Bitcoin went above $120k one of them met me and was lamenting how he missed an uncommon opportunity.
Maybe you just didn't explain it well, imagine a ponzi networking can do the marketing stuff, they can fomo them investing to that ponzi, so it means that you can also do that backed by some good narrative like digital gold and of course the technology behind it which is blockchain. Sometimes it's always up to us how we explain it to them, if we truly understand its potential, we explain it to them with more care, informative, convincing and effort. You know the reason why we're in this crypto space, we know the potential and how things work, of course explaining those could drag them into crypto. Those who are in the ponzi they're backed by their motivation to earn money and of course gain referrals, and that's why they learn how to convince a person because there's a profit waiting for them, they know the potential of earning a money. But yeah, there are people that can't comprehend what we're saying about BTC and that's why they aren't interested.

I did introduced some of my friends into bitcoin and I also took my time to educate them of the risks, precautions and security measures they needed to take inorder to keep their coin safe. I don't have any regrets because they are all doing well for themselves and none has compromised their wallets yet which also gladdens me.

There is this trend I see with close friend that doesn't buy Bitcoin or get interest in anything Bitcoin related. They will be the first to disturb me they want to buy Bitcoin, they want to buy Bitcoin if there is any advice I can give them. I'm very careful with my answers, it's up to them if they want to buy, I don't persuade them because I see no reason why they don't have interest in bear market, if they have bought when the price was in all time high they will come back and disturb me how they bought at the top.

Look at the market for instance, we have been in decline since October, perfect time to buy Bitcoin but they wouldn't show any interest now until they see Bitcoin in $500k in the next bull run and they will now be disturbing me with all sort of questions how to do but this and when to buy Bitcoin.

To be honest, I never tried to change anyone’s opinion about bitcoin. I know a few people who used to be very skeptical, but now they have clearly changed their minds. If someone asks for my opinion, I will try to share my point of view, but I always leave the decision about buying bitcoin to them. Let them make their own choice because it is an investment, and when it comes to money, the decision must be made independently. I remember when I first heard about bitcoin when it cost $250, but at that time I did not believe what I was told about it, and I still remember that.

I told some of my employees and customers about bitcoin a few years ago when the price was under $30K.
I told them I have been buying like crazy since it dropped to $16K. I sold my business early last year and now retired.

I don't know if they ever took my advice or just thought I was crazy haha.
