Regarding the OP's discussion, I honestly agree with @Spandra_hakeem that losing is far worse than winning. Rationally, even though a winning streak can have negative consequences, such as greed, they still make money initially, so it's less painful, or at least puts a smile on their face.

Losing streaks hit differently and they really mess with both your emotions and your confidence it’s not just about the money you lose it’s the frustration of seeing effort time and hope all go down the drain at once and like you said that kind of loss leaves deep marks on a person’s mind you start doubting yourself every time you place a bet again even when the odds look good.
