I think people might be uncertain about the requirements. The first time they did the contest, I assumed you needed to complete the swap for your entry to count. It wasn’t until I read through the comments that I found out it wasn’t necessary.
I guess that's possible. I feel like it's quite common to see people misread things or not read them at all. Not sure if it's just a biased experience of mine or what. I'd assume people who actually use a service like this are quite meticulous, at least when it comes to new services. I guess that's why scammers still carry out phishing attacks nowadays, since some people just aren't careful enough.
I also confess that, even with X slots available for the raffle, I end up not choosing a slot for N reasons or I leave it for later and end up forgetting

even though there are several raffles from other brands.
This is a good thing, because before all the slots would be empty in a few hours, now they remain available for days, giving more interested people a chance to participate.
Regarding phishing, unfortunately it's true, there are still people making money dishonestly by deceiving people who are too naive or inattentive.
