Where you are born or who gave birth to you will not determine your future bro. There are some people that where born in the poor family and they are doing well today, because they did not relax on anybody than  to relax on their hand work or skills.you can be in the city and be poor but if you plan your life well you will make progress either in the village or city.

I agree with you to an extent that we have the power to determine our future if we work very hard in making things better, but your environment have a major role to play in the way you sees life because their are so many things we in Africa pray to have, which is a normal thing the government of most developed nations has already provided for their citizens. They don't have to pray for it, because the tax they pays is already in good use, unlike most countries in Africa where we pray for good health care services and jobs are limited.
So if you find yourself in a very good country that the system are working, you should be grateful because it's the prayer point of most lads since it has a big role to play in the quality of life you are going to live.

How about our lives and wellbeing if we only consider job opportunities and business ideas when moving to another country? Don’t you know that most places where there are a lot of industries don’t usually have healthy environments? There will environmental pollution, noise or sound pollution in the society which are mostly caused by the industrial wastes, emissions and so on and the release of harmful gases to the earth do cause air pollution and if the air is polluted there will be outbreaks of a lot of diseases which will affect our lives.

Therefore, when choosing where to live your life, make sure you consider your health first before you consider other things because safety first.

Lagos in Nigeria is what it is today because of this mindset, and the individual citizens should not be blamed, since the city is a hub of hustle with more factories, companies, and job opportunities. This activity leads to constant population growth in the city, which increases noise and other environmental pollution, and also causes socio-economical conflicts between tribes, since everyone is gathered in one geographical area.

Aside from that, my question is: does where a person lives actually dictate their life? I’ve noticed that a person’s roots and background can sometimes limit their options, yet many have proven otherwise. From my observation, even those from humble beginnings who put in consistent effort can achieve success.

In a country like Nigeria, or else you’re born with a golden spoon or have family connections, you’ll understand that nothing comes easy. What truly matters is the grind, the hustle, consistency, and discipline.

This is not entirely true but you have a point, the environment you live in plays a huge role in the quality of life you have and by that I mean your circle, opportunities and things you are exposed but the reason why I said it isn't entirely true is because a person can live in a messed up environment and still have an organized life, it is all a matter of personality and choice of life. some people don't allow their environment to influence them negatively. it is not a matter of where you are right now, the most important thing is having a healthy mindset

If you want to grow, you must first examine your habits, your daily choices, and most importantly, your mindset. Because these are the foundations of who you become. Personal growth requires honesty with yourself, it's also requires the courage to admit your weaknesses, and the determination to work on them in order to be the best version of yourself instead of making excuses. In order to improve your life you must develop better habits, set clear and meaningful goals and choosing actions that that align with the future you desire. As far as I know, one may only be disadvantaged by a particular environment or geographical location is he allows it. Yes I know that that there are some areas that naturally have this negative energy and associating and blending with the environment automatically mean tapping from such energy, but the truth remains, it’s still your choice to decide whether or not to associate or blend with such environment or tap from such energy.

Someone born into a disadvantaged environment with little education still has a chance to improve their life and become successful. But we must also be realistic. If the benchmark for success is becoming one of the richest people in the country, I think many factors must be met, such as luck and having a network of wealthy people. But if you want to escape poverty, improve your economy, and live with a decent salary, I think people in poor environments still have a chance. I believe that your environment can determine your life, but it doesn't set fixed limits on your life.

To be inspired by others who were able to leave, it's helpful to be open to new experiences from childhood and have a relative or friend who, despite difficult circumstances, decided to move to a more successful, larger city and was able to stay there. This is literally a story from my own life, because my cousin was always a smart guy and served as a role model for me and my brothers.
He came from a very poor family but was never afraid of challenges, and while other kids ran around and played football during their school years, he understood electrical engineering and learned to fix things.
Thanks to this, he was able to make it to the big city and continues to live like that to this day. His example inspired me.

This perspective captures both the positive (hope) and negative (realism) sides of life. People do not start off life with the same opportunities and it is a fact that becoming extremely wealthy usually relies on things such as timing, networking, and luck as well. But, there are plenty of ways to develop your situation when you come from a poor background. If you have determination, you educate yourself, and you make wise decisions you are likely to advance your situation to create somewhat of an environment that allows you to achieve either a stable, decent living, or eventually to escape from poverty to create an even better one for yourself. Escaping from poverty and becoming financially independent is also something that qualifies as a personal success story. Although some people start off with an environment that has an enormous impact on their lives, it does not determine their ability to achieve greatness in the future.

I understand that a lot times your environment have so much effects on your well being both positively and negatively but it certainly don't dictates your life cause every individual owns their lives but often times due to environmental factors one can be periodically altered and thus have a change of self. Good point, when you already point things out and manage to adjust for the betterment chances tog grow and be more successful can be acheived, from that view and perspectives you'll be able to manifest and change the directions of your future, though it's not easy but doable if your determination is pure and you are always keen in succedding and change your future for the better outcome and not being stuck with how the usual things happened around.

I agree with you to some extent, surely our environment can influence us most times. But this is not basically for everyone but for those that would want to be influenced, because I have seen a lot of people progressing but looking at the background they came from you won't even believe they would grow to that extent. So it's more about decision if you feel that the environment you're coming from is not conducive for you of course you can get up to make a move this way you would never remain the same.

it is all about allowing yourself to get influenced, although this is almost impossible to avoid based on what you are always exposed to constantly, this can affect your mental construct..it is not easy to actually avoid getting influenced by your environment but if your mind is disciplined enough that's something that is very possible to achieve..where you are doesn't determine how far you can get

Kinda true. The place we live in and grow does affect our life and our lifestyle.
Moving to the city is what most people decide especially when they gotta start working.
They need to find a job and that's difficult in small towns. So that is what many of us look for when moving to a city.
We have to adapt to the changes and improve our skills in our job to sustain longer in the city.
The question should be, where would you like to stay when you are retired from your job, would you choose the busy city or opt for a peaceful town.
