The most common reason is always a big, good win When a player experiences this , their mind thinks they should and deserve things like this all the time, but that's not the problem Because when this happens , the person can develop a bad mindset, and a great addiction can arise from a good win. If they lose,  the thought will indicate that they can and should keep trying.

Yes, it's true that big win is one of those factors that might trigger gambling addiction on an individual who is just starting and unfortunately got lucky, as they can think if only they keep gambling, they have a tendency that such luck might arise ago, making them win. Forgetting it was a game of luck. And as such, another factor that contributes to the reason why some people still fall victim to gambling is greed, and lack of financial contentment.  Because when an individual is greedy and lacks contentment and just wants to get rich quick overnight without following the due process, addiction is what happens.

You made a valid point. It is better to lose than to win in a big way at the initial stage, as it forms unrealistic expectations. Having tasted such a success, a gamer starts believing that he/she can be a lucky winner again should he/she continue gambling without paying attention to the contribution of the pure luck. This attitude usually results in pursuit of losses. Addiction is also driven by greed and financial dissatisfaction because most of the individuals are viewing gambling as a way of quick money instead of entertainment, which ultimately leads to bad choices and eventual hiccups.

I agree with the sentiments expressed here. A large initial victory usually creates a deadly illusion of control and players think that they can keep repeating the wins provided they keep playing. Their losses at the time feel only temporary and the memory of the said win makes a person keep on gambling. This is aggravated by greed and deprivation of financial satisfaction because individuals pursue easy money at the expense of the regular salary. However, as time passes, gambling becomes a stress as an entertainer, poor decision maker, emotional stressor, and even an addict. Prevention is achieved through awareness and discipline.

There is no reason that can be a justification for addiction in gambling, so we should know what we are doing and also not fool our personal self, playing can be controlled by us, but its unfortunate that many could not achieve this by any means, instead they play as if everything is alright, not taking measures to ensure that they are in the best position to monitor how things should be done or not.
And this is the biggest weakness, in most gamblers it becomes a big weakness for them, they do not really understand what decision to make in a given situation. We are supposed to have the power to control the game, but in reality it is not in our hands, we make decisions based on emotions, and because of the inability to control these emotions, we make wrong decisions. That is why to control losses, we must first learn to control ourselves, a person who cannot check his mental state can never make the right decision. When we can make realistic decisions according to financial, mental and situational conditions, then everything will be under our control.
Yes oo, Exactly, most losses do not even come from the game, it normally comes from the player..  If gamblers and not in control and emotions comes, naturally logic will disappears.. You think you are in control, but you are just reacting to your fear or greed..
If you can not read your own mental state and know when to stop, then it will be really really hard to help yourself.. Control yourself first, then decide based on your money, your mindset, and the situation on ground. That is the only control anyone has..

Addictions are just too bad, and any gambler thinking that gambling is an escape route from poverty and even borrows or still money just to gamble is an addict
You're right. When it comes to borrowing money from other people, it can already be considered an addiction, which will definitely backfire on the gambler. I borrowed from anyone who could lend me money. The list was quite extensive. People started looking at me suspiciously. Then they discovered I was a compulsive gambler who thought only of gambling. He didn't notice or see anything but the slots.

There are many reasons why gambling addiction happens. Some of them come from personal issues, others are shaped by the environment a person lives in. So it’s never just one cause, but a mix of different factors. On top of that, gambling can give the brain a positive feeling, especially when someone is trying to escape from real life for a while

While there’s also a possibility of actually multiplying the money borrowed, it’s crucial to understand that this isn’t always the case and the likelihood of this happening is very slim, which makes it a completely bad idea. The problem is that gamblers who indulge in this act only look at the possibility of multiplying that money, and they pay blind eyes to the possibility of losing that money (which is always higher than that of winning) and this is often where the problem really lies. When gamblers realize that the odds are always stacked against them in gambling, they’ll do better to set realistic expectations and make more logical decisions.

Please how? Because I know that such thing can only lean to addiction. It might give a positive feeling but you should understand that it can make you go be addicted if you don't gamble responsibly. The only way it can give someone a positive feeling is when they are doing it for entertainment. Who even gamble when they are depressed, such gamblers don't really know what they are doing because when you gamble if you are depressed you should understand that you every losses will make you more depressed, which means gambling when you are depressed is not even appropriate.

That's why those closest to me always advise me to avoid gambling. While some say that all bad things can be overcome with discipline and good emotional and financial management, I doubt everyone can do it. Even people who are financially disciplined are still at risk of becoming gambling addicts, throwing away all aspects of discipline and management. I've seen several people addicted to gambling, and in the past, they weren't greedy or indulgent. However, gambling damaged their psychology. They would win big but with small bets, and the jackpot kept piquing their curiosity, causing them to neglect all aspects of financial and emotional management, ultimately leading them to fall into something that destroyed their lives.

It's exactly dopamine addiction, it's the dopamine that you get when you win that makes you addicted and above all this substance, they explained to me, which every time always takes a higher dose to obtain the same benefit, therefore exactly like a drug.

Humans are never satisfied in anything. Be it gambling or not, we are always addicted to things that are either working for us or gives us hope that it will work for us, especially when we hear others winning stories. That's exactly what bet does. It either make us feel we're good at prediction and that our luck will shine one day. To make it worst, it teases us a near success tactics. That's, like one game will cut from one's games, making you feel you only failed by mistake and that you can win next prediction if you're careful and analytical enough. Next game, one will cut again and it will present same false hope. This move is what lures one into addiction.

The dopamine release that occurs after winning is what actually makes people chase that feeling again, it's basically a natural reaction for everyone. It works just like an addiction, we get deeply involved in it, then to get the same feeling as before, the mentality of winning bigger, taking more risks, trying more often is created, and this is basically what forces us to go back to gambling, there is no control, and we are driven by emotion and greed...

That's right. Any action that once brought us some positive feelings will trigger a desire to repeat it. This isn't necessarily gambling; if you look closely, we often do many things that evoke pleasure. Moreover, when we return to gambling, if we manage to win a significant amount, it's the repetition of that win, or the desire to win more, that triggers the urge to repeat the game over and over again. Yes, some, understanding these mental traps, quickly overcome them and stop gambling, but many, thinking they're safe from gambling addiction, suddenly develop this, one might say, quite serious disorder.

If you know for yourself that the outcome will not be good for you, don't start. That's why others get hurt because they overdo it. Instead of just trying, it gets worse because the stakes increase and the losses also increase. If you know yourself and you don't really need it, don't start either; it won't help you in the long run. Your friends' suggestions to you are right, because if you don't have emotional discipline, you can lose a lot, and not everyone is really lucky at gambling.

winning can be very addictive and most gamblers would always want to experience that feeling that comes with winning over and over again even though they try to take a break..There us a mental effect it has, like you explained, the dopamine sensation is another reason why gamblers get triggered, it takes a lot of discipline to quit gambling when it gets to that point where they want to always win
