When you say the word entrepreneur you kind of suggest that we're talking about a small business, in which case you need to be careful who and how generous you are along the journey. When management is too strict in approving leave, it creates stress, dissatisfaction and negative feelings among employees, which ultimately affects their performance and loyalty.I have saw a situation where owner used to keep one salary of the employee, it is an indirect way to force him for retaining long time but this is actually a wrong way. Forcing them or torturing them not always work in the favour of the business. Profit and quality work always depends upon the workers, so to promote a business one has to be work for the favour of employees equally.

The best way to capture the mind of your employees is nothing but good treatment, you have people working for you and you don’t pay them well that aren’t gonna stay there for long cus they will get better offers and leave for good so you definitely gonna pay them well to stay thats the very first thing to consider good pay beat every other reason I’ll mention.
If they aren’t good enough for your standard you can train them to the standard you want thats like building a system which will last for a period of time good treatment is what keep people around you

I see cutbacks happening all over, and in some ways it is necessary because businesses can build up a lot of slack over time. Plus businesses need to adapt to current trends and sometimes that means removing obsolete or inefficient functions that may exist. This is how they survive, it's just a shame when redundancies happen on a personal level but if a business does not adapt then a lot more jobs may be at risk. Sometimes they cut too hard however and are merely chasing profits, so it's difficult to find a balance in this area and it requires an intuitive leader.

I don't totally agree with that. Even though the pay could contribute to the leaving of an employee, I think mental peace will still take the first position in the list for me. I don't know if everyone has the same mindset or it's just me, but for me, I think if you are not getting mental peace in a workplace, it's going to become very difficult for you to stay there even if they are paying you very well, and I say this based on personal experience. If there is constant nagging, the boss or the manager is unfriendly and always angry without any reason, your colleagues are more like enemies than friends, and there are a lot of other things that contribute to this. So, I think the best way to retain your employees is to provide them with the best workplace environment, there should be no negativity at all, allow them to work peacefully, and give them enough time for it so that they don't feel pressured, instead of getting angry at every small thing, motivate them because that will encourage them to work harder, and that's only going to benefit your company/firm. Unfortunatey, not a lot of bosses or managers understand this, and it's a harsh reality that there is a lot of toxicity in most of the workplaces, throughout the world.

I would like to ask a personal question about when an entrepreneur should look for employees. What is the right way to retain them and keep them interested in your company? I appreciate creative and abstract ideas.
As an entrepreneur you don't need to start employment of staff immediately, but I think before you can consider employing staff, you should be sure that you really need the staff you are employing also you should also consider that your business is capable of paying staff and it will not affect the business,. Staff can also be considered if you need to increase your business and you know you need extra hands to help the business move forward. On retaining your staff, I think we should consider Maslow's theory of motivation. I might not remember all what the theory says right now, but I think it talks about the needs of your staff. These needs include monetary, career advancement, sense of inclusion etc. We all have different needs and we also get motivated different. According to Maslow theory of motivation, you need to consider the needs of the staff, and when you meet their need, it's a way to motivate them and also keep them working for you for a very long time.

You asked a question on when an entrepreneur should need an employee and right ways to retain them. Definitely when an entrepreneur cannot run his business alone and needs helping hands, that’s when employees come in.
These are also right ways to retain them 1. A fair monthly salary 2. Provide other benefits/compensations for them like performance bonuses,HMO, overtime pay etc 3.Create flexible work schedules 4. Create opportunities for growth 5. Support and encourage employees 6. Create a good and friendly relationship with employees
I believe with these ways one can retain employees. Employers should always learn how to treat employees right, so as to keep them for a longer period and it also helps gives the company a good reputation.
Good point, buddy. What I'm thinking about is point number two, that not all jobs provide benefits or compensation for their employees because it may not be mandatory, or because the company has its own reasons for not providing these things. And the main thing, in my opinion, is salary. Sometimes someone will leave their job because they receive a higher salary offer, even though they were comfortable in their previous job. But sometimes, due to needs that must be met and desires, they may take a job offer with a higher salary.
