I guess you meant to say those that gamble irresponsibly?  Well, they are the cause of their problem like you already stated, they took gambling as the source of making money and it hurt them from the start and they were supposed to realize it on time and yet were ignorant of the addiction signs they were ddevelopin, that's why gambling ends up to destroy their life which they could have stopped by themselves. It is true that there are people that makes good amount of money through gambling but the problem is that the percentage is too low and because of the success of this few people majority of youth are thrown into addiction. Even from a mathematical standpoint, there should be people who, even over the long and medium term, win more money than they lose. And while many of them will eventually start losing money gambling, I can even give the example of a friend of mine who, at least for now, actually wins more than he loses.
