Anything one does with excessive spending of time without limit is not good. They might not see it as anything bad if they really don't have anywhere else to spend that time on until the time for other things comes and they still decide to put gambling in front instead of what matters. I have seen people who spend hours analyzing games; once you ask them, they will always use the excuse of "What else should I be doing with my time?" whereas there are plenty of things that it could have been invested in.

Behavior you certainly won't see with someone that is either playing for fun or not addicted (yet). The only way of staying afloat without being carried off by the impulsive forces during a time of crisis is to have firm boundaries that stop us doing something that lacks good reasoning when we are in crisis. They are about to win, but it is not money won already, so their talk should not be taken seriously, and even if they are trying to claim to have won more, then they lose to gambling. I agree with you. A person who is addicted to gambling keeps thinking about these things all day long. He does not take responsibility for himself and his family and keeps thinking about how to get rich quickly from gambling. At the end of the day, they are the ones who suffer the most losses. And those who gamble but are not addicted can be understood even if you observe their behavior. I consider myself a responsible gambler. Because I always gamble as much as possible depending on my financial situation and responsibilities.
