passion vs practicality

The truth is, most people, and I mean absolute vast majority of us, don't have any "passions" in the true meaning of that word. That term was reserved to a very strong, often uncontrollable emotion/desire, but in its current use, it has been diluted to be just a synonym of a hobby or interest.

You can be passionate for anything. I.e helping children may be one of your passions and if you do this, it is fulfilling but I doubt it creates much money. Often passion and what puts food on the table are not aligned. Passions should be done with no pressure and once you are pressured to earn money, it becomes tiresome.

Now are days you have to consider paying your bills before thinking about whether you like your job or not because, that's what is putting food in your table. People go through a lot in their work place just lto make sure that they put food on their table, because getting a good job is difficult depending on the country that you find yourself infact ninety percent of worker you see today especially in big corporations are not actually enjoying their job they are only working because of the money.


It takes a strong will and mindset for anyone to leave what is putting food on their table. You have to have money before thinking about doing something that makes you happy.
