Although I live in religious society that forbids gambling, it has become increasingly widespread recently, either due to poverty, as people believe gambling can lift them out of it, or due to greed, as some believe it can make them rich.

Actually, the rate of addiction to gambling has increased a lot more than before and this is also due to the internet technology which could not spread all these things to everyone so quickly before but now the internet can. And because the rate of addiction to gambling is increasing now, people are facing a lot of negative news or negative articles and so most people have a negative impact on gambling.
However, I will not say here that the fun of gambling is no longer the same as before; I will say that the fun of gambling is the same as before but the percentage of gambling has increased here.

Maybe this is from your area of norms and values, here people don't see gambling as evil things like before. Back then, if they see you playing a whort game here in my country, they categorize you as someone that is into some secret cult, that's how they view it but today that everyone see what is happening through the internet, they see how some life's has change because of gambling, they don't think that way again but they don't normalize gambling here.

Although, some religions and doctrine dislike gambling, they see it as distraction of the youth, they think the youth do see gambling as a shortcut to make money. They don't want to follow the normal way of 9-5 anymore. It's also concerning because some people gamble while they are at church, they don't care any of their surroundings, so it's not only distraction for youths through finance, it's a distraction through their soul which is why elders don't like it.

I don't use any social media except Twitter, but even there I've noticed a lot of negativity surrounding gambling lately. I think this is primarily due to the fact that gambling projects engage in aggressive (or at least active) advertising and their media presence is very high. It seems the percentage of Premier League teams advertising gambling is well over 50%. People who aren't involved in gambling probably aren't too happy with this information flow. Plus, naturally, there are those who have either suffered from gambling themselves or have problematic relatives or friends.

The thing is, most people only see the bad in things. Something might have a thousand good points, but only one bad one stands out at the end of the day. I think humans have never liked to sit down and talk about something positive; in general, it's more out of morbid curiosity than anything else. Earlier, there were very few online casinos, and it was a lot of fun to go to a physical casino house and play casino. But now online casinos are very easy to access and even those who are not good enough to gamble get greedy and get interested in gambling after seeing other people's winning stories and when they go there, they become very emotional and lose a lot. Later, they are the ones who make bad comments about gambling. Those who gamble purely for pleasure never make bad comments about gambling. But those who go there for income and lose a lot because of emotions, later they make bad comments about gambling.

The casino population does not affect that, the problem is that many casinos advertise big wins, hire influencers to deceive fake winning schemes, so that not a few people are interested in multiplying their money in casinos, some casinos that do things like this, of course for some people who blame it, it is not a wrong act because they advertise and maybe even promise it to their audience, which has an impact on addiction because they have won, become gambling as a source of income or even become their main source of income, such views also exist.

But for as long as no one is bothered and hurt, and these gamblers are gambling with their own money like what we're doing. It will not cause a problem to anybody, things will be well.

Yup, you'll only do what's okay and you're not showing any bad results as you gamble to anybody. Bad results mean that it reflects to your attitude or how you take matters when you're losing or winning.

Actually it is not so complex to assume what is going on with the narrative of gamblers and people who gamble away some money in a recurrent basis.

The number of casinos and bookies have increased through time, thanks to globalization, internet and cryptocurrencies, there are more people being reckless with their money on casinos, so there are at the same time more people losing money and being vocal about their negative experience with their addiction to gambling. It is inevitable, as most of the money flows to the house and just a very minuscule percentage of gamblers get to win money in their gambling sessions.

Yes, that's true. Some societies are very strict about prohibiting gambling for religious reasons, and gamblers are viewed negatively and given a tarnished reputation simply for playing, even if they aren't addicted.
