It's becoming a norm that after a club sacks their coach they tend to play better than their previous games especially in the first game after which the coach was sacked. I noticed this too around teams that do have a change of coach but it's not too dip. When a coach is sack another person is gore to do the job, it's expected of the new coach and the team to show some improvements that there is a change, even if they are bad they put all their energy and mind to the game and win some game. The team that is good will improve and the ones managing will lose their spark as the journey continues because you don't win matches by here and there.

The clubs that had change of coaches recently across different leagues, what have you noticed in their development that makes you think they follow this pattern. I think this new coachs might actually be the worse in the history of change, they are not that different from what the previous ones has done. Eg..Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, these teams haven't show any special changes the club will actually want, they can go from this bad to worse later.

Nothing was scripted today, but certainly, it was no longer Amorim's football they played. Amorim did bench Mainoo and some good players,s but Carreick started those players today. This is the reason why they won.

I understand match fixing in smaller leagues or leagues we don’t know about but to talk of “premier league?” Nah! I doubt the entire federation is just going to sit and watch them ruin football. What happened in Manchester United match today was not something that could have been scripted, they just demonstrated the power of what a new strategy can do when it’s been handled by a coach.

For them to be able to fix a match like this it would take the entire athletes involved because you can’t just bribe off one team without the other and if the rest found out about it, they won’t be too happy since it would take away all the passion away from football. So my verdict is that the match wasn’t scripted.

Actually, it is hard to play if the game is scripted. It will show inside the field how the players are playing because the audience know how they play inside the arena. So if the game is scripted or fixed, more than likely, we will spot it.

So before they think of doing this, they need to gauge if they are ready to ruin their reputation because this would be detrimental to their career.

Based on what you used as an example. I believe some teams personally do things that would lead to the sack of their club manager, if they don't want his activities with them, and I believe they could intentionally do the exact thing that use explained.
However, there are also situations where this happens normally without the plan of the team purposely plan for the manager to take the blame for everything.

I do not think what you said is a rule. I've seen many teams where after change coach, nothing changed and no significant progress or improvement, but rather the opposite... the team seemed worse than before until the new coach managed to "fix thing".

But I confess that on most cases there is an almost immediate improvement and I think this happen for two reasons...

First, because the whole environment changes, the dynamics is different, the way of working and training is altered and sometime even the players' formations and positioning on the field. I believe that coach is responsible for 40% or more of a team's performance, another 40% is the player's skill and the left 20% the luck at the moment.

The other issue, speccialy here in Brazil... I see the players' own desire to want a different coach. It is not uncommon for players to play with less enthusiasm when they no longer like a coach.... they do this intentionally so that the management will change the coach and then when that happens, the players "return to normal" and play with all their dedication again.

I do concur with what you have argued and I believe that there is the need to decouple the notion of football being scripted with the actual fact of match fixing. At the highest level of football, the game cannot be written in advance since there are many people, variables, and institutions that are involved. But it is a fact that match fixing is a problem primarily in the lower or less prestigious leagues whereby the players, referees or the officials are not well paid and are therefore more susceptible to corruption. At such places, rehabilitating an outcome would be an income-generating activity instead of a sporting activity. That notwithstanding, the classification of football as scripted hurts the integrity of the sport and betrays millions of fans who are actually passionate about the sport. Although it is corrupt in certain places, it does not make football a game of corruption and majority of the leagues play competently.

We can't expect anything less from what we have seen, when the coach is changed, the whole system changes along, this time the players have a fresh head dressing room become more motivated, alive and active based on the new coach presence and capacity this time playes move along with the new coach vibes and not the old vibes their are known for previously.

Sometimes it also depends on the level of organization and sportsmanship of the coach. As a coach you are the head of the team on field, so you are supposed to possess a strong level of altruistic character and sportsmanship, this is then combined with your tactical prowess and experience to drive the team in the most motivating and active delivery performance. It is not something you gather overnight but something you have to go and learn and keep retraining yourself to get better.

But that wasn't the case for Real Madrid against Barcelona and it is not always like that sometimes but one thing you should know is that whenever a coach is been sacked and a new one enters, the players will always have this mindset of trying to impress the new coach by winning the first game and every new coach will be so happy and excited to win their first game as they resume coaching and let's say Michael Carrick was so lucky and fortunate to win yesterday against Manchester city but it is not always like that.

As far as I know, it is very likely that in the world of football the scenario is regulated or general (match-fixing) indeed in some matches the situation is real, but if you talk about Man United and Man City, I think it happens on a varying scale if you believe the coach's dismissal is the cause behind improving the game for a serious team.

Even though Michael Carrick once said something that came true for MU I think it was a coincidence and it was all thanks to the team working on the pitch with enthusiasm, not a regulated factor in my understanding for Leagues like Man United and Man City it is difficult to regulate, in my view all the wins were purely due to the team's hard work.

This is not a case or matter of match fixing; it's somehow related, but in this situation the OP is asking a question that relates to how players react and play each time they get a new coach and management, which sometimes has to do with either the way the old coach manages them and places them in places they don't like or doesn't make good use of substitutions at the right time. Some players might or could voluntarily underperform just to make sure they give a reason for the previous coach to be sacked.

This scenarios where the team's players deliberately underperform in many games just to give a bad record to the coach presenting him as incapable of holding the position of manager in the club does happens. And at the end of these bad results the coach gets fired because that's exactly what the players wanted, after the sack they would get back to displaying better performance under a new interim or main coach. Well, I wouldn't call it a kind of script but just a thing of certain interests between players and coaches.

I think such changes are possible in second or third division clubs, where there is less attention from the press and other sports commentators. How did you even figure out that you could doubt someone's multi-billion dollar project and question their authencity? Meanwhile it doesn't even make sense if one decides to invest that much, only to be writing scripts upon scripts behind closed doors. Why do most players fail their doping test? Why bother if it's all scripted? All I'm trying to say is that a change or switch in strategy can change the whole team's performance, and make you nuts, have you wondering if they just acted up so the former coach could leave.

even the best players can only do so much with a bad or a lackluster coach because a coach has to bring out the very best in each player and make them work as a team. i do not doubt that the same players can play better after changing their coach

Yes because even though the coach influence can be seen in few games, we know history and how Manchester United have being behaving in the past and not the first time their are changing coaches and doing well at the start but along the line, their will tend to fuck up we have known them for such performance.
