I'm afraid if anyone is gambling with the mentality to become rich. So I am not sure you can say that he was simply lucky. Most likely, his strategy played a key role.

It's even some people that didn't dream of it that ends up being lucky in some cases tho, but consistency is only what could also make it possible, you might not be gambling to make money but just gambling for fun but with consistency and then one day you could just hit a jackpot like a few lucky people that have won unexpectedly, remember the case with the man that bought a lottery ticket from money that he was refunded by a fruit juice shop because his wife refused to take the juice. Don't get me wrongly, there are people who gambles a day and made it in their life and there are people who has been gambling for the past 1-3 years without winning any substantial amount while gambling and yet didn't quit gambling.

surely you are right, there are people who gambles a day and made it through gambling while there are many who can gamble for 1-3years without wining. but dont forget that those that won in a day have gambled for months and days before they where lucky to have win big. although there are many people who where also lucky to win huge just in the first day of their betting, but it is rear to see such people.

if i found myself in this condition of wining big, i would not continue to gamble, i will definitely quit. what is the need to continue gambling when i have gotten the money.
