That's actually survivorship bias at work in gambling. I know a few people that have madeit big with gambling but the number of people that has lost money surpasses those that have made good money by a VERY huge margin. My belief is that the odds is not naturally in our favor and in order to win big, we have to build a system that is back to a strategy that ensures that as we continue to gamble, we would be profitable in the long run.

This is the main thing and you need to understand it well and you need to keep your limitations and then continue playing with limitation. Gambling can be addictive even if it is for entertainment. This is because the purpose of entertainment does not always limit you there. Through defeat or victory, greed will be born in you. If we are to accurately estimate those who lose in gambling while trying all they could to make sure they win and make some profit and those who are just gambling but allow luck to decide their winning for them, we will see that the gap is too much and those losing while trying to make money are topping the chart, which should have been different if we were not all chasing profit.

I agree with you. Gambling requires luck more than skill most of the time. So those who are overconfident in their skills or strategies may lose and think about other strategies for  win, but in reality, even if they change strategies, the results are uncertain and in turn, it depends on luck. However, mental attitude and decisions can affect winning and losing. So it will never be reasonable if someone chooses it as a means of income while being confident of a sure win. I never thought that gambling would make me rich, rather I think it's fun to spend some money on tickets and if win, it's considered a reward. Those who see gambling as an investment play with the mindset that gambling will change their lives. But in reality, 99% of people's luck does not change through gambling, rather it can be the opposite. When one to three years regularly playing that means he or she is a gambler, so if a gambler don't win any reward in a whole year, I think they can not stop from gambling because they are real gamblers.

I think if it were my main profession I could. You could be lucky in lucky games as black jack or roulette and play once and become rich. However, let's be realistic, that's hard difficult.

The only casino game when you have chances to become rich is poker, because you don't play against casino, only to the rest of players, so the stats and the probabilities aren't going to be manipulated, because thanks to comissions, casinos always wins, and players cand fight for winning the others money.
