Both drugs and gambling are self-destructive entities but when the two combine, they form a vicious circle that may destroy the life of an individual in a very short period of time. Gambling is a source of false hope and financial strain, drugs diminish judgment and restraint and thus it is even more difficult to quit. It does not only affect the addict, families are also affected emotionally, mentally and financially as they stand and watch the person they love just shatter. Encouragement and support are also valued, however, the change cannot occur without the individual embracing the issue and actually being interested in getting better. Change can be achieved independently but you can't do it if you are not ready. You know they say change begin with me, if you want to change something about you and you are not ready to be that change that people are talking about, then you should know that no matter the effort people put on you, there is no way you are going to effect that change within you, this is why gamblers complain of gambling addiction for long time but doesn't do anything about it.

All gambling addictions that we have, we don't have the one that is less hard compared to other gambling addiction, you can't take compare drug addiction to gambling addiction. You can decide to stop gambling today and you will not have any physical characteristics on your body but you can't do that as a drug addict that's why I think gambling addiction is the best of all addictions that we have. Great point, and like what you mentioned a person who wanted to embrace changes needs to have that courage and self-will to accept any help that will aid him to overcome the addiction/s that he's suffering, most of the time an addicted person not just ruined himself but also those people who's near him as financially and emotionally those people that surround him got bothered by the problem that he's carrying.

I gamble and I have everything under control. I don't let it control me, maybe because I am not desperate for a win. If I do win I am glad and if I lose I don't try to chase after my losses. I would counter argue with you If a person is addicted to gambling, it will take many years before that person is completely destroyed. That person can always borrow, find a way to get money, make pauses and return. It will take a long period to turn from a person to a jelly and nobody. For a person who is doing drugs, it is always few years until person is finished, done, dead.

When you say that drugs can be soft and addiction can be manageable, then on opposite side of scales I can put something like buying a scratch card on a plane because you are bored. That single act of gambling is completely harmless, while single act of smoking imho isnt.

Some people don't understand the power of gambling when the understanding is not there. When the understanding is not there, it's likely that gambling will have control over you, whereas one is supposed to control gambling by having understanding.

I got talking with someone one day and he explained that why he doesn't give advice to someone that doesn't ask for it is because he could be insulted by that person and it's going to make him look stupid meanwhile he is even the one trying to help the person. If you ask those guys who take these hard substances  they have very silly responses like the feeling of been high, been fearless, making them.have more courage to face others without fear amongst other responses that makes you wonder if these people are really normal.

Taking heavy drugs can lead to body damage and the inability to think well or do things will the right mindset.
