Well said, Op, but this kind of mentality needs strong emotional control, which most users do not practice. Those who believe in it, when they face such situations, panic, forget what they learned and start chasing. That shows their immature control. If they could just keep one sentence in mind that casinos want you to lose more while chasing then maybe a lot of users could save themselves. But again, if they forget that or do not apply it at the right time, then what will happen? The results are known to everyone, which is a high loss..

Most people don't like to learn from other people's mistakes because they assume it's unreal and they want to taste it their self and see the outcome of their actions which sometimes doesn't end so well, and even after they must have had a bad experience, they could still feel like jamesBond, trying to win back and make things right, they will do it until they lose everything.
Is it really because they feel the experiences of others are unreal or because they feel like they can make a difference and what other experience can't happen to them that pushes them to take their own path even after seeing the result of those who take the same path? Some gamblers are just very stubborn, and they don't listen; even when they are hit by reality, they feel like solid rock, like you have mentioned.

The most strategic way of self-protection in being mentally stable in the face of the possible traumatic effects is by learning what other people did wrong. I do not believe that we should read about the ravage occurring first hand to know that the threats posing are very real, and dangerous to the future. We should employ prudence to follow the footsteps of other people who fail in order to create the same trap. I find that the psychological security is much safer than the negative experience that has to be compensated with our self-respect.
...and more strategic is the fact that taking interest to learn from others experiences does in our own path safe us the cost of falling into similar situations, saving us not only from the dangers but form  a wasted time and energy. Still gamblers can amass a lot of valuable experiences without personally experiencing it but by just paying attention to learn about how it was for others that were in that condition, i

If we must wait till we learn from our lessons, then this has to come in a hard way, because to make lost does not come easy as women expect, that is why some we prefer that we learn from others mistakes than being the main victim, chasing after losses does not guarantees you recovering in full and that is if at all you can even manage to do little, because the more you are trying the harder it becomes.
Learning from others mistake is a hell of a advise, no
If you know what is right and wrong based on what you have learnt so far about gambling, then what is the need of you using a lesson again.
One thing I know is that if you can't learn from other individuals mistake then I don't think you will be able to learn from yours as well, except the experience hits you really hard.
