Alot of gamblers talk about losses in bitcoin or crypto gambling here and there but we don’t really talk much about what happens after a big win because based on what I’ve seen, a big win can go two very different ways afterwards such as when some people hit the jackpots they become more careful and disciplined about their subsequent gambles while others become overconfident than necessary and begin to take risks they normally wouldn’t take earlier thinking that same luck that hit them earlier will hit them again.

I am asking this because sometimes it feels like wins can even be more dangerous than losses especially when they create false confidence in you. If you’ve been in this situation before where you made a decent win, I really want to know how your mindset reacted to it, whether it gave you the confidence to want to continue playing bigger and more frequently or whether you just wanted to protect what you already gained?

Winnings can never be as dangerous as loses, but what is more harmful more is Greed, once greed set in, regardless of which direction you are either Winning or losing, you tend to make a wrong decision that end you in more dangerous positions than the previous.

Overconfidence is a product of Greed, not taking the outcome as luck instead thinking that the winnings is based on their own expertise they keep repeating the same step that game them the winnings in the first place.

Even if you won a million dollars jackpot, you will lose everything if you don't quite at some point of your excitement and take a cool off break from gambling with aim of winning more.

Someone that believes his big win was by luck wouldn't get carried away by it and feel he is in charge of the game. He will appreciate his big win and use it wisely. I have seen a gambler that hit the jackpot and quitted gambling in order to avoid losing back the money.

You're definitely correct on that especially to those who might be shock from what they've won. To be honest, it's more addicting if you win in gambling than losing it because if after a huge winning a streak loss comes, you'll probably want to add more if you depleted your capital and that's for sure the danger comes.

I've been there but I take caution like slowing down, take a moment to think what went wrong and probably recreate or redesign the system you think isn't worth in the long run. The thing with winning is that if you're a cautious bettor you probably end up either be protective of your win but slowly depleting the winnings or you're full ahead of yourself that you'll end up deposit more of what you won, and I guess a lot of bettors have been in this scenario and I'm speaking from my experience tbh.

Based on my experience, the exact word is not careless but overconfident. When I’m on a green streak, my confidence soars, and it carries over even when I’m already on a red streak. Instead of pausing, I keep going and believe I can do it again. Even though I know there’s no such thing as continuous winning, after a few days of winning, I start calculating how much I could make in a month instead of sticking to my goal of stopping at a certain amount. That’s why, even when you’re winning, you still need to take a break so your emotions can calm down.

From what I have observed for posting for so long here in gambling discussions, you are correct OP, OP. It's mostly negative. In my understanding, people who are emotional tend to act outwardly, such as by sharing their feelings and expressing their frustration. I see it as a response when they lose and rant, which could lead to topics being posted here in the forum. This is just my observation and not backed by actual data.

In terms of gambling, it just might be the gambler's fallacy. Making you feel that you've won more than you actually have. It's best to have your gambling analyzed, and it's most likely that the house edge is winning against you.

The jackpot winning is not what becomes more dangerous to the gambler, but the winners themselves turn themselves into their own weapon. All that's required is self-discipline. Before that jackpot was won, you had been experiencing gambling and knew that things don't happen so easily. Because you are lucky to win doesn't mean you control the winning. If the winner allows himself to get influenced, then that's his own problem and not the winning. In conclusion, it's all about personality and has nothing to do with if you win or not.

This is actually what happened to most gamblers especially in their early journey including myself. When I was still new in gambling and I win nice amount, it triggered me to bet more. Lesson learned, it is basically fine to bet more after winning as long as we are always ready to take the risk but of course it will be better if winning should not make us greedier. For example, if we are winning like $1000, better to secure it 80-90% then we can continue with the rest whether to bet more or keep playing as usual.

No doubt, it is always true that when a gambler gets lucky to hit the jackpot and wins a huge sum of money, they always act in two distinctive ways, first, to stop gambling immediately and take a break simply because they are scared of losing the money they just won, and second group that might gets carried away by greed, wanting to play more with the mindset that if he/she continues, he might win another jackpot, of which in most cases, it usually doesn't end as expected. Winning big doesn't instantly make you smarter; that only shows you how disciplined you really are when the money comes, risk, and self-control, You win big does not mean that you're lucky, and more like a mental challenge, you will see the real problem when  your brain begins to tell you a different story after the cash has entered your hand.

After a win, you will start hearing different voices in your head, one will say "it's okay you have done well so protect this one" and the other is saying " don't worry you have figured this out, so you can do it again". And you see that second voice is the one that will put you in trouble, once you start to change how you see the game, my dear you stop thinking in terms of odds and start thinking of momentum, now you think luck is following you.

I have learned from people, that big win only make them want to live a luxurious life, this is what that makes most people that won a big amount of money in gambling and lottery to go back being broke. So if I win huge amount of money, I may finally quit gambling, or quit gambling for awhile. This is very important. Only 1% or less from the money I later earned as profit from the business I used the money to establish that I can use to gamble.

The first time I made a decent win, one of my thoughts was "I have extra money to save and pay bills", which is what I did afterwards. That being said, that win gave confidence that I'd win again, but never to the point that I started betting bigger or playing more frequently. I guess I could say that I reacted appropriately and responsibly after winning that decent amount.

I would say that winnings opposite, are more dangerous as loses. I think it is normal for most gamblers to stop or think about stopping when they have lost. End of money = end of a game. Winnings instead stimulate gambler to continue. When you lose, you can endless chase losses. At one moment a person realizes that he has lost enough, and stop (but maybe returns later). But when you are winning you want more and more. Why stop when you continue becoming more rich?

Winnings create two different directions afterwards, it's either you become discipline or get on with gambling just to keep winning so yeah you're actually right. But then you can't always predict the outcome because you might be thinking you winning is actually the way out but sometimes you would be shocked that walking away from a win can do one so much good than having a comeback after that win. Honestly some wins could be hazardous to you so either ways it's to rather remain responsible and intact after a win

A big win gives you a rush. The thing is, since I've been familiar with the world of betting for a long time, I try not to get too carried away. The biggest mistake one can make after a big win is to think that they are on a roll and keep betting, which usually ends up with them losing everything.

The best thing to do is to request a withdrawal, log out, and come back another day.
