I am asking this because sometimes it feels like wins can even be more dangerous than losses especially when they create false confidence in you. If you’ve been in this situation before where you made a decent win, I really want to know how your mindset reacted to it, whether it gave you the confidence to want to continue playing bigger and more frequently or whether you just wanted to protect what you already gained?

False confidence is a dangerous thing in gambling and its common among winners. I don't know why it happens that the moment you win gambling consecutively, the chances of false confidence increases. This is the point most people increase the amount they use per bet and even chase losses because of the confidence that winning is sure. People with false confidence end up being humbled by the casino no matter what they win, they will lose it back.

I believe the answer to this is in the character of the gambler.  If he is a conservative gambler, then he will be cautious in using his won money.  But if the gambler is a spendthrift then obviously the gambler will get more careless because he thinks that he has more money to spend.  Others even make their bets bigger, thinking that it is their chance to hit big because they thought they were lucky.

As for my gambling experience, it is mixed.  Depending on my mood and the need for money.  If  I have lots of extras, I get more careless in betting since I do not have to worry about future expenses, but if my budget is just enough, I become smarter and do not waste the won money and eventually quit the session while ahead.

What I did was protect what I have already gained, because if I'd joke with it by continuing the game, I would have lost part of that winning or all of them. After I protected what I won that day, gambling for those period of days was not bring luck, it was as if the casino were gradually cutting back their money to recover what I have won before they can release another win to me. Gambling has thought me not to be too zealous and confident for an outcome that I'm not sure of, that's what always discourages me to continue gambling after winning big.

It is a mental game! Just because you win big does not mean you have become a master at gambling. In fact after a big win peoples confidence increase to the point that they lose their ability to think and take risk. They think that is their skill but in reality the odd remain the same. In fact after a big win people become more dependent, increase their bet and end up losing big. This is because they have actually  false belief that an even bigger jackpot is waiting for them lol

Once you win you may think that you have become adept at predicting outcome but this increased confidence will force you to break your own limit or discipline. That is what they have failed to understand in gambling that if you win now, you might not win again, and so you have to utilize whatever win you have. I need to be very smart so that I don't end up regretting my decision .

Having won a hit, the best thing is to stop gambling and quit the game and if for any reason you desire to continue, you have to be very careful, so that you don't lose all you have won by gambling a little more and quit if wins are not coming.

You should have total control and not fall into the illusion that winning big is the start of your luck. You should protect it and think that this big win is very rare. It's your time to enjoy your winnings; it's better to take a break and spend your winnings on things you want to buy, so you'll have something to remember your winnings.
This is what I've done after big wins: I buy things that I need, and that makes winning memorable and worthwhile.

Normally, I feel more relaxed when I hit a big win, there’s less pressure because I already have some cushion and I’m not stressing too much about losing. Before that big win, I’d say I was pretty disciplined and smart with my bets, but after it happens, that’s usually when things start to change for me.

You do have to be careful and on guard for a little while after taking a big win, because it is human nature to feel buzzed at this moment. There is a small element in most of us that makes us think we're super smart at those moments, that we know better or may somehow be on a lucky streak so should go for the next long shot. Not only that we are suddenly flush with extra funds and might take less care with those funds than we should. When we are in a hard battle or had a loss or two, we are super protective of our money, but that goes into reverse when we've won. So it's definitely wise to be alert and self aware during these time periods, however it usually doesn't take too long to snap out of it.

I think big wins will reveal who your personality. You either become very careless and reckless or otherwise. But how you act with big wins depends on your experience in gambling with wins and losses, your current financial literacy level and lifestyle. Actually, it has been already proven that wins are more dangerous than losses, because people learn good lessons from losses, while wins can only make gamblers (the majority of them) to get a false sense of confidence, which will eventually result in more losses.
The first instinct from people who manage to get money from the casino is not protecting what they have gotten in their first strike of good luck, they would rather move onto their next session risking more money than usual, because they believe that have managed to crack the code for infinite money.

Personally, I think the first time I had a big win I wasn't matured enough to contain the excitement so I felt it was an opportunity to increase my stake and continue the same partain of bet that gave me the winning but when the money was reduced I realized that it was a wrong move to gamble with the winning the best thing should have been to avoid gambling for a long time.

Wining is a reward so it can't be more negative in your gambling than how you are losing, if the wining is dangerous why would someone be gambling to win?, the dangerous one is losing because if you are wining you wouldn't be chasing anything but if is losing you will see gamblers taking so much risk and that is dangerous, so actually this is the one you should be talking about dangerous, I have win in my gambling and I didn't see any danger in the amount I won and when I go back to gamble later, so actually is from my experience I'm telling you that is the best feeling to get discipline in the gambling from the wining.

Big wins can sometimes be deceiving if you are seeing from a greedy gambler's point of view. Because every time you win, you feel the urge to win bigger and increase your bet, until you start to lose again and slowly returning your profits back to the casino.

But if you see it from a disciplined gambler's sight, big wins make your target achieved, thus you need to call it a day before you start losing then, as wins when used to bet again most likely end up in bigger losses.
