Indeed everyone one this forum is a stranger to you,but when you’ve stayed long on the forum and you’ve gotten to know a lot of people you would no longer regard them as strangers.When I joined this forum newly I had a lot of old members I looked up to and wanted to be like them in terms of how they contribute quality post to forum,now I have gotten to this level and I’m still looking up to them and want to be like,in this scenario I won’t refer them to as strangers because I have known their personality on the forum.And I don’t even expect those old members to PM me to participate in scam projects,because of the reputation they’ve built in this community it would be so worthless to ruin the trust the community and it’s members have towards them.Anyways,stay careful because most old users account can still be compromised.

It would certainly raise some red flags if I, as a newbie received an unsolicited private message from a higher ranked account talking about some vague investment opportunity. I would pay no heed to such messages.
Greed is one of the reasons why people get scammed through shady investment platforms. It ought to be obvious that as a newbie to a forum where everyone is anonymous, one should be extremely cautious and hesisitant in entertaining such messages as you literally have no idea who the person controlling the account is.

As a newbie, you may not always be rescued/warned by moderators or tags from DT members, hence the need to remain on your tippy toes so you do not become a victim. What I would include is the unsolicited business offer is not just a rank down promotion. It's also no public scrutiny. Any offer made publicly can be asked about by a number of people. And one on PM can direct the discussion between the scammer and the target. This helps you build urgency. Narrow down the newbie and diminish the desire to ask questions from others. When it's not possible to discuss openly on the forum  I would think that's a good time to slow down and double check before even going so far as to continue the discussion.

I saw a thread some weeks ago where someone was complaining, that he received a message about investment from someone in this forum.
Most of this old members that are messaging newbies in other to scam them has already been given negative feedback by DT members in this forum, so when you see a PM from old forum members, what you should do is to check their feedback and from there feedback you will know the kind of person they are.
But I will advise, regardless of their feedback tell them to make it public or forget about it.

And for the DT members if you are giving trust to someone, make sure the member is trustworthy because if they are involved in scamming newbies here, and the newbie says he believed the member was trustworthy because of the trust you gave the member, you too will be held accountable to some extent.

Haha, bro, to be honest, we all are strangers on this forum until we are not one day, but still I believe everyone is a stranger at some point to someone else, even if they know each other for a long time. Also, I would say most people might not follow this advice because the more you fuck around, the more you find out is a line that someone made online, and I happened to read it and quickly got the sense that why people even try this shit. Like, if one thing is risky, like mountain climbing, which is completely optional, but still people would risk their lives, make videos, and the scenery they have seen after facing all that struggle, they will show to us for free?

It is better not to invest by trusting anyone but to give importance to your own analysis. In the case of beginners, many are interested in investing before they have gained enough knowledge, in their case, the trust rating will contribute well to knowing about a member. In my opinion, a trusted member will never give investment advice through personal messages.

This took a different turn from the most I've seen on the forum. It’s always about how new accounts, newbies are always trying to message ranked users with an offer or some sort of business and the experience of time always outsmarts these newbies.

To think that ranked users would do that to newbies is a bit odd but very possible, considering the fact that users that does things are negatively tagged users that attaches little value to their account.
I think another set of persons that we should take note of are the wake up accounts and accounts that seems to have changed hands, these ones can do some damages too which is why, it remains ideally that all deals should be public at some point before going silent.

That's correct mate. A perfect example of what you are saying is on this particular thread here newbie with technical know-how . The rank tag newbie has made it so easy to look at every account as someone new to the crypto space and with no knowledge at all whatsoever when it comes to affairs of Bitcoin. But there are some exceptions among the newbies here who have experience in even similar communities like this one and know how to find their way around.

I think this very forum is not meant to make anything so confidential, and any idea that any old member has should be publicised, I have known this very platform to be very transparent, and even the members of this very forum, but if any member is now making matters confidential more especially to those who are newbies, and trying to initiate them into a business, I think such thing should be taken care of. This is a platform where people come to learn about Bitcoin , and it's investing, and also gain general knowledge, and ideas, but it would be wrong if some members are now trying to take advantage of newbies, and try to exploit them here to there own advantage, and in this case , members should be very careful about the kind of message they received, and try to verify properly before they act.

That's a very wrong way to look at the situation, people's experience before arriving here should not be invalidated simply because they're newbies, newbie is just a title, doesn't necessarily depict experience.
I have used reddit for a long time before coming here, and to be honest, the UI of Bitcointalk is much easier to use than most other forums and I give the site creators credit for that. Just by clicking the Home button, you see virtually every section in the forum and can choose where to engage. The sections are represented with familiar terms that common reasoning can identify with. It's not that hard for someone who is not new to discussion forums. Older members can only mess with total newbies to the space, you cannot succeed in scamming someone with wealth of experience simply because he has a newbie title.
