You are right, in fact, those who primarily see gambling as the only way out of poverty and despair and think that they can change their fate, but it is difficult and dangerous for them to quit gambling with such hopes or expectations. However, I think you are thinking of gambling for an hour and then returning home, that is, offline gambling. If I gamble, I think setting the amount of money is more important than the time. Knowing your risk tolerance and being aware keeps a gambler from making decisions beyond your capabilities. Every decision should be made considering your financial situation because if you lose, its impact will be on you. So setting an hour will reduce the time spent gambling, but if someone is not  careful about their capabilities, then even in that short time, they can suffer a great loss.

I have seen many new  gamblers that fall victim to be addicted to gambling because there is no good planning toward gambling, first, make gambling a fun and you will learn a lot of things from gambling that will make you to enjoy gambling the way you want it, this is the reason some gamblers are finding it difficult to enjoy gambling the way they want because they want to get quick wealth from gambling without thinking how gambling work, only those that don't have time limit in gambling can easily Fall victim to too much losses which is what is affecting some gamblers these days.

That's better, and sports betting is also not as addictive as casino games. I have barely seen or heard about people who are addicted to sports betting, and even if I have, I'm pretty sure that the number is way lower than the number of people who are addicted to casino games. People spend so much time and money on casino games, and most of them even lose count about how much they have lost so far after one point. I think failing to stick to your time limit in gambling is considered fine, as long as it does not happen too often, and as long as you're not overspending, and you make sure every necessary thing is done for the day, so there will be no other responsibilities being neglected. Sometimes we lose track of time when we’re enjoying ourselves, and that can happen to anyone. What matters more is whether it becomes a habit and starts affecting your priorities, finances, or relationships.
But still, it would be best if we could control ourselves and follow the time limit we set, because it only shows how disciplined we are. Setting a limit is one thing, and respecting it is another. If you are trying to limit the time you spend on playing casino games, maybe what should keep you in line should be a financial budget of the amount you intend to use in playing gamble, not the time.
With a budget, you may exhaust your budget faster than a time duration and if you are playing based on an allocated time, you may gamble and spend some more money in gambling because the the time you have set for gambling has elapsed. With a budget you will be in better control of your gambling.
