I totally agree with this. If you invest a huge amount of money in promotions and advertising but only for a short period of time, you may see some good results at first, but those results will be temporary. As soon as the promotions end, there will be no new users joining and those who already joined will most likely leave.
Consistency is what matters most. Reputation and brand awareness must be built step by step. With consistency, you will always attract new users and most of them will become loyal customers.
